Carrie Underwood Downplays Weight Loss

American IdolCarrie Underwood is all grown up, and she's showing some leg on the May cover of Cosmopolitan magazine.

In the mag, the blonde bombshell and former sorority girl downplays her weight loss following her “Idol” days, insisting she didn’t starve herself.

Instead, Underwood contends, she dropped a few pounds thanks to eating right and dieting.

Now on the top of the music industry, Carrie also opened up about her love life.

“I’m not saying I want to get married tomorrow, but I’d like to have someone other than my mom to call when I have good news,” she dished.

See a sexy side of Carrie Underwood, when Cosmo hits newsstands April 10.

I liked her better when she was heavier. Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Hicks, Carrie Underwood: they all dropped pounds after their Idol wins. Why does everyone successful in Hollywood have to conform to some Barbie & Ken image? I like stocky guys and curvaceous women. And this isn’t sour grapes on my part either: I’m 5’5”, 132 lbs. (male). Never liked being a stick figure. I like guys and gals who are more “huggable.”

Think what you want but Carrie Underwood is a true farm girl and anyone can stand to lose a pound, she looks great her albums are selling and she isn’t bulimic or anorexic, she’s a positive role model and anyone i’ve spoken to says she is an inspirtation. If anything she is an influence on eating right and exercising. No matter what u do u can’t please everyone….especially in Hollywood. Has anyone thought about maybe hanking Carrie for taking control of a problem instead of targeting her for it? I think we could learn a lesson from her and that’s to eat right and take care of yourself!

Carriw would NEVER ever starve herself. She’s a smart girl. She knows what she’s doing. this is insanly stupid people keep focusing on her weight issues instead of how amazing she is doing on the sale charts and so on.

I think carrie looks good no matter what is on the outside it is whats on the inside that counts, and you cant judge people what they look like. Carrie never let anyone judge you of what you look like you look fine of how you are no matter what. Carrie just keep up the good work of singing and one day i will be where you are right by your side. Carrie I am from pawhuska Oklahoma and here in Oklahoma we dont judge people by their looks and remember that and never forget it.
