Has Kirstie Alley Lost Her Weight Battle?

Has Kirstie Alley gained back the weight she so famously lost on the Jenny Craig program?

Rumors are swirling that Kirstie lost her weight battle after the actress was spotted looking heavier in recent pictures.

It didn’t help that in her newest Jenny Craig commercial, she’s seen sitting down behind the wheel of a car.

But Jenny Craig herself is telling “Extra” those rumors are absolutely false!

“She’s still 75 pounds lighter than when she started the program,” Jenny said.

The only thing that worked for me is old fashioned exercise and eating the right kinds of food. Boring answer. I know. I wish there was something else other than this; but the truth is, I’ve tried all of these diets and when nothing worked, I resorted to the old fashion way. I’ve lost 35 lbs in 10 months

I went on Jenny Craig and as soon as I lost the weight and got off the program, the weight came back immediately. I was told in order to keep the weight off, you have to stay on the food for life. Who can afford over $700 a month for food besides a celebrity, not many

hey guys, i never saw where the weight would stay off. if you lose something one way you probably have to keep on doing that to stay that way. but anyway ive been saying i want to lose for years and have done a little, most of us like to EAT so its not surprizing we gain some back. the claim is loss not that you wont gain it back.

Scientologists don’t believe in “disorders.” Velma, read a book on Scientology for goodness sake before spewing stupid comments about Scientologists and eating disorders!

I’m no diet expert, but I can tell you that these diets just don’t work because I’ve tried them all. But I know what worked for me.

At 170lbs., I went through a really messed up event where I couldn’t eat. I think I had 1 snickers bar a day after not eating for 3 days. And I only ate that to keep from passing out. I ate a little bit after a month, but my stomach shrunk so much, I was full.

I went down to 135lbs. in 4 months. I now regularly fast every year just to keep it up, although the subsequent fastings weren’t as easy as the one with the mental bashing going on. I guess that’s 6 of one thing, 1/2 a dozen of another, but it works.

I know the doctors will shoot me for posting this, but I didn’t die. In fact, my blood pressure and cholesterol went down to normal levels again. Go figure. So much for diets, just fast. If you don’t shrink that stomach, you’re always going to be hungry, for life.

Fasting just does something to your metabolism and propensity to eat. I learned that, the hard way but I’m a lot happier now.

From a woman who lost 110,40 yrs ago( Duke Clinic)Weight Watchers is the only senseable way to attack a weight problem. I am a small statistic, but I work at it every day.

On Oprah, Kirstie said she LOST WEIGHT. She did not say she was THIN! Sure, she was not skinny, she was still heavy, but she had the fortitude to make good on a promise she made to Oprah and come out in a bathing suit. Yeah, she wore a “spanks” under the suit, but even so— would YOU show up in a swimsuit in front of 50 million people including photogs and gossip mongers whose salary depends on your misfortunes and they want you to fail- the more miserably the better!??

Not THIS country girl! (I would have added a fog machine to MY Oprah-appearance!)

I don’t generally criticize people in or out of the public eye for gaining/losing weight. However, if someone is doing national commercials for a diet program saying how it worked for her and how she lost such and such an amt of weight when she has actually gained it back… it’s just not honest advertising.

The only problem I have with Kirstie Alley is that there is no way she could have weighed what she claimed before she “lost” weight. She had a body suit on under the swimsuit when she was on Oprah and she admitted that she did on the show. I was so disappointed when she walked out in that garb and that silly flowing robe thing. That was all designed to make her look at least 20 pounds thinner than she actually was and it didn’t work…she still looked heavy. Now, in her latest commercial, in that awful black dress, she still looks enormous. I like Kirstie, but I just want her to be honest about her weight, and she is not being honest. What a shame.

I don’t think Jenny Craig is that great. The food looks awful. And what it costs is rediculous. Better off with your own way of losing weight. I can’t see paying for it. Although Weight Watchers is the best and you can eat what you want.

I suggest that each of us list our height and weight as we criticize those who are in the public eye. It’s easy to do so while sitting at a desk, eating a slice of pizza….lolol

Bravo to those who can stick with a diet AND keep the weight off afterward!

I think Jenny Craig is a now a big fake I dont believe any of those stars could eat the food I have just tried it and it tastes digusting so I think it is false advertising and not lie to people who cant afford it

Since I don’t think that Kirstie has been honest from the beginning with how much she weighed, I wouldn’t put it past her to do lap-band or gastric bypass in order to maintain a svelte figure. How else could she keep her contract with Jenny Craig and eat everything she wants? I think the next time that we see her “thin”, we should demand to see her complete stomach to make sure that there aren’t any scars there. I still say “keep it real”. I am sick of the celebs that do cosmetic surgery (lipo, bypass, boob jobs, etc.) that lie about not having things done - - i.e. Star, etc. I’m sick of Photoshop helping them out too. You watch- we will probably see her reappear in a while thin but not because of Jenny. Shame on you Jenny Craig for not being honest. Shame on you Kirstie for not being honest. Your “not typical results” are code words for “actress has lapband”.

I don’t know how beautiful Kirstie is on the “inside” as others have commented, as I have never met her. I do, however, applaud her for having the courage to laugh at herself while the commedians, news media, and others critiqued her weight gain. She was honest and funny. I very easily related to her. She looked ok overweight and looked better with weight loss. If she gained a few pounds back — big deal. Who hasn’t gained weight back from a Jenny Craig diet — or any other diet for that matter. I’m glad she made some money during her ordeal of the gain/lose/gain — wish I could say the same!

If you go to Jennycraig.com, you will see a brand new VIDEO blog with Kirstie saying how she’s enjoying her summer. She looks FIT and FABULOUS.

Just seeing the photo of her on the National Enquier was enough to know that it’s most likely a lie. I am sure she has gained a few pounds back. Losing weight and keeping it off is very hard work. I lost 70 pounds doing Body for Life 5 yrs ago and sadly I have regained it back over time. But I know what it takes and what I have to do to get there and I will once again.Kristie you still are beautiful!

Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she is a human being, facing the same crap as everybody else. Give her credit for having the BALLS to do her weight thing in public, and to be so open and honest. She was trying to get others to do something good for themselves. I think she is BEAUTIFUL, in any way SHAPE or FORM!!!!!
