Even in death, there is no rest for Anna Nicole Smith, as the battle over her body takes a dramatic turn.

“Extra” has discovered new information that could be a clue as to what killed the former Playboy pinup, as we uncover evidence that Anna may have illegally received prescription drugs while she was pregnant with Baby Dannielynn.

TMZ.com broke the story Wednesday morning, obtaining documents that showed sleeping pills, methadone and Demerol were shipped to “Vickie Marshall,” Anna Nicole Smith’s real name, in the Bahamas.

What is even more shocking is the TMZ.com discovery that Anna used yet another decoy name to obtain a separate package of drugs.

Meanwhile, the war over Smith’s body took legal turns in Florida, California and the Bahamas on Wednesday.

In courtrooms in both Los Angeles and Ft. Lauderdale, it was sweet victory for Larry Birkhead, a celebrity photographer who claims he’s the father of Anna Nicole’s little girl. The judges ruled there was enough DNA samples extracted during Smith’s autopsy to be used in Birkhead’s paternity fight.

But late Wednesday, the Florida judge ruled that Anna’s body won’t be released to anyone just yet.

Anna’s estate lawyer, Wayne Munroe, told “Extra” he is outraged by the war that has erupted following Smith’s death.

“That’s not something I consider to be consistent with human dignity,” Munroe revealed.

“Extra” has also learned that Anna Nicole’s mom left the Bahamas for Florida Wednesday, but not before taking a parting shot at Howard K. Stern on the “Today” show: “It's very hard knowing this man was with my daughter and grandson when they both died. Now he has my granddaughter. I’m very concerned for her safety.”

Stern’s family fired back at the remarks, and for the first time, Howard’s brother, Gary, is speaking out on his behalf.

“Howard is the father of Dannielynn,” Gary Stern said. “My brother is a caring man, he’s a compassionate man. He is a wonderful, wonderful human being.”

I can not believe what is going on it so incredible and I feel sorry for the girl and her family she lived a wonderful life had wonderful beautiful kids and I admire her for that she would have made it bigger if she would have still been here and espesially if her son her support would have still been right beside her

I so believe that Howard K. Stern had more than something to do with the deaths of Anna and Daniel. It is ashamed that Howard would not try to mend the relationship between one mother and daughter. It is also very obvious that Anna was under the influence of something of a foreign nature, therefore a “good and true friend” would have sought help immediately. Its not like they didn’t have the means of doing so. And, is it me or does everyone else think that the bodyguard and his wife are some suspicious characters? Well what ever the case maybe R.I.P Nikki Poo and Danny Boy!!!!!!

what could howard stern really do?if she was determined to take them, what was his options? she seemed like a woman who didnt let anyone tell her what to do. it must have broken his heart to have to watch.
and for her son, drugs were a common thing for him growing up. it was just a natural think to him to take them. its what his life was surrounded by when he was a child. she was irresponsible raising a child around that mess.
too bad she didnt get her life together. i feel bad she didnt.
i know you chose drugs, but i still feel bad about what happened to you. you probably thought you had more time and you werent in a hurry to get it together. i guess none of us knows how much time we have left.

Even though I believe Howard didn’t kill Anna I wish that he would of done more to get her off of her drug habbit. He must of known she was sucidal since she tried it twice. From the interviews on tv, Anna really looked like she was on something. Her eyes were bloodshot and droopy. Thats a side affect from sleeping pills. Why did you do this Anna? :-(
I wish I was there to help. I don’t believe that Anna didn’t have a relationship with her mother. I can tell she was lying about that. Nobody knows you better than your mother. Believe me my mother could tell you my life story without ever meeting me. It’s like her mother said there was too many drugs and I believe they were sleeping pills! What a horrible way to die. I feel so bad for her it makes me want to cry. And what about all these peopel making money off her? What sickos! Especially that dumb guy who gave her the house. Also her sister and her former friends on Larry king Live. What sickos! After all Howard did for Anna you are saying this kind of stuff ? And for money? They are a bunch of idiots. And that one friend doesn’t even act like shes educated! I’m so glad Anna isn’t here to hear all this sick stuff. If she was a friend she would respect who Anna decided to make her as her husband. And she also wasn’t a friend of Annas or else she wouldn’t of put her brother in jail where he belongs.

