How Maureen McCormick Took Control of Her Ballooning Body

She was a beloved child star, the prettiest of the “Bunch” – but now Maureen McCormick is breaking her silence about the painful secret she kept hidden from the world.

In an exclusive interview with “Extra,” McCormick revealed the humiliation she felt when she could no longer control her weight.

After battling with depression, McCormick gave in to cravings and ballooned to 150 pounds – on a 5-foot-3-inch frame.

“I craved tons of pasta, breads, and ice cream,” said McCormick.

The resulting weight gain left her no other option but to wear overalls, and her embarrassment was made worse when the paparazzi began to document her shocking new look.

That’s when McCormick decided to head back to television – and sign up for a grueling fitness schedule with “Celebrity Fit Club.”

Since then, the former Brady has made drastic changes in her life – working out six days a week, cooking healthy meals, and even shopping for new clothes!

With her old overalls cast aside, McCormick told us, “I feel incredible.”

God Bless you sweetheart! You did it again… saved my life through your sweetness and inspiration. I fully understand eating binges when depressed. I’ve joined Celebrity Fit Club and have lost almost 50 pounds already! Aren’t their diets groovy!?

Update. I posted earlier but wanted to say I have now lost 19 pounds. I have always disliked reality tv shows but Celebrity Fit Club has changed my life. Maureen motivated me. I hope they will continue to have this show and have people that are genuine, not just there to promote their careers.

All of your hard work has paid off and you look wonderful, Maureen! I am 5’2” and 160, and starting today, I hope to take after you by losing 40 lbs plus. It’s going to be difficult as my binges have been out-of-control, but you are my inspiration! Thank you!

It is inspiring, to read about other woman, who admitt, to gaining weight. There is alot of shame, in gaining weight. We all need to say to ourselves, ok I gained weight and now I’m going to make up my mind to loose it! To be healthy first and looking better, is a bonus! Think POSITIVE !
