Well, it’s funny to see you being so decent in front of the cameras!! Not like we saw you last night at a gentleman’s club! Your mouth alone was offensive enough but once you pulled your…eh egm…you-know-what out, we really weren’t impressed. Not only unimpressed for the obvious reasons, but also that you represent Extra in this way. Although you tried, stories of all the celebrities you have interviewed (Britney your most recent)weren’t enough to make us little people see you as anything but a JOKE! Next time-if your going to flash your phone around with the Extra logo on it and tell everyone what a big time celeb you are…keep that little thing in your pants!!

One of the things that made this show great is that it asked the question “does Tony Soprano deserve to live?”. That being one of the most prevalent themes in the show I don’t think the writers of the Sopranos wanted to make that judgment for the viewers. It was up to us. Is Tony good or evil? Again up to us. He certainly has committed evil acts, but are they enough to label him as evil and to say most definitely that he should die? I think not. His saving grace is that above all he loves his family and is motivated by them to be a good man.
Most likely the use of animal symbolism was to outline Tony’s animalistic qualities such as his driving stubbornness to survive. He is an animal, and will do whatever it takes for he and his family to survive. Again it is up to us to decide if he is an evil man for doing whatever he feels is necessary to continue living. This is survival of the fittest. This is Darwinism. This is the American Dream.

Thanks for entertaining my thoughts.

watch the ENTIRE episode again with the following in mind and you will ENJOY TREMENDOUSLY picking out the clues as to what happened to Tony; some are handed to you on a silver platter, some are more subtle, some are open to debate, and some are downright abstract; but one thing is for sure- there are a LOT of clues!!!

pay close attention to:
all of the signs and references to fatty foods such as “pork”, “pig”, “hamburger patties”, “italian sausage” …

all the health references throughout (Paulie being the fit and healthy, Tony the unhealthy)

all the stress piling up with respect to all the people Tony loves and facing the prospect of losing them…including the ‘80 to 90% probability that he’ll be indicted’…

the many, many references to ‘heart’…

pay ESPECIALLY close attention to the songs and artists on the jukebox. (WINK WINK!!!)

go back, even, to the previous episode where Tony tears the page out of the therapists’ magazine. Look at what was so important to Tony to tear out. (heh heh)

Putting all the clues together you’ll find out what finally did Tony in…the mob couldn’t, nor could the feds…nor could any of his enemies…

did he die? now THAT we don’t know for certain…remember Meadow was a medical student and may be able to come to the rescue as she is just about to enter the door(hint again)

Maybe then you’ll understand what the sudden ‘cut to black’ at the end is. Remember we see things through Tony’s eyes…

he never saw it coming…didn’t hear a thing. Neither did we, myself included…but looking back at the episode again all the warning signs were there.

Just like the real thing.

ENJOY! ;)

Well there’s one thing that was definately solved. Meadow WILL NOT be the next NJ mob boss. The chick can’t even parallel park.

She would be like, “Wait here 10 minutes so I can park the car and we’ll go rough up those steel workers who owe me and my crew some money!”

Its obvious they left it that way to make for a more excitiing movie in the near future. Kind of like sex and the city- think they are dumb enough to end like that?? and not make more money off of a crappy ending?? lets be serious

The restaurant where the series ends looks very familiar.
It seem to me (and I could be imagining things) that there has been a promo running throughout seasons 6 (a&b) that shows that same reastaurant exploding.
Whenever I saw that promo I assumed it was from season 6 - I certainly couldn’t place the shot from any earlier episode.
If I’m right, the restaurant exploding was an alternate ending to Sopranos that was not used… or was it?
In any case, I think the way Sopranos ended was excellent.
If you want to think Tony prevailed; go ahead. If you want to think Tony had a heart attack or Syl wakes up tomorrow or AJ gets a life, it’s up to you.
I’ve been a devoted TV viewer for over 50 years and nothing comes close to Sopranos.

you gotta be kidding me, if that was a heartatttack they could have done better to illustrate Tony’s POV, It could have also been what he has mentioned a couple of times previously about “not hearing the one that gets you”. He couldve been popped and he never saw it coming.

Again poor cinamatography. it totally sucked. What a dissapointment.

I have loved this series like no other and I realize that this was pretty much the way it HAD to end but I have to say I was disappointed in the final episode. The more I think about it, though, the better I like it.

it all adds up…

Tony’s comment to AJ in the car when AJ was running…

Paulie’s comment to Tony…

all that was happening around Tony…

the purposeful shots of the restaurant food (greasy burgers and ONION RINGS)

the giveaway…the music titles repeatedly popping up on the jukebox…

everything goes black.

Heart attack.

Tony finds out about the meteor induced tidal wave coming quickly towards shore sure to destroy NJ as we know it. He hijacks some kids dirtbike and takes off with his therapist into the mountains of PA where he encounters a wandering league of zombies who are trying to eat his brain. Luckily his dirt bike had a sidecar with Paulie in it and he’s armed to the teeth. While Paulie is kicking some zombie a*$ the tidal wave comes and goes. Paulie is swept away but who’s left behind but “sleeping with the fishes” fat guy that dropped out of Dancing with the Stars. You know he dropped out of Dancing with the stars because he said you have to be fat to be a believable NJ Mafia guy..insinuating that all NJ mafia men are big fat fatties. Anyway he’s washes up and Tony is actually happy to see him but a zombie gets em.

Tony turns to run but all he see’s is a Zombie mouth coming right at him.

Credits roll.

That’s that guys. Sorry to be a spoiler.
