But alas you are still touring and singing and yes I am buying your CD,s and watched your Christmas show, and not Ruben Stoddards..I don’t care if you are straight or gay or neither. Well…this is only my opinion..the girl should call the stewardess and tell them about the problem.. then the stewardess will be the one to handle this problem..in this way no one will get hurt. Don’t u think so? I think this is the best way.

I’m a huge fan of Clay’s and it seems no matter what the poor “guy” does, it makes headline news everywhere. The media and the public always seem to hone in on Clay being at fault. Give the man a break!! He’s a great singer, a very sexy man and because he chooses not! to discuss his sexuality (which, really, is a private matter and why?? does it matter to so many people) he’s criticized and condemned. Homophobia…alive and thriving.
Reminds me of a CNN anchor/reporter whose sexuality is always being questioned or rumoured about. Someone has to start these rumours or has a hate-on for the person…same with Clay. Whether gay or not, what the heck difference does it make??

I think we need to hear Clay’s side of this.

It’s a dirty shame that most of the media isn’t reporting the fact that Clay was SLEEPING when he was attacked by this looney woman. I’m glad he finally spoke - out at least to ET. This is such a non-story and it is a shame that Clay’s “feet” are news (lovely and large as they are), but his charitable efforts for Unicef and his Bubel-Aiken Foundation are not. He’s such a great guy. The press is just out for blood and, of course, the real story isn’t really newsworthy at all, is it!

A statement by Clay Aiken to Entertainment Tonight about the incident:

“While sleeping on a plane over the weekend, my foot evidently found a home on the arm rest of the passenger seated directly in front of me. I didn’t realize I was causing the woman any distress until she woke me up with a quick hit to the chest. Unfortunately, being that this happened on a plane, the FBI was called in to investigate and eventually we were all sent on our way.

“I’d like to thank everyone for their concern; I am fine and have taken steps to prevent any foot wandering in the future.
