Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Her Relationship with Rosie: 'I Don't Know if We are Friends'

Just one day after Rosie O'Donnell said her "View" co-stars would "stab you in the back with a high-heel," Elisabeth Hasselbeck is revealing that she is unsure if she is still friends with her former co-host.

"Truthfully, I think a friend is someone who you have positive communications with, so I don't know if I would define us as friends right now," Elisabeth said in a recent interview. "I did define us as friends, but I'm not going to make the leap to assume that we will or will not be friends in the future."

This is a major turnaround for Hasselbeck, who told "Extra" right after their blowout that she and Rosie would continue to be friends.

At the time, she seemed resolute in her decision to maintain communication with the outspoken Rosie, but now she is changing her tune.

Rosie has opened up about the feud in her blog and in her recent comedy appearances.

"I never tried harder to be friends with someone...I don't think we ended up there," Rosie wrote in her blog.

Meanwhile, Elisabeth insisted that Rosie's posts shocked her.

"She sent me two e-mails right after that and I sent her one back," Elisabeth revealed. "It was a really great e-mail, so hearing these things after really surprises me."

I think Elisabrth needs to go. The show was better before her she has really gotten very mouthy lately and agrugementive. I understand how she got Roise fired up!! Also she has a way making the other ladies mad.Joy does not need to go she has been on since day one. Is Elisabeth sucking up to the Boss? She is not all of that! Go to FOX.

Dump Elisabeth now! She deminishes the intelligence of the other cast members. She wore a Mccaine tee shirt during one of the entire shows and should be made to wear an Oboma shirt for a complete show, due to the equal time thing with tv. Then dump her.

I am gay and don’t agree with the show she did that made it sound like she had spent an overnight lesbian orgy sleepng over with her friends.

If she isn’t removed, I may have to start a movement to stop the viewing of the show with my many friends in the hospitals of Fl. She is at the point that it makes it difficult to watch the show which I have enjoyed.

Cudos to Whoppi. Barbara, Joy, and Sheri.

Please don’t make us stop watching the show!

I used to like watching Rosie before when she had her own show at the beginning. She was upbeat positive and seemed to care alot about people like me, an average ordinary person. Now she is insensitive, rude and judgemental.She gets angry when people don’t think as she does. Everyone else is stupid, but Rosie? Rosie does not
have the interests of the average person in her heart anymore. She is too busy being self-important. I think she would be good on Price is Right for a while but then when the producers ask her to not be such a shock jock she will try a way to get out of that job, too.

Elisabeth stood up to Rosie.That is something Barbara Walters should have done.People were watching The View to see how many hateful and negative remarks Barbara would allow from Rosie.People will listen when spoken to respectfully and intelligently.

First of all, the view was no longer “The View” after Meredith Viera and Star Jones left the show. I stopped watching after they left. But I was surprised to know that they would even put Rosie O’Donnell on the show. I did not care for Elisabeth that much but, was very proud because someone needed to stand-up to Rosie O’Donnell. I love Joy Behar. That show will never be the same. It seems like everytime Rosie O’Donnell opens her mouth it’s something - negative. And yes, she is setting a bad example for her kids. There is a time and a place for everything. You should not say everything that comes to mind. The situation w/ Star Jones made me realize that Barbara Walters was a liar. that just showed me that Barbara Walter

Lets see, how many viewers can Elisabeth bring to the View! Oh thats right, they needed Rosie to bring up the ratings! If Barb was smart she’d dump Elisabeth before she chases away another great host. Rosie didn’t want to upset poor little pregnant Elisabeth, while Elisabeth didn’t think twice about throwing Trump in Rosies face. All Rosie wanted was for Elisabeth to say whether she believed Rosie would dis our servicemen. Anyone who ever watched the show knows Rosie fully supported our boys and young women. But Elisabeth was too scared too immature to say she knew Rosie didn’t dis our servicemen. She was afraid to upset President Bush and then maybe she wouldn’t be invited back to the Whitehouse. Rosies has how many awards? How many does Elisabeth have? I don’t think she’ll be on tv much longer, Bush’s term will be over soon. Barbara must be getting tired of her by now! I’m not gay or lesbian just a fan of good entertainment, thats why I no longer watch the View.

Rosie is a loud mouth uneducation person she wants everyone to agree with her and when you don’t then you are not her friend which who would want to be her friend she is a rich unhappy person and only finds negative in others and wants others to feel as miserable as she does. And elizabeth should not have to defend rosie when she did say the troops are terrorits there are no if ands or buts about it she said it and I am glad she is gone

As far as the ratings, Barbara Walters lied! She used the numbers PRE-ROSIE!

The ratings, are in fact 10% lower than they were prior to Rosie joining “The View,” in which she brought 1.5 million new viewers to daytime television. A fact, that is, indisputable.

So, for all of you Elisabarbie lovers,
WTF has she ever done? So she was “The Survivor Star,” and her husband plays football, oooohhhh yah, lets nominate her for LADY of the year.

Elisabeth is my favorite gal on the view. She is a role model for girls everywhere. I wish she was my sister,daughter,friend,cousin etc., if Rosie was a relative, I would be ashamed to admit it. Elisabeth is a wonderful mother to her little girl. I would venture a guess, she was an “A student”. She is honest,sincere and never, ever “boring and narrow minded” like Rosie! Mary
