Sadly, I think Sanjaya does have a chance at winning. I don’t think he SHOULD win - but there’s a chance it could happen. America votes and America gets to decide who their American Idol is. Sanjaya should have been voted off weeks ago, and he’s still here because people still want him on the show. He’s not a good singer, he’s a good entertainer.

When people feed off of others successes, it seems obvious that they have no-talent and need to use others to be noticed. Mr. Stern is a no-talent, insentivie, disgusting human being. Why would anyone want to follow this man’s advise??? It’s really sad that he feels the need to bring down AI and by doing that he’s hurting this young man? Bashing Sanjaya doesn’t seem right. At 17 what will this do to this young man? Is this fair to him? By not voting or not watching AI, you let people like Stern win.

Sanjaya is a talentless twirp. There is a rumor going around that there are clubs and Howard Stern that want him to win and are voting en masse for him because “they hate AI”? American Idol does alot for young people who get this exposure and have talent. The people who are trying to throw a wrench into the system are about as talentless as Sanjaya and have a very selfish agenda. If Sanjaya becomes the American idol it would be too bad because he is in for a big FALL. All of the real talent will be signed up for record deals, etc., and no one but girls UNDER 13 will buy his recordings. And THEN…..THEY WILL GROW UP. So, the people running this campaign because they hate AI should really start looking at doing something constructive vs this. Especially, now that the show is trying to raise money for starving children. What good has Howard Stern done for the world……or anyone else involved in this. How will Sirius benefit? Maybe phone lines should also be looked at to see if there are any diversion tactics. Talk about HATE crimes………this is why the world is so jammed up. I think those of us who can see talent when it hits us in the face should keep on watching American idol EVEN IF this conspiracy continues and Sanjaya wins……..how can you fight hate and the ridiculous unless you don’t buckle under this type of blackmail. At least we will continue to see the talent of America’s youth. I LOVE SIMON COWELL because he tells the truth and not afraid to do so…..because in the end…it is FOR THE CONTESTANT’s benefit. But the people who hate him either have a green streak OR have been lied to and overprotected all of their life. It seems the talentless have mistaken their karaoke machine for their own singing….and the talented are the humble ones. Poor little Sanjaya is but aNOTHER pawn OF big busines and hate mongers and each week he gets up there more and more emboldened and riper and riper for the big fall. And then he will wonder all his life “why no one appreciated his remarkable talent” after American Idol. caw

Having done my share of singing in high school and college, I believe I can recognize talent and I believe that Sanjaya should have been voted off weeks ago. Melinda Doolitte and Lakisha Jones,should win the top 2 spots this season. I also agree that the boys this season did not compare to the talent in the past. I predict that only 1 male contestant will make it to the top 5. For your information, I am a 63 year old mother, grandmother, teacher and Realtor who enjoys watching the program, but strongly feels that the voting system should be given a second loook and possibly be revised in the very near future. Also, if the judges were more selective with their choices in the first place, we would not have a Sanjaya now making a mockery of the “American Idol.”

Sanjaya is only surviving because of people like Howard Stern that are trying to discredit American Idol. However, that makes Sanjaya unique among the other contestants in that he is the only contestant that will never have any more people voting for him in future episodes.

When Sundance Head was voted off, I threw my support behind Chris Sligh. When he was voted off, I supported Gina Glocksen. And now that Gina is gone, I’m most likely going to vote for Melinda Doolittle. My point is that every time someone is voted off of American Idol, everyone that had previously voted for that contestant will have chosen their next favorite contestant.

Sanjaya’s stayed alive thus far because there were twenty-three serious contestants and one clown. What AI demonstrated during the April 4th elimination by dividing them into groups of three was that, even with only eight other contestants to contend with, his anti-AI vote does not make him a front runner.

Since Sanjaya is the only contestant who’s voter pool never grows after another contestant is eliminated, that means his defeat is inevitable, especially considering Sanjaya’s strategy is to cater to the anti-AI vote. Last week it was the mohawk, and this week he schmoozed up to a woman old enough to be his mother. By that pattern I expect to see him perform the Ding Dong Song before his elimination.

I think Sanjaya is the biggest f%*^& joke in this show…! but sure lets vote for him so there will be no more american idol next year because if millions of people vote this year, next year will be 10 just 10 people will watch and vote(hopefully there are 10 maybe less)…! (My 6 yrs old nephew is better than that Sanjayaclown)…!

This “wanna-be” singer (NOT!) will be the one apple that will spoil the whole BUNCH! My teenage years revolved around 1970 superstars who really had talent and made an impact.
I like to be able to understand the lyrics, and …as the American Bandstand kids use to say … have a song with a good dancing beat.! Donny Osmond and his family were IT for me. I still perk up, when Donny makes the entertainment news! In less than one year this will be history. I will look forward to 2008’s American Idol Show. Age 50.

I can’t beleive that Sanjaya is still on the best show in years. I am a very loyal watcher and dislike what I am seeing or better yet hearing. Sanjaya is a cute kid but he just doesn’t have the talent for this show.I can’t believe that someone like Sundance with his awesome talent was taken off the show. People please vote truthfully,vote for their talent not thir looks and sweetness before someone else gets taken off that really deserves to be there.

I have been reading the other posts. This is the first year that I have watched AI from the start. I am only watching it to see Sanjaya. I do not think he is a joke. He can sing. Bottom line,I vote for Sanjaya because I like him. I am an white american. I will only watch A I as long as Sanjaya is on.
