J-Lo to Adopt…Sanjaya?!

Only “Extra” is going one on one with the one and only Sanjaya!

Our Terri Seymour sat down with the mane man to find out what’s up with the world’s most watched locks.

“My favorite was definitely when I sang Besame Mucho…minus all the oil [in my hair],” he revealed.

On Friday, Sanjaya was also singing guest mentor Jennifer Lopez’s praises: “She really cared, she really wanted to help us.”

As for J Lo’s husband Marc Anthony’s admission that he wants to adopt Sanjaya, the “Idol” wannabe couldn’t find words for the offer.

“I don't know… I was like, ‘Sure.’ I mean, I’ve never been offered to be adopted,” he said.

Now that his “A.I.” days are over, Sanjaya is getting his first taste of fame from “The Tonight Show.”

Jack Black, who was the guest star alongside the lovable singer, revealed, “You had a great ride, Sanjaya!”

And this weekend, Sanjaya will travel to the White House Correspondent’s dinner… where he could meet President Bush!

So what will he say to GW?

“I don’t know! I’ve never met a president; I don’t know what you say to them!” Sanjaya said.

But before he begins his famous new lifestyle, Sanjay is sending a message to his famous number one fan, Ashley.

“Hi Ashley, I’m glad that I got to meet you and don’t cry… it’s okay!” he said.

However, her tears flowed again when we delivered his message today!

“I just love everything about him,” Ashley said through tears.

Now it’s down to the spectacular six and a historic week as “Idol Gives Back,” the hit show’s campaign to help children around the globe.

Only “Extra” has been with Simon every step of the way, from Terri’s video diary in Africa to an L.A. food bank, which will also benefit from next week’s star-studded event.

“For a dollar donated on this show, you get $20 of a full bag of groceries, which will feed one of these families,” Simon said.

Sanjaya was an asset to American Idol. I looked forward to seeing him each week. I’m sorry that he is gone.

What a wonderful young man! Sanjaya is a class act and a gentleman. I will miss his sweet smile and lovely humor. You can tell his mother did a fabulous job raising her boy. Well done, kiddo!

We love Sanjaya! My children adore you. We can’t wait to see you on tour.

Sanjaya, just be yourself. You’re charming & charismatic, & you do it effortlessly.
The racists & homophobes – chuckle at their helpless obsession with you…
When you have to, put losers in their place with humorous wit - like your Mohawk retort to Simon, it made even Simon smile.
Just don’t be a punching bag.
Finally, always have kind words for your admirers, like the beautiful little crying girl Ashley.

I sense jealousy at Sanjaya’s fame from “ding dong sanjaya is gone”.

Oh yeah…and the vote was totally rigged to attention away from Simon rolling his eyes at the V Tech reference.

We love you Sanjaya!
In the Universe of Sanjaya, “life is Beautiful”
Thank you for reminding us of that in a time of National Tragedy.
I hope we see so much more of Sanjaya!
I will buy his CDs, can’t wait for the music videos—and more EXTRA coverage of this lovely human being.

I love Sanjaya since the day I seen him auditioned for American Idol. There is no doubt in my mind that this kid is going places. He is so shy and humble and ADORABLE,a great singer and performer. Heck, move over J-Lo I want to be the first to adopt him!

I was devastated when I saw Sanjaya cry when Ryan told him he’s going home. Don’t worry you’ll be the best entertainer in the whole world. I’m going to watch you anywhere you go. I just love you .

I was extremely sad to see Sanjaya leave American Idol. While, I probably knew it was a long shot to actually win AI, crazier things have happened! I wish nothing but success and fulfillment for Sanjaya. He has definitely gotten America’s attention and I hope it pays off to him and his family in a very positive way.

Sanjaya you are a sweet person and a really good singer. Your rendition of “Besame Mucho” was one of the best I’ve heard. You have a bright future ahead of you in entertainment. All the best!

I’m a baby-boomer and a Fanjaya! I was crushed when Sanjaya was eliminated from AI.

Seeing him make the media rounds has definitely cheered me up.

I read on some of the Sanjaya fan boards that a bunch of young Fanjayas are planning to travel to NYC to catch his appearance on the Today show - which has not even been verified!

Guess what folks? The Universe of Sanjaya is on fiyah!

My son is name Sanjay and was delighted they almost had something in common with their names. Sanjaya is an Entertainer - no matter what - he made National TV and we are still sitting at home talking about Sanjaya. Guess what? Look what national tv did for him. Lot’s of guest apperances on tv and talk shows and may even meet the President. See who’s smiling now. All the best Sanjaya in your future endeavours.

PS You have a great smile and show personality.
