What Did You Think of Ellen's Oscar Performance?

It was Ellen’s night to shine in Hollywood Sunday, and from the Hollywood heavyweights to the heartthrobs, the stars agree Ellen wore out everyone’s funny bone!

“She was hilarious,” Best Supporting Actress winner Jennifer Hudson gushed.

“She was amazing,” Best Actor Forest Whitaker added.

Even tough critic Steven Spielberg told “Extra,” “I want Ellen to come back next year, and the year after that and the year after that.”

Once the lights faded out at the Kodak Theater, Ellen and girlfriend Portia de Rossi kept the party going at the Vanity Fair bash, where everyone was still raving about her Golden performance.

“It was great, and it was so important to her,” Ellen’s mom said.

“I thought Ellen was incredible,” Beyoncé said.

Even Regis Philbin loved the talk show host, gushing, “There wasn’t enough of her.”

But on Monday, it was back to her day job with “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” coming from the Kodak Theater.

That’s a wrap from Hollywood, now it’s time for you to tell us: what did you think of Ellen’s Oscar performance? Share your thoughts!

Ellen was a class act. she was the class. She looked gorgeous and her outfits were very attractive. Only Ellen can pull that off. The show was too long and not enough of Ellen’s humor.

No Jerry Seinfeld. Hope Ellen will host again. show was slow moving and too long which I blame on the producers.

I thought Ellen was very relaxing, personable and funny. I don’t like controversial humor at the Oscars, because I am interested in the movies and the people who make them, not snotty jibes and off-color humor. I appreciated that overall she tried to take a backseat to the other people and movies the show was about. However,
the pacing of the show was so slow, and the fluff was so annoying, that her otherwise welcome style seemed to play into the pain, not relieve it. OK, the bit with asking Spielberg to take a photo of her and Eastwood for me was hilarous. Bottomline is I would like her to host again, but put a little more energy into it, and please, please get a different director and producer next year and ditch the fluff, like the oscars.com announcer, dance numbers and video montages!

Yes, Ellen did a good job! After all, she is a stand-up comedian and she always does that well. I’d like to see her host again because I think she would “get into it” more. The best ever was Johnny Carson…….and we’ll never see another like him……so in the mean time… bring on Ellen!

Ellen did a great job! It’s the first time I watched the whole show just to see what she came up with. She looked great and was classy. I really don’t like Jerry Seinfeld at all, never wached the show, don’t like his comedy style. I hope Ellen gets to host again next year, she’s hallarious!

Her “I’d hate to be the one to follow that!” got old.

I agree, Jerry Seinfeld was hillarious and he should have hosted! Ellen, wasn’t horrible, but she wasn’t fantastic eithere. And trust me, I am an Ellen fan, but she just wasn’t on top of her game last night.

I think Ellen DeG did a good job of hosting the show, and she’s the first host in the show’s history to ham it up with a vacuum cleaner, which was the funniest part of the show for me.
I hope she’ll get to do the hosting the Oscars again soon if not next year.
She was a lot better than the unfunny performance of Will Ferrell, who really stunk in his performance.
I hope he doesn’t get to sing again on the Academy Awards(the Oscars); he was atrocious. Really!

I think Ellen was hilarious. She’s the only reason I watched. I think they should have given her more time to shine. She looked beautiful!

Ellen……the ONLY reason I watched the Oscars…….great comedic moments throughout the show……although I really thought she would do something big later on like drive by onstage in a yellow mini van and pick up some of the Oscar winners………

She did a great job. She wasn’t into herself like most.

I thought she was boreing and afraid to really go for it. Jerry Seinfield I thought was fantastic and funny. I hope that he does it next time. Ellen was too afraid of offending people and I think that’s what held her back. I also think that she should dress better for the Oscars. It’s too bad that she doesn’t wear some of those beautiful gowns. She dresses so conservative and manly.
This is the Oscars she needs to glam it up some.

She did a “very” nice job. Wasn’t into her self like most other’s have been. She carried it off with class and was funny. Some of the show left a lot to be desired even though it was different.
