Lindsay’s Low-Key Birthday

In an atmosphere strikingly different than her usual Hollywood hotspots, Lindsay Lohan celebrated her 21st birthday with friends and family on the beach in Malibu.

It was a far cry from the Las Vegas blowout that was reportedly sponsored by a Vodka company, and now friends and family are hoping the hard-partying starlet is turning her life around after rehab.

The low-key party was held at a small beachside home in Malibu late Monday afternoon, where guests munched on snacks and chatted with friends by the barbeque.

Lindsay’s mom Dina strolled through the sand with sister Ali, 13, and brother Dakota, 11.

One interesting house guest? Calum Best, Lindsay’s ex-boyfriend!

But Lindsay’s fun was mostly confined to inside the house.

A group of photographers camped out on the beach, snapping pictures of Lindsay in her itsy-bitsy bikini. TMZ.com says the photogs arrived in the afternoon – and stayed until the wee hours of the morning, when the party was over!

Lindsay is still in rehab following her scandalous DUI citation and car crash in Beverly Hills. She’ll complete an extended-care program at Promises in Malibu, where she checked in last month.

What do you think? Is Lindsay on the mend? Post your comments here!

NEXT: Robin Thicke's Real-Life Love Story

I think ” Playas Ball” is one of the best films I have seen in a long while!!!
The writers are brilliant and the actors espeically the lead actors Payne, trench and elise (not to mention MC (respect) and the comedy trio. I think it is a master piece in the ruff. More black film makers should take some notes. However, there are a few stero typical, mars trying to write venus’ story line, from the boogee perspective of the game, and this particular flavor Elise could not pull off, but she tried hard and all respect is due (another Brown Sugar theme.
I need to be able to tune into another blog on this movie subject. Tell me can a average jane like myself be allowed to tell how much I truly like ( with some positive constructive critisim)this film. Give me an email to express myself to. PLEASE
Thanx for the ear.
God Bless the writer, producers and the cast of this nice new film ” playas ball”
sincerely
Larah

It looks like Lindsey is really trying to turn around.Paris and Britney should take a lesson from her. There’s a chance for Britney but with the parents Paris has she doesn’t stand a chance.

If we want to be forgiven for the mistakes we make, then we must be as willing to forgive.

Life did not come with a manual ! it’s easy to critize these young girls but it’s much better to wish them well. She’s only human and somebody’s daughter.Give her the benefit of a doubt and hope she changes, how can we expect her and other young celebrities to change if we always expect the worse from them. I wish her well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDSAY!
