BREAKING NEWS: Drew Carey to Take Over for Bob Barker on 'The Price is Right'

Drew Carey has just been named to replace Bob Barker as the new host of “The Price is Right!”

Carey confirmed the deal during a taping of the “Late Show” with David Letterman today.

The comic, 49, beat out such contenders as Rosie O’Donnell, George Hamilton and John O’Hurley.

Now Carey, best known as co-host of “Whose Line Is It Anyway” and star of “The Drew Carey Show,” has some big shoes to fill.

Barker retired last month at the age of 83, after 35 years on the job and more than 6,000 episodes!

You tell us: what do you think of Drew Carey as the new host?

Yes he is a funny guy, but not the one for The Price is Right. Come on, I know that all you fans that are reading this, all feel that way deep down inside. Bob I miss you already, we all do!

Could not have picked a nicer guy. Way to go Drew. He is perfect for the job.
This without a doubt will be a very funny show and will carry on as a big hit.

I DO NOT think Drew Carey is right for the show. I was contemplating ever watching the show again since Barker left. Now it’s official… I won’t EVER be watching it.

I would have rather seen Donny Osmond on the show because he’s classier. However,I think it’s wonderful Rosie egging did not work and she was thrown aside!

Congratulations to Drew Carey, he will be great.
As for the “religious” person who spreads hatred…and judges, throwing stones at Rosie, please, say your prayers, and rest your prejudice.

much, much, much better than rosie.

H O O R A Y !!!

The price is right is a family show, and it’s a wholesome show. Rosie does not represent wholesome values in my opinion as a religious person I would have been tempted to stop watching it if she got the nod.
