Seems to me whatever Simon does is wrong. He is a judge and many like to hear his opinion, because he speaks his mind. Sometimes, he is diplomatic, and people are disappointed. They love to hate him. Luckily, Simon does not care what people think about him, and why should he? A very successful man, and with the benefit of being the male version of Rosie O’Donnell. Well, yes, more in shape, but that is also a choice. If more people were honest, the outspoken ones, who can also give credit where it is due, are the ones to bother listening to. I am a showbusiness Brit living in the USA, and do not always like the points made, where they are too personal or hurtful to some contestants, but I like Simon and am proud of him.

I still haven’t figured out how she got a show on TV in the first place.At first she was funny, then her true self came out.I think she is unhappy with herself and it makes her feel good to put everyone down.Now that she is on the View, she uses it to blast everyone.Of course when she spouts off about someone,she is in the spotlight for a while.We should all ignore her and maybe she will dissapear.

What the hell is the matter with Americans. To say Idol is a racist show is so ridiculous, ignorant, and yes, racist. This is a season of black people, with great talent. Why do we always have to play the racist card? Yes, racism still exists in this country, but in blacks as well as whites. Blacks make more noise about it. To bring it to Idol is totally out of order. It’s just not there, nor is this silly skinny whites over heavier black thing. Does anyone recall Rueben, and Clay? Well, the skinny white lost and hefty black won. I am white, never been a racist, think the black girls, ( and yes, may I say, a little heavier) are the best this season without a doubt. Would I vote differently than that aboslutely not. TALENT is talent, and that’s what this show is about. Get the hell off the racism kick, or just don’t watch Idol, believe me they don’t need you.

American Idol is just a TV show that allows the American public to sit on their asses and make judgment calls. Ms Hudson should not apologize to Simon, she’s thanked the show enough.

You people have no right judge a person based on sound bytes alone. Simon is trying milk her success for the good of his show.

The real giants in music industry view the show as prop, and
has Cowell really been responsible for discovering any major
talents in music before the success of Idol, no he hasn’t.

You can’t compare Simon’s achievements to the likes of Clive Davis,
David Geffen, Tommy Mottola etc. Randy Jackson has worked with bigger names!

If the Academy felt Ms Hudson’s performance in Dreamgirls was Oscar material, so be it. Those of that say she’s not talented enough, who are you, and what have you done.

I’ve seen Ms Hudson perform live and she’s brilliant. At this point she has every right to be little ticked off at all this Idol drama.

Love the show….but I have to say it must really tickle black america that the top 5 female singers are black…out of the thousands that auditioned the top running are black…I don’t quite get it….it’s almost like a conspiracy that a black female gets it this year. I’m the furtherest from a raciest that you would ever meet….but it’s as if a white person doesn’t win their not talented but if a black person doesn’t win it’s because their black. I agree with Melissa. Jennifer Hudson did not deserve to be nominated let alone win…she just isn’t that good. If you had to give an award to someone in that movie…what about Eddie Murphy…he was fantastic..the award would have been well-deserved.

Can we all grow up and get real for a second. All of these “entertainment” showes are only on TV to entertain, to excite, to cause a stir among each other, hello it’s all about how high the ratings are so that they get more money.
