The kind of poses seen often on a beach should not cause a problem. But, there should be consistency where competition rules are concerned. I see the worst problem with American Idol, is in having the age limit of 28. It should be judged on talent, not age. As singers mature, gaining experience, so do their voices along with a professional aptitude for choosing songs which suit them best. All of these singers chosen have sung very well on certain songs, but were not all able to keep up that standard, due to their bad song choices, or choice of singing key. The rules of American Idol, need looking at and defining. As in beauty pageants, the best should have an all round high standard, from the first audition. For singers, that means good vocal tone, vocal range and technique, but with the all important personality and image. (The two latter traits can be designed and worked on to a certain extent, with personality being most important after singing ability) Have you noticed how many of the singers can not reach the low notes with strength, and sometimes have to leave out words altogether? Hmmmmm, very bad! But, I declare Melinda Doolittle the winner, certainly the one who should win the competition. From the first time of hearing her, it was obvious, and she has chosen her songs well, to suit her spectacular voice. Melinda has also become prettier each week, and she has the most likeable personality! Although the girls are far superior to the boys this time around, the large man with the annoying hair in the shape of an out of control bush, has the best male voice. His image would need to change a great deal, as he does not look ‘cuddly’ like Rubin, but rather a bit disturbing. Somehow, most of the singers names have not embedded themselves in my memory, any more than their personalities have. This has been a strange and disappointing American Idol, with the judges appearing more bored than usual, no matter what they say. I blame it on them turning away some very good talent at the auditions, I was amazed at their lack of perception on occasions. And, yes, I was a professional singer (with five octave vocal range)and dancer, also an image coach, who used to judge talent contests in the UK. So, Simon (who I like most of the time) Randy, (not much, as his repetitious catch phrases are so annoying, as are his badly shaped spectacles) and Paula (who behaves childishly at times, but is sweet) I know what I am talking about!

Was that perhaps intensional, maybe to discourage the publics opion? This young girl, like all the others must perform under enough presure every week in order to continue. Simon’s actions constantly speak for it’s self! For two weeks his actions and behavior have been clearly rude toward several of the contestants? Last week he made comments and faces the intire time Kelly Pickler performed. Is that a man, who calls himself a professional? Does he or any judge who does these things deserve to be a judge for The American Idol Show? Someones opion for talent is the only thing, but should they be commenting on a contestants personal life or whether they think they should go this week? How can we value Simon’s or any judges opion for American Idol talent, when each week he clearly intends to be so rude and discourage the tv audience toward select contestants?
