Has Kirstie Alley Lost Her Weight Battle?

Has Kirstie Alley gained back the weight she so famously lost on the Jenny Craig program?

Rumors are swirling that Kirstie lost her weight battle after the actress was spotted looking heavier in recent pictures.

It didn’t help that in her newest Jenny Craig commercial, she’s seen sitting down behind the wheel of a car.

But Jenny Craig herself is telling “Extra” those rumors are absolutely false!

“She’s still 75 pounds lighter than when she started the program,” Jenny said.

NEXT: Mel Gibson's Déjà Vu?

I was recently listening to local sports radio before a major golf tournement when several nationally well-known former sports stars were playing in a charity game. The broadcasters both noted that several of them who had made endorsements for well known diets were not looking as heavy as they ever had. So it’s not just the women.

Lets face it, the media sucks. There is a big hype to look so skinny you look like jack from nightmare before christmas. It’s disgusting to look so thin you look like you could wear a cheerio around you waist with room to spare. Kristi is beautiful, big or tiny.

All women have the right to love the way they look but with the craze of being skinny, we instead feel like crap and feel like a hermit in a cave unwilling to come out. There should be more media coverage, more magazine supporting women, big or small, showing us that we inspire, that we are spectacular inside and out and our weight should not be a factor to the brightness of our personalities!

Bruce is right. Have you ever kept track of those magazine on a weekly basis. One week there is a whole expose on “who’s fat in Hollywood”, the next week the headlines read,”actresses who are dangerously thin”. These rags actually think they control these celebraties lives by telling them when their too fat or thin. Worse yet, they make us regular folks feel like crap when they have their “sexest Hollywood” which tells us we can only look so good in our dreams. These magazines are truely a waste of paper.

Why are men not scrutinized this way?

Its devistating when you have been thin and attractive most of your life and one day you realize you aren’t turning heads anymore and you see a photo of yourself and just can’t believe how much wieght you’ve gained! I gained 100 lbs with my 4 pregnancies and I have a whole new appreciation for dieters! Its a battle physically and emotionally. I admire Kristie for taking her battle public. She is an inspiration to me and I belive many others. So what if she has a slight relapse and puts back on a few poundes. Although yo-yo dieting isn’t healthy, I’m sure Kristie will get things in check and get back on track. She is a beautiful woman inside and out give or take a few pounds.

Here’s what I don’t get: You people who yell about these ridiculous RAG magazines talking about weight and Lindsay and Paris and blah blah blah, continually go to the store and PURCHASE THEM, keeping these schmucks in business!!!!!

I know some of these “gossip” people. They’re all in it for the money. My fave here in LA, is Dorothy Lucey on the morning local 11 show. She’s all about “i’m a born again, Christian…pure, sweet, and following the path of JESUS CHRIST.” And then, she sits there, and rakes everyone from Lindsey to Brittney over the coals!!! She reports made up news!!! She even still has a thing for Bill Clinton!!! And all, while she’s just “following the teachings of JESUS CHRIST!!!” Yeah, right!

So, everybody, put your money where your mouth is: If you hate the messengers..don’t pay for them to survive!!!!!!!!

It’s just that simple!

I wish the media would stop criticizing women’s weight. Not everyone can be a size 0. When I was growning up, size 3 was the smallest size you ever heard about and the friend I had in high school who was a size 3 was hospitalized for anerexia.

So bottom line, all this media attention on weight is very destructive to women’s and young girl’s view of themselves.

And the other thing is…Why don’t they ever talk about how much weight a guy has put on? It’s always the women. That’s just not fair at all.

So I say…Give her a break! Even if she puts on some of the weight again, that was a great accomplishment in losing all the weight that she did.

Thank you.

Kirstie looks great with OR without the weight. Her personality, and lovely face, MORE than make up, for a few odd pounds…

She is still beautiful, 75lbs or not!
Many women would like to look as good as she does.
