Is Jessica Simpson's Dad Helping Britney Resurrect her Career?

It’s no secret that pop princess Britney Spears is on the comeback trail.

And now that Brit has reclaimed her sexpot body, she wants to make sure everyone gets a good look… including potential new manager Joe Simpson, the mastermind behind the explosive careers of sisters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson.

Word is that Jessica’s daddy is interested in taking Britney under his managerial wing, but is it true?

When “Extra” spoke to Brit’s reps Wednesday morning, they denied Joe has contacted Spears, saying "This is not true."

Donald Trump: Rosie Got Fired Because of Me

Only "Extra" has what you didn't see behind the scenes when Rosie O'Donnell made her bombshell announcement Wednesday morning on "The View."

"I've decided that we couldn't come to terms with my deal with ABC, so next year I'm not going to be on 'The View,'" Rosie revealed on air during Wednesday morning's chat fest.

"Extra" has learned that just hours before the announcement was made, Rosie and Joy joked about the big news on her video blog.

"There's a big announcement, everybody's here so early," Joy said.

Heather Mills: 'I Just Had a Feeling'

Heather Mills danced off “Dancing with the Stars” Tuesday night after the judges scores and the viewers’ votes put her at the bottom of the pack.

However, after the show, Heather told “Extra” she wasn’t surprised.

“I’m very intuitive, very instinctive,” she said. “I just had a feeling.”

Nick Lachey's Lady, Vanessa Minnillo, Leaving MTV

MTV host Vanessa Minnillo is leaving MTV’s “Total Request Live,” People magazine reports.

The brunette beauty is ready to move on from her graduation of sorts: "I had my four years there like high school or college,” the 26-year-old revealed at a benefit for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. "I'm ready for the next chapter – what it is, I have no idea. [But] I don't want to be 48 saying, 'Hey kids, now it's Sean Preston Spears' video.' "

Minnillo, who recently moved in with longtime love Nick Lachey, also admitted there are a few things she’ll miss about her gig.

"I'm going to miss that daily live factor of anything can happen," she said. "There's an adrenaline rush that goes with that. It's so exciting to be able to leave and say I loved it and I'm going to miss it."

Rosie O’Donnell Quits ‘The View’

On Wednesday morning, Rosie O’Donnell revealed she is leaving “The View” after only one controversial season on the morning chatfest.

“I’ve decided we couldn’t come to terms with my deal,” Rosie said on-air.

The network also confirmed Wednesday that they were unable to come to terms on another contract with the star.

"I wanted one year, they wanted three years," Rosie said of the negotiations. But don’t fret just yet, O’Donnell added: "I'm not going away. I'm just not going to be here every day."

Barbara Walters, co-anchor and creator of “The View,” revealed she's "grateful" that O'Donnell spent a year with the show and admitted she's "sad" Rosie is leaving. She added they have not even begun to search for Ro’s replacement.

The president of ABC daytime programming says they knew when they first hired O'Donnell that anything longer than a one-year stay would be "gravy."

He added that the ABC hopes O'Donnell will do a series of one-hour specials for the network and maybe even guest host once in a while.

Kim Basinger Fires Back at Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin’s ex Kim Basinger is finally firing back, publicly addressing the now infamous voicemail that Alec left their daughter, Ireland.

In a statement to “Extra,” Kim made it known that she wants Alec to “finally address his unstable and irrational behavior.”

Basinger also claimed she “did not release the voicemail,” but pointed out, “The voicemail was not sealed under a court order.”

As the already ugly divorce gets uglier, “Extra” sought the observation of David Crausman, director of clinical psychotherapy at LA.’s Center for Healthful Living, and he revealed he’s most worried about the couple’s 11-year-old daughter.

Britney is officially back! The pop princess busted a move through a sea of paparazzi Monday night, as she arrived at the Millennium Dance Studio in Los Angeles showing off her toned tummy in a cropped hot pink top.

Once class was over, Brit emerged with a smile on her face wearing fishnet stocking and boots.

But now comes the rumor that the mother of two is getting ready to perform with the Pussycat Dolls, and of course “Extra” is setting the record straight.