I think Anna Nicole Smith will be vindicated by a medical cause of death.
As a physician and from what I’ve read, I think she may have died from myocarditis which is an infection/inflammation
in the wall around the heart.

Come On People…Of Course She Died from the illegal drugs that *will be found in her body. She was already weak from being sick with the flu and then had a low immune system since she’d been crying everyday since her son died. The last photos of her show how puffy her eyes were, it looked like she hadn’t slept in awhile. In Her interview 10 days before she died she said Daniel keep coming to her in her dreams and that he wanted her to come to him. I think Anna had a moment and she took it. Anna was constantly around people. I dont think Howard killed her or her son. I think Daniels Death was an Accident He didnt know the side effects of the stuff he was taking. As for Anna she was so depressed nothing mattered but Daniel. I think Anna didnt really have time to bond with Dannielynn since Daniel died 3 days after his sister was born. Every day and every hour her thoughts were of him. I think if Howard had’nt been there for her This would have happened sooner. Her body guard Moe said she was floating in the pool a couple days after her sons funeral so you can see what kind of mentality she was in. Nothing Mattered but Daniel. People are saying Howard killed her… What for? Did You read her will? If he planned this then why not get a new will made he had plenty of time. First will was from 2001. Anna knew what she wanted and did it. If you watch the Anna Nicole Show…Howard was treated like crap. There is no way he had control over her. Anna was a strong woman. I think the mess her mother is starting is a joke, Anna Hated Her! I think Virgie wants the last laugh! Anna wanted to be with Daniel so at least give her that… Lay her to rest by his side! As for all the Men coming out of the woodwork PLEASE…They just want there 5 minutes of fame I think Dannielynn’s Dad is Larry cause she kinda looks like him but I Hope Howard is the Dad! He’s the only one who could really tell Dannie about her Mom And Brother…Howard Loved Anna Thats the Truth! And He Loves Dannielynn They Need each other! He’s all she knows! As for Dr. Methadone Yeah..he screwed up! but that shows you the power Anna had with men! TNA will pretty much get what you want. But anyway I loved Anna…And I hope she is put to rest soon and I hope Dannielynn finds happiness in her Daddys Arms.

Why doesn’t someone ask a doctor and find a EKG (if Anna) has had one and see if she to had a Electrical problem located in the heart called LONG QT SYNDROME. With over the counter meds and perscribed meds, this can bring out and what you would say cause sudden death. I know it happened to me when I took over the counter with perscribed. It passes thru mother to daughter and can pass thru a male child. There could lay your answer. My mother and family worked on me for eleven minutes before rescue arrived and they shocked me three times before a signal of life came back. So, wake up check it out, there may be the answer that everyone wants to KNOW. Because they sure do not care if she is laid to rest in peice by her son.

