America Rates Paris' Performance; Larry Wanted 'More Introspection'

She ruled the airwaves Wednesday night on “Larry King Live,” but are Americans turning their backs on Paris Hilton?

In an explosive showdown with her fellow anchors on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” newscaster Mika Brzezinski refused to read the lead story on Paris during the show.

“I’m not doing it,” she yelled, attempting to light the script on fire.

A fellow reporter tried to pry the script away, but before he could, Mika ripped the script to shreds!

Mika might not have watched Paris’ interview with Larry – but millions of other viewers did.

Many listened intently as Paris described her strip search as “the most humiliating thing” and adamantly denied doing drugs.

The hour-long sit-down was supposed to change Paris’ image for the better – but did it?

Her overworked PR train hit a major snag when Larry asked her about reports she read the Bible in jail.

“Yes, I did,” she replied.

“What’s your favorite Bible passage?” asked Larry to a startled and silent Paris.

“Um,” she muttered, before saying she doesn’t have a favorite.

It looks like the only thing Paris might have changed were her blue contact lenses!

Now, only “Extra” has Larry King one on one, grading Paris’ performance.

“I would say she doesn’t read the Bible a lot,” Larry quipped.

As for her performance during the night, which was widely critiqued to be the deal-breaker in her image, Larry said, “I would give her a C-plus…no, a B-minus.”

“I would have liked a little more introspection,” Larry confessed.

When “Extra” caught up with Howard Stern’s sidekick Robin Quivers today, she told us Paris flopped.

“I would give her a D, especially when she couldn’t quote the Bible,” Robin said.

Now, “Extra” uncovers everything you don't know about Paris’ big interview.

Instead of going live, the interview was pre-taped in the afternoon – to throw off the paparazzi!

And was her performance rehearsed beforehand?

“I’m sure they coached her,” King said.

Larry said there is one question he wishes he’d asked.

“I might have asked about the dispute over money between NBC and ABC,” he admitted.

So where is the freed jailbird today? TMZ.com says she caught an early morning flight to Maui.

What impact did jail have on her? Her freedom suspended for a short time? Did lawyer fees affect her family, did she miss work and possibly get fired when they knew she was in jail? These would be problems that most of us would have faced. She will make a million or two off of this.

Maybe if she was more genuinely sincere about changing her ways for the better, I could’ve understood her attitude more, but she left her sincerity at home or something like that.
She expects to be treated like royalty at all times, hence her still inexcusable(to me) crybaby ways when she had to go back to jail. Whatever.
paris hilton needs real therapy, not pathetic coddling by her snooty parents who surround her with money—-and little else!—-and that’s really sad that they ‘support’ her like that.

My daughter is 25 yrs old and an attorney and my best friend. I cannot believe Paris Hilton is almost the same age as my daughter and acts so deranged and imbalanced. She has no morales, ethics or stability. It is so sad to see the young generation grow up with such attitudes. If she were my daughter, she would not have started out with such a bizarre social life or friends. Is she something to be proud of? I don’t get all the hype. Money doesn’t buy happiness or your health.

I got into a major debate with a good friend, who shocked me, by her sympathy for Paris. She felt given the privledged life she has led that she is naive and uninformed as to consequences of her actions. I feel her privledge has given her an attitude of I shouldn’t be punished. Everyone should realize that the only consquences that Paris cares about is her lifestyle being restricted. I find no life altering in her attitude, just rehearsed p.r. to clean up her image for comercial reasons. Regardless, there’s always someone who’ll make her richer for her story.

The only thing she did right was to admit she was(and still is, but didn’t admit that part)immature, so I guess that means she’ll continue her immature and predictable heiress behavior.
Frankly, she’s still not that interesting to me at all.
All of this paris hilton overhype has given me a mental hernia. No joke.
