Tammy Faye Messner may be battling stage four colon cancer, but she wants her fans to hear some encouraging news: she’s gaining weight.

After her weight plummeted to a dangerous 60 pounds, Tammy Faye wrote on her website that doctors have stopped trying to cure her deadly disease.

But in a new letter on her website, a brave Tammy Faye revealed she recently gained five pounds.

“I have finally gained some weight,” she wrote. “I have gone from 60 pounds, to 65, for which I am very thankful.”

She said, “In closing, I want you to know that I am praying for you and your loved ones and I am believing [in] God for complete healing. God is a healer of EVERYTHING!”

She ends the note cheerfully, saying, “I will let you know when I get to eat my hamburger! HA!"

Tammy, well, I’m only 17 but when I first saw you on The Surreal Life, I instantly became attached to your michievious humor and acceptance to all people. This morning, when I heard on the news about your death, my heart sank…I wish I could have visited your site more often to know how ill you were just to pray, God knows one more prayer could have made a difference. I genuinely miss you, and we all loved you for you! I guess God knew that you had done all that you could do here and wanted you to be with him in heaven…besides, he knew how much you wanted that hamburger and those french fries flooded with ketchup! Enjoy!

Tammy,

I am praying for you. I had cancer. I know I had it in 7/2004, but it was not diagnosed unil 9/2005. I was down to skeletal or scare crow size, from DD to B cup bra and from 16 to barely an 8. The pain was excruciating and I could not sit up for more than three minutes at a time. I needed a pillow to sit on and one to prop up on my side in the car. I don’t understand why and I have a “permanent ostomy”. I hate this as I feel I will never have a husband now, however, I just hate it anyway. Please contact Creflo Dollar at World Changers Church International, Atlanta, GA and please get Rowe to get you Gloria Copeland’s Healing CD and keep it playing in the background. Even though I live in the Atlanta area I never contacted Creflo but my sister, who lives in TN, sent me Gloria Copeland’s CD. I know I have been cured of this disease and I am praying for you. Flood your mind with this CD and only agree that you are healed. My heart and love goes out to you and your family, because i know how you are feeling because my mother and my nephew is going through a battle of cancer, which that i believe god does heal, my mother is a breast cancer survior and now we are praying and hoping the best for my nephew..
As long as we believe in the man up above and have faith in him, he can and will heal, protect and love you.

When I was young, lonely, frustrated and misunderstood, I would sing to myself “We are Blessed, we are blessed, we are ble…..sssed”. Your song was an inspiration to me and kept me company.
Thank you for that.

We all change Tammy. From everything I see in you, you have changed to a true and understanding Christian (open minded/becoming friends with Ron Jeremy etc…) and you radiate more now than EVER before.

You are an amazing woman…you amaze the rest of us with how strong your fath is…I didnt think anyone had faith like that now a days.

Im so sorry that you are in so much pain…but I know God will not make you suffer and when he needs your help in heaven he will bring you home.

Dear Tammy Faye
I lost my sister in April she letf 5 small children behind,. and I promess to her that I will takecare her children. I cry for her every day,. She was strong like you with planty hope.We try everythings there was no cure for her. The cancer spread in the splin, liver and lung. She suffer for 5 years she was in pain every single days. I was there for her until she when with the lord.
Tammmy when I saw you it remain me of my sister she was only 29 kilo.
When I saw you my heart a break I am so sorry that you have suffer from cancer as my sister. there is hope and miracle, belive in Jesus name, amen

Dear Tammy,
I wish you all the best, i’m sorry you have to go thru this battle, but i believe god doesn’t give you anything you can’t handle. I lost my mom to lung cancer in April of 2007, and there isn’t a day that goes by that i don’t talk to her and cry about her. I miss her sooooo much, i miss her voice on the phone or in person.I always tell myself shes up in heaven looking out for us, and i know you will be doing the same thing. you will always be in my thoughts and my prayers.
