Alec Baldwin a No Show at Child Custody Hearing

Alec Baldwin was a no show in court Friday to what was supposed to be the first hearing since his nasty telephone tirade against his daughter, Ireland, became public.

Even though parental rights supporters stood outside and held up signs supporting Baldwin, the screen-stealing actor remained in New York.

Instead, ex-wife Kim Basinger snuck into the Los Angeles courthouse to hear the judge rule on reinstating Baldwin’s visitation rights.

His rights have been suspended since the tape – in which he called his 11-year-old a “thoughtless little pig” – was leaked and became a media sensation.

Baldwin has since made a public apology, blaming Basinger for leaking the recording and insisting the vicious voicemail was meant for her, not Ireland.

Meanwhile, “Extra” is breaking news about the couple’s next showdown outside the courtroom.

The bitter exes will next meet for battle…at the box office!

Their two new movies open on the very same day, and “Extra” got a sneak peak at the films.

Baldwin plays a foul-mouthed mobster who controls his neighborhood in “Brooklyn Rules.”

Basinger is a red-headed compulsive gambler starring in “Even Money” with “L.A. Confidential” co-star Danny DeVito.

The silver screen showdown begins May 18.

I am a housewife and business owner down in Australia, I don’t think that the American public or the American press give Alec a fair go! To have your child taken from you and then used against you as a pawn in a game of public manipulation is quite disgusting. Wake up America, see this man for the loving father and passionate person that he is. I challenge any or all of you to stand up and say that you don’t have your own views or that you haven’t been fed up and blown your stack and said things you wish you hadn’t….. If you have to judge this man, make it on his quality of acting, his commitment to your country, and the charities that he works so tirelessly for, (That’s if you feel that you must judge him at all!) I just cannot believe how the tall poppy syndrom is a basis for your society….. Build up and watch ‘em fall………disgusting!

Woman can be very manipulative at times and drive one to act out of character. Kim might have called Alec from Ireland’s phone and in the middle of arguing hung up on him prompting him to call back.If Kim ignored the calls when he tried reengaging and got the voicemail Alec probably just let it out.
In my custody case, my daughters mother was on probation for domestic violence, she smokes pot, drinks heavilly and wrecks her car all the time, but the courts still awarded the mother custody. Is there Discrimination in the courts? Obviously there is a better system to emplore, and as the father, I have never had a record of sorts. The system is flawed so I can relate to how frustrated Alec gets when Kim ignores protected visitation times and violates the paperwork. She is in contempt of court and if the courts allow mothers to spit in their face then the results will always be upset fathers.

Alec Baldwin’s unacceptable behavior has not been reported the way others’ have.This is not the first time he has done this.He has money and women like you -for some unknown reason- find him attractive so he is given a free ride.Maybe it’s time for women to make well informed intellectual calculations about people and events.

Alec…It’s pretty safe to say that everyone at least once has snapped out by either yelling or screaming at the little ones. And unfortunetly their are some parents that do more like hitting, spanking you name it. It’s funny how two people that once loved each other, now can hurt one another without blinking an eye! But that’s life…Divorce is never easy and this is another example of that. The fact that Kim leaked this phone conversation is wrong but what’s that saying “All Good In Love And War”! I guess she has to do what it takes to win the battle. Good Luck to all three of you!

Kim didn’t do anything wrong! Alec did! Hello. Alec made the phone call. Alec keeps dragging this out in the media. Alec called his daughter a Pig on HER phone. Alec threatened his daughter. Alec cursed out his daughter, and Alec didn’t show up for court in the custody matter.

Comments like “Kim needs to be held accountable for her actions” when we have not seen Kim do anything wrong make me sick. Oh and the slanderous scenario made up by Joe public that never existed about Kim wanting Alec not to be at the court. The public trying to create a world that did not exist so they could again blame Kim and make Alec’s actions of not showing up for court her fault too, that is unbelievable.

I can understand why Alec exploded at Ireland, but that dos,nt make it right. He has to learn how to curb his anger, and live with it, like the rest of us do. But I think he needs a new lawyer. Kim should be held accountable for her actions also. They sure know how to push eachothers buttons..

Folks, none of us know what was said behind doors of that court room. Once again the media is spinning to keep this family in turmoil not thinking of the child in the middle.

As far as we know Kim (who suffers from anxiety disorders and many other mental issues that involve paranoia) may have asked that he not be there and he agreed to just send his lawyer to represent him.

He may have a contractual agreement that he could not get out of-someone has to pay support for these rich kids right? He shows in court and loses his contract, can’t pay child support, then he’s also called the dead beat dad.

Who knows why he did or did not show but the parties involved?

It’s really none of anyones business.

Worse yet how many will feed into your act of poor me again it’s not me it’s Kim etc, and say every dad has a right to abuse their child if they don’t like the mother?

Lets hear the excuse’s of the crazy supporters. Hay Rosie are you out there? How about the rest of you, saying It’s okay for Alex to abuse his ex, his child and not follow any rules, because he’s a famous father and you like his celebrity, or are projecting your own lives onto his situation.

Oh and again Alex slapped you supporters in the face by not showing up. Yep keep supporting him guys, you are trying harder to win custody for Alex then he is.

Oh and Alex’s new movie Brooklyn Rules should be easy for him. It does not sound like a stretch at all of his character. They always say you will do your best work if you stick with things that come naturally to you, playing a foul-mouthed bully must have been a piece of cake for Alex.

It’s the same old thing daddy loves his daughter so much that he doesn’t even show up for the court date let the lawyers handle it. Isn’t your daughter worth fighting for Mr. Baldwin? Your words to the public are empty words and thats it because action speak louder than words. You could have shown the public how you really felt by showing up at court. I know the public shouldn’t judge people but you took it to the public when you went on national television to defend your actions so I think we the public now have a right to our opinions!!! Grow up little boy!!!

So what if he didn’t show? People have their lawyers represent them in court every day. With the heated tempers flairing it was probably best they didn’t meet in court.

Good grief, give them some peace already.

How about senate Bill 1080-the backdoor to throwing out new drugs faster without testing them as much as they do now…Vioxx ring a bell. Yea that system was already working so wellll.

How about telling the public about the CODEX for a change in which they want to strip the shelves of natural supplements and make the theraputic dosage supplements given only via a prescription at a mUCH, much inflated rate?

What about chemtrails? Want to REALLY know what is happening to the bEES? Look up at your sky and see those lONG sprays coming from the planes that do NOT go away quickly like contrails and you will have your answer as to why so many are getting sick and why our ecosystem is suffering and NO it isn’t cell phones although they are doing enough to humans on thier own.

Plenty to talk about Extra if you really cared about what is happening to the people all around you.

It is time to drop the gloves, and set up a 50-50 agreement to share parenthood. Unfortunately many children could attend Harvard on the money wasted in Divorce court.If the Judge sees this, please send them to Mediation. Kim could have school year, Alec summers, and 4 weeks during school break or arrange 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

I 110% agree with Alison, if indeed he was concerned about his rights as a Father he would have been there, explaining and fighting…if only for the day, afterall, he was going to CA for one day “to straighten Irland out”

If alec wanted to fight for his daughter why not show? It sends a message to the judge-and his daughter! Remember there are 2 sides to every story and Kim hasn’t said a lot about this whole thing!

Baracuda Basinger needs to back off. I think she may be causing all of this. Sounds like Alec is just at the end of his rope from being kept from his daughter. Shame on her if this is the case.
