Paris Will Serve at Least 23 Days

Despite rumors that Paris Hilton would be set free after just hours behind bars, it has been confirmed that the pampered heiress will complete a hefty portion of her sentence.

The L.A. Sheriff’s Department announced today that Hilton will spend at least 23 days behind bars for violating the terms of her probation.

The final decision was made by jailers today after her case file was reviewed.

She will also be separated from the general inmate population, even though she’ll live in a “special needs housing unit” reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates. The unit has 12, two-person cells.

Paris has vowed to appeal the sentence, but the clock is ticking -- her jailtime begins June 5!

Get ready to bend over Paris because jail is not a day at the spa. They will take every chance they get to humiliate you.

Wow- First let me say that Paris is a lost lamb of Hollywood- She has the potential to be a great leader, and she just makes a mockery of our lives with her shows and comments- I think she deserves 45 days but 23 will do and I do not think special treatment is needed- I would go to jail, and I am not a tough chick or hard and I would prb get my ass handed to me- What if she would have killed someone?? Would we give her 45 days then- I think everybody should not complain but America it is time to stand up- Does it not say the law is the same for everybody- She could better serve working -seriously- with Angie and brad and rebuild homes in Orleans and maybe she would appreciate what she has and choose to work on the side of good not evil and caring bibles will not save her from jail- But she does need our prayers!! Please change-My little girl looks up to celebrities like you, you are an American Icon- Be more, Be aware the world needs people to change it, and you great leader of youth

I do believe she needs to go to jail & serve time as any non-celeb should but for her safety I say put her with safe non-celeb trustees instead of where the “special” people get to go. They’re no better than me other than their wallet is more full than mine. She should have to be watched on camera when she has to use the toilet like any other person in jail. Heiress or not, she broke the law & she should get no special treatment than anyone else. It’s discimination if she’s treated any different than any other law breaker if you ask me & discrimination is a VERY fair claim in a lawsuit. So, keep her out of general population for her own protection but treat her the same as any other criminal. CAMERAS on at all times!

I THINK SHE SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE “US” FOR WHAT SHE DID — BUT I DO BELIEVE IN PROTECTION FOR HER. BUT IF SHE’S IN A “SAFE” ENVIRONMENT (CELEB, POLICE, ETC.) — THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH — IF IT WAS ME — THEY’D THROW ME IN AND LOSE THE KEY

Now, I am trying to look at this from my perspective, the court, and Paris’s. I strongly do NOT agree with the idea of celebrities getting “special treatment” when committing crimes, I think they should be sentenced the way every other crimminal is.

Now that said, I do have to say I understand where the court is coming from. Just imagine being a multi-million dollered hairess who everyone has heard of as being a spoiled little party-girl, and you are about to be put into the county jail. I would be terrified for my physical safety. (Paris might go in but may never come out.) You always hear about fights in jails, honestly her safety is an issue because she is a celebrity. (In other words, people want to beat her up because she has money and fame.)

I think what she has done is wrong and she does deserve to be punished…but lets not leave her physical safety out in the process.

You know what gets me is that she is crying and complaining and everyone, (around her circle) is saying poor Paris, but what if she was driving drunk and hit an God forbid killed or serious injuried someone like the little man or someone (around her circle) then what would they be saying. Whom ever reduced her sentenced should think about that, if one of there family members where killed or serious injured and would have to live with something that happened to them the rest of there lives, because of someone driving after they had been drinking, then it would be on them, if they would even care. I just don’t understand what they are thinking. It is not right for anyone to drive after they been drinking, I don’t care if your some joe blow or the President, and to me Paris isn’t any better than anyone I know. She puts her pants on one leg at a time, just like everyone else.

I think that Paris Hilton should have to do community service. I think all of these pampered brats should have to help people who have lost everything in a natural disaster such as, hurricanes, flooding, tornados, or fires. Maybe if they see how modest most peoples’ lives are, even before losing everything they own, (things that they have worked for) then people like Paris Hilton can appreciate how well off they are. I don’t only want to pick on Paris, there are alot of people who take their money for granted, they can do so much with their status that it makes me mad to even know her name because she is not famous for any reason that she should be proud of.

Unbelievable. I guess being a rich and famous brat equates to being above the law. Why are people saying she should get more fines and probation?? She’s in this mess for thumbing her nose at the law and not following her probation to being with. Why wasn’t she sent directly to jail after this last stunt instead of getting to walk free for another month to try and whine her baby ass out of it?
It must be nice to get the specialty suite in jail. I’m sure she will get all kinds of special treatment as well. It’s absolutely disgusting. If I were to tell her this to her face and slap her to knock some sense into her……how many days in jail do you think I’d get?? After all….it’s not like I’m drunk behind the wheel of an auto that could kill numerous people.

Just goes to show Money can buy anything. What a freaking Joke reduced time for what good behavior? And who else gets reduced time for good behavior BEFORE they even go in to the jail?

I heard a comment that because she showed up for court what????? We have to show up for court, but lets not forget she was late to show up for court. So that is a lame reason to give for reducing her sentence. Call it what it really is CA penal system… MONEY. We all know it anyway.

If Arnold has anything to do with this I hope you guys let him know what you feel about him using his power to do favors for his rich celebrity friends, favors us commoners would never be given.

Sounds like she is going to get the Club med wing in jail too. I bet anything she will be treated to special food and privileges while there.

I imagine she will whine when she comes out to all who will listen about how hard her 23 days (which will be most likely be reduced some more), were with the dirty “commoners” she had to be around. Then she will have a great big party when she comes out complete with booze and all. Then she’ll write a book pretending her club pen vacation was harder then it was. Oh poor little rich girl.

I have lost any respect for the CA penal system. The judge tried to do the right thing and they undermined him. Why am I not surprised.

She will probably be a royal pain and act like she needs more preppy attention in jail. Hopefully, they will keep her for the full 45 days. Anyhow, she will now have a record. Serves her right. We should all ignore her from now on when she gets out because she is a bad example for younger people. Actually, she was never a good example.

Whatever!! Most celebrities get away with murder, literaly. I think they are taking this way to far. Paris does not belong in jail. Not because of who she is it is a amtter of principle. Fact of the matter is she should be given community service or fine twice as much for her crimes but she should not be a lesson learned for other celebrities. If you are going to go to extreams with one celebrity than do it with the others who are repeat offenders who do much more.
