'The View's' Elisabeth Hasselbeck Pregnant

The confetti flew Monday morning, as “The View’s” Elisabeth Hasselbeck broke baby news on “The View.”

“I’m totally three months pregnant,” she exclaimed. “Tim and I thought we should get busy and maybe make a little co-host.”

Elisabeth is due and will be on maternity leave in November, just months after Rosie exits.

Please!!! EH is the BEST and don’t forget the Title of the T.V. show your watching. EH has the right to express her view. The only reason why I am not a Democrat or Republican because Democrat loves to help the people who doesn’t want to work!!! and Republican want us to give them half of our money but at least we can show to the world that we are rich and willing to protect the Country. For Anti-Republican, please don’t forget those people who died to protect us all and most of all Remember the people who died at Twin Tower. For Anti-Democrat all they want is not to give our food to the Foriegn Country that you Bombed. PEACE YO!

Hello,

I don’t watch The View daily - I stopped when Rosie was on - she seems plagued with compulsion, confusion, fear and inflated ego. I felt Elisabeth Hasselback stood her ground even though Rosie wanted to crush her every thought and word. What intelligent, whole person converses with this kind of animosity. Control is a nasty thing and certainly shows no respect for the other person. I gained a new respect for Elisabeth who seemed to have to stand alone in her pursuit of being heard.

Okay…that is really low, calling her child a bigot! Grow up! You don’t have to agree with her views nor does she have to agree with yours. We all have rights to our own opinions, we don’t have to agree with someone elses view points but we do need to be a little more mature and agree to disagree. The View is interesting because it has co-hosts with different views and opionions on so many things going on in todays world and in life. It would be boring if everyone all sat there and had the same thing to say and agreed on everything you do. We are all entitled to our beliefs and as Americans we don’t have to agree or accept others beliefs, we each have the right to our own. We do need to show people a little more respect and not sit here and bad mouth someone who has done no harm to you, all she does is give her VIEW and she is entitled to that!

As a follow-up to my 25 Sep 2007 post… as soon as I heard that Matt Leinart had been injured, I figured Tim Hasselbeck would get a call from the Arizona Cardinals. So here’s my prediction… Elizabeth will never come back as co-host on “The View”… maybe as a guest spot, but not as co-host. As a high-profile conservative Republican, she might find herself spending time with Arizona Senator John McCain, juicing up his Presidential campaign. And, after she and husband Tim have spent a little time with Matt Leinart hearing about L.A. glitz and glamour, and her agent has shopped her around Hollywood, I predict EH will look West rather than Northeast for the next step in her career.

Every time someone writes or speck publicly about Elisabeth ideas they always contradict themselves and criticizes her for the very something. Then they give Rosie and the others credit for their opinion and not facts you can find in a book or on the internet. Everyone that said they hate her are just has mean and hateful as they claim Elisabeth is. Grow up!

does anyone remember why we went to war? It was because of sept 11th. what about all those innocent people who died in the world trade center and also the people at the pentagon. What about the people who went down in a field to keep the terroists from slamming into the white house? You talk about the soldiers who fight and lose thier lives ,but the same soldiers know this that is why they are there.I know that was not the reason we went to iraq but enforce the guidelines set by the united nations and sadaam didn’t want to comply with that and kicked our inspectors out.You don’t realize the evil things that sadaam did to his own people. he killed and let his sons rape the iraq women. I respect Elisabeth so much because she stands for morals and alot of people in hollywood do not.I hope elisabeth that your baby arrives safe and healthy.

I’m often annoyed by Elisabeth when I watch The View and have to check myself:

Is it just because I disagree with her opinions? Because it’s important to keep in mind the value of having different perspectives.

No, at least part of it is the way she often comes off shrill and inflexible, almost like a teenager. Maybe that’s what made Whoopie recently reference her age, even though she’s 30.

She lacks the wisdom the other co-hosts bring, to put some reasoning behind her point of view.

I think she isn’t there to be reasonable. She’s there to be fill the “young and attractive” slot, plus present a conservative opinion. But the young and shrill combo just isn’t attractive.

Even though I’m progressive, I’d rather listen to a conservative who presents herself in a way that adds legitimacy to the debate.

I respect everyone’s point of view, but don’t you think we should spend more time worrying about our family, kids, husbands, best friends, etc. than thinking about what EH next move is. She’s there for a reason. Don’t be so naive. Please!!!!!

Go enjoy life!!!!!!

while i am a firm believer that people are entitled to their opinions, i have to wonder why it is that some people are so concerned with the decisions of others. especially in matter that they have absolutely no experience or perspective about. Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s opinions contain no personal insight, and are merely ignorant assumptions about actions and situations she’s never dealt with. she lacks both compassion or empathy. Maybe she should remember that, absolutes are for the self-righteous. The only problem with being self-righteous, is that you often find yourself in the company of hypocrisy.

Hi Elisabeth. Thank you for representing your fellow conservatives. I watch “The View” to keep up on current events and love to hear your opinions. I admire your values and unwillingness to waiver. I also am a Republican, have a two year old daughter and pregnant with my second child.

When you’re watching “The View” and listening to Elisabeth, ask yourself where her strong opinions are coming from. Remember, this woman is seven months pregnant, her husband used to be a 3rd-string NFL quarterback, but now he’s unemployed and looking for work in TV broadcasting (good luck!). He’s spent his whole life being in charge… high school, college, the NFL, and now he’s sitting around at home while his pregnant wife goes off to work. Imagine the tension in that household! And don’t forget the Frank & Kathy Lee Gifford story… if Tim Hasselbeck isn’t happy here (his mind), and he isn’t happy here (his heart), he might decide he’s going to be happy HERE (guess where!).

Elizabeth, you are the only reason I watch The View. I applaud your courage & conviction in the face of such liberal hostility. Without your input, The View would be nothing more than a forum for more liberal whining. You deserve credit for standing firm in the face of adversity & offering an alternative “View”.Best wishes to you and your family. Keep up the good work! Teresa

I hope she gets hit by a bus or something, or has her voicebox crushed because I get so tired of her bashing Clinton all the time and praising Bush. I was glad when Whoopi got on her about her constant Clinton bashing when it is obvious that Bush has made bigger mistakes while in office than Clinton ever did.

EH is so hot, and when she smiles she’s even sexier. Such a contrast, liberals are so full of hatred and bigotry (check out ranting posts here), but conservatives are just pleasant to listen to, spend time with, and look at- and they smile!

I’d gladly go to war with terrorists in Iraq/Iran to fight for the future of this nation and thus allow everyone to live in peace for years to come and watch dumb shows, read dumb blogs, and tune in to see women like EH! Wow, liberals have a lot to learn from her!

Well Elizabeth did it again, this time with Whoopie. She is rude opinionated and can’t seem to let anyone have an opinion of their own. I thought it was about Rosie when I do not care for, but it seem like Elizabeth can’t get along with anyone. Hope she decides to stay home after the baby is born it would be a blessing for all of us to not have to listen to her rant and rave about politics. We don’t have to listen to it at work and I think the network should just tell her to shut up and get on with the show.
