The producers of Lindsay Lohan’s next film are speaking out about the fate of “Poor Things.”
In a statement to “Extra,” producer Rob Hickman says he remains hopeful the film will not be completely shelved amid reported financial troubles and Lindsay’s imminent jail time.
“We continue to be enthusiastic in our belief of POOR THINGS, and our sole focus is moving this film into production,” reads the statement. “We expect to announce details on a start date in the very near future.”
“Poor Things,” which was to star Lindsay and Shirley MacLaine, has reportedly been plagued with problems since it began production.
Lindsay was supposed to begin shooting in May, but she entered rehab that month. At the time, the producers said they would work around Lindsay’s new schedule and outpatient program.
It now appears they will have to work around her impending court dates.

Linsey needs real help because what has happen in the past has not worked. She has no support from family or friends. But what she has done is break the law and should be punished accordingly. Paris went to jail for less than what Linsey has done and I don’t think it would be fair if Linsey doesn’t go to jail. It’s sad that this has gone on so long and not one person has helped her. Shame on her parents and friends. Please someone help her before its to late.
