As Britney Spears’ custody battle explodes in court, two very different sides of the pop star are emerging today.

Us Weekly says that Britney’s antics with her children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, have gone way beyond giving them Doritos and soda.

The magazine’s Jill Martin tells “Extra” she is now drinking in front of the kids.

In addition, Martin says Britney’s former employees paint the pop star as a mother consumed by paranoia.

Says Martin, “Nannies say sometimes she gets so out of control she can't take care of the kids. The nannies have to take over.”

And the bizarre behavior continues behind closed doors.

“She would take off all of her clothes and ask if she looks sexy,” adds Martin.

Worse, sources tell the magazine that Britney “treats her children like toys” and only picks them up when she wants to play.

But today, another Britney insider is jumping to her defense.

Brandy Navarre, co-owner of X17online.com, tells “Extra” a confidante named “Jeff” paints a very different picture.

“Jeff” says that Britney’s kids are everything to her, and that she never gave them soda in bottles. In fact, he claims there is hardly any soda in the house!

He also calls Britney “the most generous person you could meet,” and says she is “shy” around men and just hopes to find the right guy.

As for her constant partying, he claims, “She doesn't even go out on nights when she has the kids and she becomes very sad immediately after they leave.”

In court today, lawyers for Britney and Kevin are fighting to keep details of the couples’ custody war secret.

K-Fed’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan claims that releasing the documents could expose the couple’s children to harm, but an L.A. court commissioner said today he would consider requests to make them public.

In the meantime, Britney’s custody war continues to rage.

Her close friend and assistant, Alli Sims, was served with papers ordering her to testify about Britney’s parenting skills, and her bodyguard Daimon Shippen was also served with a deposition subpoena this week.

Britney is a 25 year old single mother but she is a star. The spot light is on her. She can not even go to the bathroom in peace without someone knowing about it. Kevin is only trying to get more money so he is doing everything in his power to make Britney look bad. Too bad the kids are involved. If you really think about it though…their father (Kevin) brought the kids into this so why isn’t he labeled as a bad father?

im not saying i agree with Britney…i dont know her so i cant judge her…but to everyone saying that she is unfit…how many times have u been out in public and your skirt came too high…climbing out of a car someone saw your underwear…and how many of u can actually say that u wear underwear 365/year…none of u…and if u can, congratulations ms./mr. perfect…shes human…kids fall out of bed…parents need a drink every now and then…people party…but because she is famous its like omg she gave to babies doritos and soda…shes to devil…yeah right…too everyone so critical i say build a bridge and get over it…the girl is a star…constantly photographed…so yes all her little mishaps as a mommy are caught…lets have someone photograph u 24/7 and lets see what they find…not so perfect now are u???

i think britney loves her kids. i know she parties alot but i dont think she is a bad mother. but she probably needs some psychological help. maybe she is going thru depression. THINK bRITNEY NEEDS TO TAKE HER KIDS AND ESCAPE. SHE IS UNDER CONSTANT ATTENTION AND CRITIZISM. I CAN ALMOST UNDERSTAND WHY SHE MAY LOOSE IS SOMETIMES, I FEEL BAD FOR HER, I AM SURE SHE IS A GOOD MOM, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH GOING OUT AND HAVING A GOOD TIME IF THE KIDS ARN’T AROUND. IF THE WORST THING SHE HAS DONE IS GAVE THEM CHIPS AND POP, THAN I WOULD SAY SHE IS A SAINT COMPARED TO HALF THE MOTHERS IN THIS WORLD! Based on interviews and her public persona prior to her divorce, Britney seems like a really sweet and down to earth girl. It is very difficult to believe all the stuff the media is saying in its efforts to demonize her. She seems like a doting mother who made a BIG mistake by marrying a loser who is now after her money, big time. Him and his vulture of an attorney are now using the kids to get her $$$, Its very obvious. She has every right to go out and do what she wants, she is 25 and single, and when the kids are with their dad, she can go do what she wants. Its sad that people wanna judge her and tear her down.
I feel for Britney. All these people believe what they read. It’s really sad and pathetic that everyone is so wraped up over Britney. I think all the sane people know what Kevins all about. He wants more money. If he gets custody then he owns Britney. Do not let that happen! stop believing everything you read!! Britney is heart broken and the media is thrilled! The media will report anything bad they hear because they like the drama. Britney your fans are here for you and we believe in you! Don’t give up!

I had problems being alone after my marriage died also. I tried so hard during the whole marriage, doing all the work and NEVER going out to have fun myself. I took it to the extreme, and she is too. It’s post preggers blues, and the loss of her marriage. It’s also hard to find a good man, when you have two children. you have to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. She needs a “friend with benifits” that she can trust until she finds the right man (or woman-love is about people) and protect herself more in the process.
I also think she needs to get the kids out of the pappz presence. I don’t ever see picts of Kevin with the pappz…..the kids should not be around that right now. They are going through a break up too!

Just as thugs support thugs, miscreants support miscreants. Only a mother like Britney, would support such irresponcible behavior. Even most prostitutes wear pantys in public. No sane or mentally stable parent would expose themselves in public the way she has. She has lowered herself to the level of whoredom and insults the honorable and distinguished position of motherhood. I wouldn’t trust her to walk my dog, let alone watch my kids.

Britney is a great person. Leave her alone. She deserves those kids. Where he hell was Kevin when she was with Sean everywhere? Oh yeah in Las Vegas gambling. Kevin is a sorry excuse. If he cared so much about his kids why isn’t he asking for custody of his other two children? Maybe because the mother of those two kids doesn’t have money? Oh yeah it’s not that hard to figure it out why Kevin is so up in arms about Sean and Jayden. Because Britney is worth over $100 million.

I support Britney, if we are gonna judge mothers there are many mothers out there that do harm their children but because she’s in the spot light people like to get involved in her life. Of course Kevin wants full custody, I mean that guys has caused so much pain Britney’s life. Just like in the beginning he’s just there for the money, so now he wants more money.

ok let me ask this, how many parents out there can honestly say they have never had a drink in front of their kids? I think if Britney wasn’t a celebrity then what she does wouldnt be such a big deal. My thought is if Kevin gets primary custody then Kevin gets more money……that sounds to me like what is really happening here, Kevin wants the money that will come with having primary custody of the boys. If Britney was really this bad then why did he bring her around his kids he had with Char and why did he have not one but two kids with her?

Britney is a mess and does not deserve to have her kids. I gave her the benefit of the doubt until i saw the video of her hitting that car and she was only worried about her car and showed know what responsibility like those of us WHO knows darn well it is the law to aleast attempt to find out who owned that car, and yet to day i see her on Extra now that she is fighting custody of her kids took them out to eat and she did strap them in and she knew she would be watch, SHE IS A FAKE A PHONEY AND DESERVES TO LOSE HER KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is clear that Britney loves no one as much as she loves herself. No mother who loved her child would expose herself in such a degrading manner. No mother would open herself up, by her abhorrent behavior, to such devastating ridicule. She has placed her children in the crippling position of either, one day trying to defend their mothers bad reputation, or suffer from the effects of it. What a bleak legacy she has given them.
