Rosie: Why I Quit 'The View'

Life without Rosie O’Donnell began on “The View” Tuesday morning as the ladies said their public goodbyes to their former co-host.

It was the first show without Rosie since the explosive spat with Elisabeth Hasselbeck that led to Rosie calling Elisabeth “a coward.”

In Rosie’s place was guest host Whoopi Goldberg, and the women wasted no time getting right to the heart of the matter.

Barbara Walters looked at the camera and stated, “We are very close friends. Rosie, if you’re watching, nothing will change that.”

While “The View” went on, Rosie spent the weekend boating with her family.

And now “Extra” can reveal the exact reason Rosie said goodbye.

Rosie wrote on her web blog, “When I saw the split screen, that’s when I knew it was over.”

It was the moment that spelled the end for Rosie, when “The View” showed the two pointing fingers and yelling, side-by-side.

Rosie went on to reveal on her blog that she felt like “a foster kid for a year.” She wrote, “I came and we considered adoption but I didn’t really fit into the family.”

Also, believe it or not, Rosie said she sent a note to Elisabeth!

On the show Tuesday morning, Elisabeth said, “I think this weekend gave us the opportunity to tackle our most important hot topic yet, and that was the power of forgiveness.”

Forgive and forget is one thing arch-nemesis Donald Trump just can’t seem to do.

Donald gave “Extra” his own piece of mind on Rosie’s exit, explaining, “The reason she quit was that she couldn’t take the heat.”

He’s even taking full credit for her decision!

“I was the one that started Rosie's downfall, and I'm very proud of that because I exposed Rosie for what she is,” Trump told us. “She's a very self-destructive person, not a very bright person, and ultimately she's a loser.”

So what’s next for the embattled comedian?

Rosie said she may spend some time on tour with Cyndi Lauper.

As for “The View,” Barbara Walters wants everyone to know Rosie is missed.

“She’s welcome back anytime she wants,” Barbara said on the show.

Well as far as a replacement I think Katie Couric would fit in. She would be up to date with the reasons why we are at war. Look up Peak Oil. We all need to work together to make this a better place. Other ways to survive, similiar to being a self-efficient. Also this changes the subject, and it is good to talk about. Think about the future. When things get expensive maybe America will lose weight, they need to get out of debt. Did you know Subject: Water vs Wine

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated
that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would
have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria found
in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of Poop.

However, we do not run that risk when drinking wine (or rum, whiskey, beer,
or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a
purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember:

Water = Poop
Wine = Health

Therefore, it’s better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water
and be full of shit.

There’s no need to thank me for this valuable information; I’m doing it as
a public service.

It really makes you think???!!!

Rosie should be blackballed off TV. Her gosh awful tactics of trying to exploit her “View” to everyone and not allowing others to disagree has made many View’er’s turn off.

I suspect that not only is she sitting on her blog posting stuff, but, is also visiting all the online sites and posting under a false name to these!

I don’t agree with GW at all. But, for Rosie to blatantly give the terrorist a worldwide presentation of anything against American’s who are in harm’s way….is absolutely antiAmericanism at it’s fullest!

This so called woman has no right to express these things on a worldwide Viewed forum for terrorists to use against us in threats!

Ban her from TV we don’t need her or care to see her.

By the way who cares what others think about us in the rest of the world. If it werent for us those countries you all so desperately want to like us would not stand on there own 2 feet. If we took all the money and resources away from them . They would be nothing. Why do you think they keep coming across our borders? If you don’t like it here leave, and go to the countries where you want people to like us and fix it. I doubt you will do so. Because you have it to good here.

This has nothing to do with right or left . This has to do with Wrong and Right. Rosie is a bully and Elizabeth finally said something about it. As for Rosie saying she didn’t like the split screen. How old is she? That is not the first time that have had that, and it wont be their last. She finally got caught red handed. Now she wants to cry about it, and say she was wronged. BS. is what that is. We finally see that she doesn’t know what she is talking about. Calling terriost mother and father. Yeah mother and father who kill our soliders. I have no time for people like that. She doesn’t believe there are bad people in this world. Unless they happen to be in this country. What a joke she is. Thank God she is off our tv’s .

Hey Donald,(see comments of 5/30 at 5:26a.m.) why do you keep calling Rosie names. Sounds like you are jealous. A real man would not have to say such things. You are obviously not manly enough to take on anyone. And if you think we all believe you are the dump truck, listen up, Rosie quit, you were fired.

To hear EH tell it, she and Rosie were in communication all weekend but that is not true. Rosie and EH had one email exchange and Rosie says she will probably never speak to her again. Shame on EH for trying to make it sound like she did nothing wrong. Manipulating the audience is shameful. EH, time to resign.

Just look at the picture of Rosie…

That is one big fat ugly disgusting pig… Yuck

That fat pig quit the view because she could never support her outrageous statements. She called our troops terrorists and then does what she does best - run and hide.

