"Extra" has learned from a source close to Owen Wilson that the actor did indeed attempt suicide over the weekend.
The source revealed to "Extra" that Wilson has been depressed for the last few months, but insisted it is not over a broken relationship.
The source also told "Extra" that Wilson's brother, Luke, found him and that Wilson's family and friends are shocked.

I can’t believe that you can commit suicide! I thought that this is just a rumor from someone wants to destroy your reputations in show business,when I keep on research in different websites about your biography and pictures,there is a highlighted word “suicide attempt”, I ask myself” does owen wilson commit suicide?!” I said in my mind “It can’t be! this is just a joke!and he’s not crazy to do this!”. when I have second option in other websites , it confirmed that the news is terribly true.

I love your movies. One of my personal favorites is the Royal Tenenbaums. I have manic depression. My friends just think I’m wild and crazy because I try to hide my depression from them. Sometimes all you can do it take things one day at a time. Yes people love you and are “counting on you” but don’t worry about everyone else right now… focus on you and what you need.
I really admire you. I’ll be praying for you during this challenging time in your life.

I’ve suffered from depression all my life, I’m a 51 divorced female.
I was greatly relieved to learn that Owen is alive but very sorry that he is suffering. My heart goes out to you Owen.
I am utterly alone. Medicine and therapy have never worked.I was abused and ignored as a child…and also as a wife.I am a failure as an adult. I feel so sorry for my sweet dog. He deserves better. If it weren’t for my dog and cat I’d kill myself.

Owen: You need to remember a lot of people love you and that you are very important in a lot of hearts. Dont let magazines and Hollywood bring you back down. You can pull through…I believe in you and I know you can do it! I’m twelve and I believe you can do it! I’ve seen all the movies you’ve been in and you are a very talented actor. I know what you are going through I went through the same thing about 3 years ago then a year later and last year to. well i still am going through it.It has been troubling me for about 4 years and I am only 16. You just need a good support system. Friends family(your brothers) and maybe a counselor or something. It will take some time but you will get through it.

My prayers go out to Owen Wilson and his family. I know how hard it is to see coverage of your family’s tragedy all over the news. It hurts you and your family all over again. You bring smiles to alot of peoples faces and I can’t wait to see you in your next project. I hope you and your family can recover from this privately.
To John, You obviously have it made or you would understand. You can have it all and be depressed. Maybe you should take a psych class or two. Clinical depression is not something you can fix by having it all.
Am so sorry to hear about your pain Owen. Depression runs rampant in my family… it took my mother over 30 years ago and tried to take my daughter from me 3 times now. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you recover from this terrible illness. And I believe you will recover Owen! Know that God is with you every moment of every day and when times get tough, ask your angels to help you find the joy… the will to carry on. Then listen carefully because God will answer.
I am a huge fan of yours and truly appreciate your talents! In fact, my entire family has watched Wedding Crashers dozens of times now… and laugh hysterically each time we watch Shanghai Noon & Shanghai Knights (dozens more)! You’ve brought such joy and laughter into our lives and for that, we are all grateful to you. You are a blessing to humanity Owen. You may not feel that way today… But I pray that in time, you will discover your value to this world! And believe you me… you are worth a ton of gold to us all!!
I know its hard to believe that any good will come of this whole experience, but it will. I’ve been there. I knew I was depressed, which is why I was on medication. When I got depressed again (while on anti-depressants) I figured there was no hope, nothing could help, the problem was me. Turns out, it’s not me. It wass the medication. After a lengthy hospital stay I got the right medication. I plan on discussing the topics of depression and suicide with my students who are at the most vulnerable ages for these conditions. My thoughts are with you. I hope your pain goes away, and I hope that people are respectful of your privacy.
