sigh… well, so far, I haven’t seen anyone voted off better, except Stephanie. I was glad to see Gina go, as her comments earlier that she only cared for herself were quite telling.
Though, her choice in song was excellent for the week she got voted off. “Smile”

It was the same with last year’s competition. that rocker that everyone was so hot about, when he sang that self serving song about “what are you going to do for me?” type lyrics, I was completely turned off to him.

Taylor Hicks had a little humility and still does, and cares about entertaining, not just becoming famous.

I have vowed to vote for Sanjaya every week in a grand scheme to sabotage American Idol. I think it’s working.

I think Sanjaya has a great chance of winning..I mean i vote for him wayy more then once every Tuesday…i knoe there is a whole lot of ppl who really hate him…But if u actully think about it he is talented…There may be better contestents on there but i mean ppl relize it’s up too America and the teens like me love him..I think he just might Win it all.&& i would be super happy….I think he deserves every single bit of it because he gets up there and he blows out what half of America says about him and he does what he has too do..So i seriously think he should be apprciated….for that at least…

I think this is good because it shows the flaw that many have known exists with this show - that it’s almost more of a popularity contest in many cases. It needs to be done similar to Dancing with the Stars where they use a combination of the judges and people vote. To all you Sanjaya haters, I have 2 things to say: 1)Where are you in the contest? Don’t blame him for still being there. He at least made the final audition so he can probably sing better than you. 2)Why the heck would he quit when there is A LOT of money at stake. For all the crap he’s taken, I think it would be great for him to win it all and show A.I. up.

This season is going to ruin American Idol. It defeats its purpose as a musical talent search. As far as I’m concerned I will not tune into American Idol next season if Sanjaya wins.

If Sanjaya wins - you should say goodbye to American Idol. It will have become a joke. He should do the right thing and take himself out of the competition. I think it’s time that AI lets the judges have the final vote, it’s the only way to save the show and find real talent like the previous winners.

These talented young people will learn, grow and be successful in their own right, despite the politics. They have been given an incredible opportunity. They are the masters of their own destiny. Each and every one of their lights will shine. It will be up the the individual as to how they utilize this amazing opportunity.
