Kelly Clarkson Fires Longtime Manager

Only weeks after Kelly Clarkson told People that her record label RCA wanted to “Lindsay-ize” the singer, the pop princess has unexpectedly dumped her long-time manager, Jeff Kwatinetz.

Rumors have circulated that the firing was a result of how Kwatinetz handled the recent feud between Clarkson and RCA chief Clive Davis over her new album, “My December.”

Clarkson’s manager "exacerbated a thermonuclear situation," a source close to the situation told Entertainment Weekly.

Kwatinetz is showing no hard feelings, and his company says, "We believed in Kelly from the day we met her and believe in her now. We have only the best wishes and hopes for her in the future."

Way to go Kelly! You’re young, but you seem to know the way things work in this industry. I think you are a wonderful example for young women. You, Leeanne Rimes, Mandy Moore, we need you young women to be examples. You are doing a GREAT job!

Good for her! She is the only young talent out there today with her nose to the grind stone, working hard, and wanting to keep her OWN identity while refusing to allow these record exec nuts who want to try and turn her into the next loser pop tart starlet. We have all seen how well it has worked for these young singers when they are forced to conform to the rediculous images these exec’s wanted and they sold their true selves out. Enough already!

You go Kelly. Lord knows the youth of today need a REAL role model. If we never see Paris, Lindsey, Nicole, or Britney again it would be a good start.