Fat, ugly, dumb and a rotten personality to boot. She sure hit the super-fecta of being a waste of flesh (to be exact, A LOT of flesh)!!!

Now the world is seeing this witch for what she is, a dumb fat ugly pig who has no clue.

Folks, she’s no genius, she’s an obnoxious high school graduate with a big mouth.

Good riddance you big fat slob!!!

My comment is this: How many people really care what Donald Trump think’s about Rosie? I know I don’t care what he thinks. He uses Rosie to get air time. He is not an entertainer he has no tallent, and as for his comment about Elizabeth about being the dumbest person on T.V., this woman has gone to college and has gotten her job on the View on her own, she didn’t get her “DADDY” to get her the job. For someone who doesn’t like Rosie he’s always talking about her. I personally don’t care what he has to say.

The right wing will rail against Rosie and anyone else who is against the administration’s disgusting war against innocents. Sure as hell they ain’t getting rid of the enemies. They would be too smart to get got, and are probably planning for another attack here, while our soldier’s are being killed, maimed, and harming (by orders), innocent people in the mideast, where we must have a stronghold because of something, and it’s only partially oil. Haven’t quite figured it all out yet, but if the administration is this cocky over staying there, must be lots more to it than we know, or it could be to make sure Israel doesn’t get hit by nukes…Anything’s possible…
ROSIE, KEEP ON RAILING AGAINST THE WAR MONGERS, AND THE REAL STAUNCH RIGHT WHO ARE KILLING OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS, AND WHO PRETEND TO SAY THEY SUPPORT THE TROOPS. THEY SUPPORT NO ONE. C’MON MR. PRES. TAKE YOUR FAMILY AND KIDS AND GET IN THE FRONT LINES…Even though Cindy Sheehan was blasted on talk radio all day, I wish her peace…She tried so hard. Her son was killed protecting non-military people, like from Haliburton…Oh Ye American People, get going and STAND UP FOR HAVING THE TROOPS COME HOME….ROSIE, I’LL MISS YOU AND WOULD LIKE TO ACCEPT THE POSITION YOU VACATED, BUT, I DON’T SUPPOSE THEY’D LET ME…LOL…

When Miss USA Rachel Smith was booed in the final round of the Miss Universe 2007 Pageant on May 28th, it brought home that our reputation in world is at an all time low. Rosie does have her finger on the pulse of the majority of American women and her “on air” courage will be missed.

90% of the anti Rosie posts are made
by one little man being paid by the right wing to
make it look like a groundswell.

It’s a trick Microsoft used to pull a decade ago and
the right wing picked it up.

I really feel sorry for him.

You must have a pretty small weiner to make
that your life’s work.

The View was so lame today. You can tell Rosie made it energetic. Whoopi did not even look thrilled to be there. As for EH…what a liar..she did not have any conversations with Rosie. She only showed up to work because FOX is the only network that will hire her if she leaves the View. You can tell she was uncomfortable when she came out. As she should be. Did you see Joy say we will come back to Iraq and Bush and the look she gave EH. HA!

Rosie was such a polarizing view host. Her frankness regarding her personal views on politics, religion, families, celebrities, etc. over the past 8 months was so refreshing and real. She never held back. She didn’t try to be politically correct. I truly believe that Rosie and Joy were a strong force in the mid-term Democratic election victories across the country. Their candid views about the state of affairs of our government led many women to vote accordingly. The remaining hosts have much to offer to the show. We look forward to the hiring of additional polarizing women. The View will continue to draw viewers if you don’t make the mistake of hiring a “politically correct” host. Let the next host say what so many of us are already thinking. All the best!

I am glad Rosie is gone.I use to enjoy her talk show. She was funny, and had some views, but was not as political. She came on the view and she was total different.I found that she was always putting everyone, and thing down.It was as if the cohost didn’t agree with her well she got all mad.Maybe she should live in a country where she can not speak her mind,or have the freedom to be a woman,or a human period, before she calls our soldiers terriousts. They fight for us to have these freedoms, but not in vain, but to insure we have freedome.War is ugly yes,but what is thr wright answer.

Rosie is the coward. If she truly stood by what she says she wouldn’t need someone else to “stand by” her. At least Elisabeth had the courage and integrity to show up at work the next day! Both ladies are at the far end of the spectrum when it came to their beliefs and as an American they have that right to believe what they want to believe. Also, many of the tasteless comments Rosie made she said where for humor, but today when some guest comedians on the show tried to make some comedic comments about Rosie they were quickly stopped by Joy … um…. isn’t she also the one who always talks about freedom of speech. It appears that Rosie and Joy believe in freedom of speech as long as the speech is what they believe.

I’m quite sure that the view will see a huge drop in ratings. Rosie was the voice of truth, and even gave Joy more courage to speak the truth right along with her. Elizabeth is a dumb blonde trophy wife who has a list of talking points injected to her directly from the fools running the white house. Good luck ladies on the view, you have no idea what you’ve lost. I came to your show with Rosie, and I’m now leaving, along with many others, I’m sure.

Peace Out
