Paula Abdul: 'People Misunderstand Me Completely'

The pressure is on as the remaining contestants battle it out for a spot in “Idol’s” coveted Top 10. Now, only “Extra” is revealing who could be singing the blues when the music stops.

Our Terri Seymour spent time dishing with Paula Abdul as the perky judge confessed, “I love the show because it’s just so unpredictable.”

Paula also told Terri that she expects more Simon and Ryan firework in the future: “Every single night it’s the joke. It’s a contest to see who can throw each other off.”

Paula admitted that she prefers to stay out of the line of fire when it comes to dealing with the dueling egos. “Good thing I’m small, and I somehow fit in the middle,” she teased. “If I gain anymore weight I’ll be in big trouble.”

Paula also set the record straight about her reported trouble in the romance department.

“People perceive and misunderstand me completely,” Abdul insisted. “Just because I’m famous doesn’t make me exempt from love. I’m just uber-busy…the schedule provides a lot of area to do other things.”

One thing currently keeping Paula busy is her budding fashion empire. Abdul’s fans have made her a hit on QVC, burning up the phone lines for a chance to purchase a hip T-shirt or a jazzy piece of jewelry from her fashion line.

My name is Charlotte, I live in CA, Bay Area. Back in Jan. 2006 I became paralized on my right side. The doctors thought that I had suffered a stroke, at the age of 32. Thankfully all the test came back negative. However, my nightmare became a reality, I was diagnosed with having RSD. Like you I was a dancer, and very active. I now walk with a walker. I was hoping to hear from you, and get some advice on your current treatment. I will be 35 in April, and I feel like I am going to 90 years old. I sure could use some advice on how you keep it together. I have looked up to you all my life and now I find out my true idol is suffering from the same horrible disease that I am. I met Paula breifly at the Live 8 concert after her two assistants introduced us. Unfortunately, Paula was busy and I was volunteering the VIP tents. I could care less about fame and I too am still looking for my soul mate. We snapped a quick picture and went our ways. If Paula is truly interested in someone that has been around enough celebrities and isn’t intimidated, have her drop me an email. Hi, Pauly i always loved you.. I have thought.. I was watching Extra tonight and notice we have something in commen.. I am attrative 44 year old single women who takes care of myself..It’s very difficult to meet the right man, my soulmate. since you have pull, i had an idea of you having a show for only women in thier forties looking for their soulmate and to get married.. And the reason she slurs her speach ocassionally is that she has broken her jaw in the past.

I am not sure who to tell this to, but I feel it is very important that people know my father in laws best friend, “Lady“‘s story, and needed to get it to some form of news show. I watch you always and hope you will be able to help me get it out. lady was diagnosed with kidney failure just weeks before the story broke about the tainted pet food. My father in law (Frank Mueller) loves Lady and noticed rite away when her urinating habbits and eating habbits changed and took her to see her vet, Her vet diagnosed her and put her on antibiotics and a priscription food called K/D rite away. Lady is doing very well and we are so happy that my father in law was loving enough to take her to the vet rite away! Lady was, before getting sick eating IAMS canned food with gravy, If you would like more info about Lady”s story, please feel free to e-mail me back and I will give you my father in law’s phone number, so he can tell you all about Lady and her near death experiance. I heard Paula Abdul was releasing “Ain’t Never Gonna Give You Up” as a single from her upcoming “Greatest Hits: Straight Up” album. Its rumored to be released with an unreleased bonus track on April 24th. I can’t wait to hear it on the radio! I love that song!

Paula is still my number one. I’m from the netherlands so fortunatly I can’t watch Amarican Idol. We’ve got our own version. But what fun is it without Paula.

Paula Rulezzz and is stil my ultimate fairy-tale prinsess. Hopefully there is gonna be new music from her soon.

I will always love her.
