Rosie Turns Down 'Price;' 'View'-ers Turn Down Show

Rosie O’Donnell has passed on an offer to host “The Price is Right.”

After meeting with CBS executives and weighing a substantial offer on Thursday, she decided that she just couldn’t move to Los Angeles from New York, where the show is shot.

That was the deal breaker for Rosie, and apparently, no amount of money could change that!

Moving across the country would just be too much for Rosie, 45, and her four young kids with wife Kelli, 40.

“So to get my entire family uprooted from their lives and move them across the country so that I can have a fantasy childhood indulgence job just doesn't seem fair,” Rosie said on her video blog.

Meanwhile, the co-hosts she left behind on “The View” are seeing a huge decline in their popularity.

The ABC show has lost over 400,000 viewers since Rosie left.

Fox News pulled figures from the Nielsen ratings system and determined that the show “sank like a stone” during the first two weeks of June, right after Rosie packed her bags.

Umm, this article is incorrect. Rosie was never a candidate to replace Bob Barker, and The View has GAINED viewers agaist Price is Right, not lost them. TO whoever wrote this article, get your facts straight.

Umm, this article is incorrect. Rosie was NEVER in the running to host Price is Right. That’d have been the death of the show. The View is UP in ratings against Price is RIght, so I don’t know where this author gets his/her info, but the source is incorrect.

Im surprised that the price would even offer her the job, sure initially rating would be good but soon eveyone would be sick of her face.

Rosie brought ONE MILLION new viewers to daytime television. That is a FACT and it is indisputable. Like her or not, she has a prescence and a lot of fans…CLEARLY!

The View is exactly what is was before rosie joined, A BORING GROUP OF CLUCKING WOMAN.

So for all of you haters, go squat on a twinkie

I love Roise!! I must admit that even I stopped watching The View since Rosie left. Hm. Maybe thats why ABC lost over 400,000 viewers. Either way, Elizabeth may of been in her 30’s or whatever the number may be but in my opinion, Elizabeth is a child.

If Rosie were hosting the game show and anyone disagreed with her she would turn into the incredible hulk and throw the poor contestant off the stage……lol. You can’t disagree with her fat butt ever or she’ll get into a rage.

Rosie on the Price Is Right? As Amy Winehouse would say…”No NO No!” She’s a loud mouth and obnoxious! She just talks way to much and doesnt know when to shut it! I mean why so much negativity surrounding one (big) person ALL THE TIME?! I wish she’d just shut up and stay at home with her wifey and adopted kids. (Which I think she’s setting a very poor example for.) She’s been so very less than gracious about EVERYTHING, Donald, Elizabeth! She might as well be in the ghetto screaming at her neighbor out of the kitchen window! Thats about how much class I think she has.

Why does Rosie even have a show? Is TV that desperate for rating that you have to bring someone in that insults and personifies communism? I mean really? I am from the 325th Brigade and our platoon hates her. She does not represent a true American. And we think it’s a shame and a waste of time sacrificing everything we have to defend this country for people like her. When ever anything she’s on comes on TV over here… someone usually changes it or we get pissed off. It’s a d. shame that we have things like her around.

Face it. It wasn’t just Rosie. Barbara had the perfect foursome with Starr. It was never the same after she left and got even worse with Rosie. Some people just like to watch trash and that’s what Barbara gave them. Some people are intelligent and others are just off the streets in their thinking. Makes me wonder if it’s all catching up to Miss Walters. She needs to stop straddling the fence. The View used to have class.

I am personally glad that Rosie turned down the offer to do the Price is Right. Personally I think that Wayne Brady Should do it because he is a likable person, and he is still young enough to do the show for a while. I think that he would be the perfect person.

The View’s ratings only went up bc people wanted to see what kind of harassing words she’d say on the episodes. That’s pretty low for TV to stoop down and get rating s bc of these reasons. What kind of example are we showing our children? For instance, I won’t have any of my children listen or watch anything with Brittany Spears or Christina Aguillera, bc they’re poor role models. Well, Rosie doesn’t fall from the bad tree either. I’d hate to think how or what she speaks to her children. By the way… I agree that she should not be talking about women power and rights if she can live by them. I have no problem with adoption. But she doesn’t even want to go through what every woman has or will. It would be different if she had a med. situation. But, she doesn’t. So, for that… she is def a hypocrit. Practice what you preach and be a real WOMAN, Rosie!!!

My gosh that person is gross!!! She’s (and I use that pronoun loosely) the biggest poster child for birth control that I’ve ever seen. Horrible person. I’m glad she’s not going to be associated with TPIR. Would kill that show.

anonymous, you need to shut your trap. Being intelligent has to do with interpreting things CORRECTLY. If you want to make Rosie’s comment about hating our troops and thinking they are terrorists, then go ahead you loon. but that wasn’t what she was saying. Ratings went down because Rosie brought a lot of democratic viewers who don’t want to hear elisabeth shoot off her republican mouth all day long. I won’t watch it anymore, I don’t need to listen to only republican opinion.

I think it’s funny that some people here have spoke about Rosie “rubbing her gay rights platform in everyones faces”. I’m sick of Elisabeth rubbing her “republican Bush loving platform” in everyones faces. People who think her comments were ‘disrespectful’ to our troops obviously aren’t very intelligent. She doesn’t want the war, she respects the troops and what they are doing for us. Her point was to look from the view of all of the innocent iraqi and afgani citizens, and who THEY would think the terrorists are. You think it’s fair for us to go over there and kill innocent children? Yeah, thats about as fair as them coming here and bombing innocent children.
GET IT?
