Tammy Faye's Dying Wish Revealed

Emaciated and struggling to speak, Tammy Faye Messner’s warrior spirit and insurmountable courage could still be seen during her emotional interview with Larry King.

Though Tammy admitted to Larry that she’s bedridden most of the time, she was still able to smile for the cameras and bat those trademark lashes.

Even her husband Roe can’t believe the way she’s handling her life and death battle.

“We make it good, don’t we honey?” Roe said to his wife through laughter.

Tammy is battling inoperable lung cancer. She’s down to 65 pounds, and her days could be limited. Though she said she’s still scared, she’s confident about where she’s going.

“I’m going straight to heaven,” she said, happily.

Poignantly, Tammy told Larry one of her last wishes.

“I still want to be cremated,” she said.

Now, only “Extra” has one of Tammy’s friends speaking out about her ordeal.

Ron Jeremy, who starred with Tammy on “The Surreal Life” and grew close with her during that time, is in shock at his friend’s frail state.

“Seeing her last night was very painful,” Ron said. “You get choked up.”

Still, Ron isn’t surprised to see her fighting spirit pushing through the pain.

“She told me two weeks ago she was shopping for shoes,” he said of Tammy’s incredible will to live.

Now, Ron is breaking news to “Extra,” revealing that the woman with whom Tammy's ex-husband Jim Baker cheated is speaking out.

Jessica Hahn has reached out to Tammy, calling her on the phone and pleading, “Please don’t go. The world needs you right now.”

Still, Tammy said she has not heard directly from her ex-husband, saying only, “God’s going to do it.”

Today, while speaking to a small crowd, the disgraced televangelist said on his webcast, “I feel such a heaviness.”

Tammy’s son, pastor Jay Baker, said his father’s thoughts are with his dying ex-wife.

“He always tells me how he’s praying for Mom, and thinking about her,” Jay said.

Tammy, even in what could be her last days, is thinking about more than just her fate – she’s managing to reach out to the world.

“I’d like to say I genuinely care,” she said. “I want you to find peace. I want you to find joy.”

Sweet Tammy:

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of one of His saints.”

I have followed you for many years and I admit, made fun of you from time to time. You have always been “larger than life.” Your appearance on The Surreal Life really changed my mind about you. You loved everybody on that show, unconditionally, with the love of Christ. Jesus went among the sinners because, “Those who are well do not need a doctor.” God bless you, girl, and save me a place in the Heavenly Choir.

In His care,

Kathy

Dear Tammy: I think you looked absolutely beautiful last night. How brave and generous of you to still try to spread your love and faith to everyone. I remembered, as I watched the interview, that one time years ago, I flipped channels and saw you speaking—I stopped and listened—I was going through a hard time spiritually. You said that sometimes you thought of yourself as a” little, white kitten in God’s hands.” That visual has stuck with me for many years, and I now see you that way— beautiful, trusting, and completely in God’s hands. Bless you for your life’s work and best to you always. Debra

Dear Tammy,
You have always been an inspiration to me and now even more. Because of you, I learned to keep my faith even in the face of adversity. Because of you, I learned to respect and accept all people of religion, non-religion, race, and sexual orientation. Please get better. The world needs people like you.
Love, Dee

Tammy: You are so special. I went to PTL once and prayed desperately you would be there because sometimes of course you weren’t. I sooo needed you and your strength at that time. You came up singing “I Am Blessed” and then “God’s Not Through Using You.” How you helped me then! And I can tell you God definitely is not through using you!!! You were such a blessing last night on Larry King. I pray often for you! I pray also for Roe. It has to be so hurtful to him to see the one he loves suffer. But God has all the strength each of you need for these days. I’ll see you in Heaven some day!

Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family. How I love to see you on TV and read about you. I love to hear you sing. So many times when I have been down i think of you singing. I loved your show. I have a Susie doll that I am giving to my grandaughter so she will know the love that doll has given to me.

The Lord will always keep you in his mighty hands and yet will be so gentle to you.

God Bless you. Keep a song in your heart

Tammy,
I was in my early 20’s when I first heard you on TBN. You were my favorite singer. You inspired me so much in my walk with the Lord. You are a light to the world. I pray healing over you in the name of Jesus. I love you and I know that I will meet you some day, if not here, on that beautiful shore. Thankyou for always being that Proverbs 31 woman. You have inspired me to be all that God has called me to be.
I Love You

Tammy,
You are and have been so amazingly strong in your faith. I am so happy that God gives you strength to be such a beautiful witness of His Love for you and us all. I pray for you and your loved ones for what the future holds. I lost my mother in Aug ust 1996 and your children especially will never stop missing you when God takes you home. I attended Washington for Jesus back in 1980 (I think) and after being up all night, when you and Jim appeared at 10 am my energy was renewed by the excitment of your being there. I can’t remember any other speakers but I remeber you were there. Thank you for the love I’ve seen in your heart and your sweet spirit.
XOXO
