Halle Berry's Shocking Suicide Attempt Confession

“Extra” spotted the beautiful Halle Berry in Paris Thursday with her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

But this gorgeous, glowing and carefree Halle is a sharp contrast to this shocker she revealed about her past: Halle told Parade Magazine in its upcoming issue that she once tried to commit suicide by gassing herself inside her car.

The big screen superstar’s jaw dropping confession happened after her failed marriage to baseball star David Justice.

“Her sense of self was so low, she attempted to take her own life,” the magazine told “Extra.”

However, Halle stopped short of ending her life as she thought of her mom and ultimately decided she couldn’t follow through.

What’s more, Berry admitted that her second marriage to Eric Benet was “really horrific,” and that they were in sex rehab after the first year of marriage.

Thankfully, Halle has shifted her focus of making others happy to ensuring her own happiness.

And thanks to her entrepreneur/model boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, life has never been better for the brunette beauty.

“Now my sights are set on a different chapter in my life, which is motherhood. That's the goal I have very clearly set for myself," Halle dished.

does this story coming out now have anything to do with a way to downplay Eric Benet’s new album that just came out and his resurfacing in RnB? I hope that Halle is bigger than that petty nonsense. In any event, I am happy for her and her new life, she deserves to find happiness after some of her not so good choices early. This story could have come out at anytime, the timing of this just seems suspect to me. She has no movie or cause, she just had the baby, why is this out now? I am not downplaying its importance, but timing is curious.

Halle being beautiful is a plus, but that’s not all there is to life. I’ve been called cute or pretty also, but it seems like something was missing in my life until I found a closer walk with Jesus and now I’ve have finally found true peace in my life.

Stopping her suicide short for her mother’s sake was a very unselfish decision which you won’t find much of in the celebrity world. Halle seems to have a stronger bond with her mother then someone like Britney Spears dose and who knows what would’ve happened if Halle had attempted to kill herself.

Halle berry you are a beautiful woman but what’s outside is not what’s inside. You are looking for love in all these different men. Find it in yourself first. Just because you are rich you are not always happy. So God Bless you Halle Berry

THIS INCIDENT HAPPEN SO LONG AGO THAT IT IS IRREVELANT TO WHO HALLE IS NOW!!!!!! SHE HAS PROVEN HER SELF TO HERSELF AND NO ONE ELSE REALLY MATTERS!!!!!!!!! LEAVE HER PAST WHERE IT IS !!!!!!!! IN THE PAST!!!!!!! MOVE ON I’M SURE SHE HAS. FROM WHAT I CAN SEE, IT’S NOT CONTROLING HER LIFE. WHY IS IT CONTROLING YOURS?

HALLE NEEDS TO STOP TRYING TO FIND HAPPINESS IN MEN AND FIND IT WITHIN HERSELF BECAUSE BEAUTY IS ONLY SKIN DEEP AND IT TAKES MORE THAN THAT TO KEEP A MAN BY YOUR SIDE AS SHE NOW KNOWS SO SHE MIGHT NEEDS TO MAKE A FEW CHANGES WITHIN HERSELF TO BE HAPPY AND TO MAKE HER MAN EVEN HAPPIER BECAUSE TWO PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT THEIR LOOKS CAN GET THEM ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE HAS A LOT TO LEARN ABOUT LIFE AND RELATIONSHIPS

Now here’s a woman to idolize. My top two include Halle Berry and Jennifer Aniston. They went throught tough times and came out on top. I never get tired of hearing how they succeed at overcomming the bad. And creating Great images. YOU GO GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halle, Pick a man who loves you as a person, not just because of his background or his looks. You deserve a man who will treat you like a queen—not just one who will look good on your arms or give you beautiful children. Any children of yours will be beautiful.

It’s amazing how people believe that being beautiful is all there is to being happy. We see women all the time who are beautiful, but they lack self-esteem and a sense of self-worth. That’s what I pick up with Halle. I agree that this happened so long ago until I can’t believe its just now being reported on, but we need to realize that true beauty comes from within. I hope that she is not depending on this newest man for happiness either.

Halle Berry already talked about this in depth on Oprah years ago. But nice try Extra - thumbs up for yet another display of quality and timely investigative journalism.

Halle, a bit of advice as a friend, don’t cry racism, if people don’t like Gabriel Aubry. They don’t like him, and his political efforts to win their hearts is a measure of the kind of man he is. The proper etiquette of Politics for the woman who stands behind a candidate, is that you stand there in the background and avoid outshining the candidate.

That hilarious. Gabby Abby majored in political science, and he wants to launch his Political career, but he’s not a Politician. That’s a class act.

I wonder why Halle Berry let this information out now? And why bother if she only felt like killing herself, but never went through with this gassing method? And as for thinking this way due to lack of self esteem, as reported, how ridiculous! When other women have far more to contend with and they would not dream of such a thing as suicide.

I think she feels she needs some publicity, and as usual the media jumps up and reports this, when there are far more important events to report, like the injured in Iraq.

That was several years ago. She’s much happier these days.

Halle you deserve to be happy, but Suicide will never take the place of National Pride.
