Despite rumors that Paris Hilton would be set free after just hours behind bars, it has been confirmed that the pampered heiress will complete a hefty portion of her sentence.
The L.A. Sheriff’s Department announced today that Hilton will spend at least 23 days behind bars for violating the terms of her probation.
The final decision was made by jailers today after her case file was reviewed.
She will also be separated from the general inmate population, even though she’ll live in a “special needs housing unit” reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates. The unit has 12, two-person cells.
Paris has vowed to appeal the sentence, but the clock is ticking -- her jailtime begins June 5!