I have watched this sickening so called coverage of Anna. I do not know her but, I do know what a combination can do. I am a survior and I had no idea how it happened. I wasn’t a drug person, just a single mother that had support from a loving family. If it wasn’t because of my mother and father, brother and my 14 year old son I would be dead. I guess what makes me mad is that this happened to me in November 6th, 2006. It was caused due to a long QT syndrome I had know idea that I had and it is passed from mother to daughter and sometimes it can be passed to a male child. She had everything to live for and not to die. Grief is hard, death is hard but as you say life and death is somthing that is a fact. We see clippings, short stories, keeping people’s minds with what a lawyer wants to do in court and that is (cause reasonable doubt) what is it with people. Everyone has their on site of the story and the real truth will never come out because the person that can say what was real and her wishes to be carried out is dead. I see this person laying on a COLD SLAB while other’s so call care about the well being of a newborn instead of the christian thing to do is lay her to rest. So, everyone that files a judgement doesn’t care about her, they only care about their interest. And I mean interest, $$$$$$$$. A person that loves another or knows what that person wanted, would know that she wouldn’t want to be hacked on and left on a cold slab so other’s can pray that they can have a peice of pie that may never happen. They get paid to speak. Her so called Father has the testicular fortitude to say he sadden to loose a grandson and daughter. He just wanted a little coming out party for himself and his new wife to be. Her mother, give me a break. The photographer, please, give me another break. It has always been known that blood money turns family against each other so fast it is like cancer. NO one gives a rat’s behind that a person cannot even be burried by her son and laid to rest. If she wanted to be with the photo man she would have. If photo man wanted to be with his alleged child he would been. Anna, is gone and anyone that cared about her should leave this alone and bury this poor woman. I know that it is NEWS and brings ratings, but this is a person’s right to be respected no matter what and put her to rest. It makes me sick to read people’s comments on what is fake and real. Until this has happened to you, they have NO clue what it does to a family. NO one can say what she wanted or didn’t without another trying to say that isn’t so, she told me this. But, it is your job to tell all. It is a shame that no one cares about the dead and they can get away with it because there are to many blood sucking, money hungry fools out there praying that they are the one. You give them what they want every time you air the news. You are screwing with a child’s life and her setting her path to heaven or hell. The doctor’s got what they needed, bury this person for GOD’S sake. Not in Texas, by her son. This happens all the time, but if you are not a celeberity no one cares. This unknown does care and I cannot believe that she (ANNA) can be on that cold slab for along time, but I guess that is OK or what her stupid Dad would say OKIE DOKIE or sure nuff. Her mother would say she loved and loved. I guess that is why Anna went to her and lived with her and talked daily and shared Holiday’s. Give me a break. Stop making these people famous. Soon there will be books on the truth. WHAT truth, Anna is gone and the truth with it. People, it sickens me because everytime I see that body bag I say that could have been me. Thank God it wasn’t me, but people need to know that no matter what she deserves to be burried and laid to rest. I know you cannot stop the news but at least show these people that only truth will be told not he say, she say!!!!! God bless Anna and her child and the man that was there for her. Everyone else, has to live with their own guilt and greed.

Curious that documents, photo’s, birth records and videos are stolen from Anna’s last residence right after she died and things like this start appearing in the press. People will live up to or down to our expectations. Who’s to say Anna did not say to hell with all these reports, if they are going to accuse me I might as well as be doing what I am accused of?

As far as Stern is concerned we all know people cannot be saved from themselves if they do not want to be saved. There will be a time, or a window, when they are not watched, in which they will take that opportunity.

Stern refused to allow their commitment ceremony be a real wedding as Anna initially wanted. He knew she was too fragil after losing Daniel. He did not receieve any money for his interviews or for his representation of her in trials. He will be damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t speak out.

So far what he alledges appears to have been fact. He alledged her items were stolen and looked toward the disputed owners of the mansion Smith lived in. A Few days later the disputed owner and his son admit they stole the items but instead of giving the items back to Stern to keep for Danielynn, they “say” they handed them over to local police. If that is true then why are these seemingly mysterious items surfacing in the media? Are we to believe that a local trusted police department is in cahoots with trash magazines for a profit?

Stern knew Anna could not stand her birth Mother and wanted to be buried next to her son. Time will tell if Anna’s own wishes as revealed in her own granted interviews will be honored or if her remains will be handed over to the one woman who caused her so much grief in her childhood.

In the meantime we can all bet we will see these stolen items go to the press for the highest bidders, while accusations fly against Stern- few stop to see who is really profiting behind the scenes.

This is yet another tragedy in the making. Stripping Danielynn from the only man Anna wanted her child to be with could just prove to be the set up for another death from yet another victim the media helped to create from this mess.

Will the public who is buying all the garbage rumors get it then? I doubt it.

So far the allegations against Stern can only be linked to actions Anna took herself. Indeed he could have forced rehab but to what outcome? She can easily sign herself out then estrange herself from him too. He could have forced her to go to the hospital where she would have had access to many more drugs. If someone wants to die they will find a way. He was trying his best to do whatever it took to bring a smile to her face. Buy a boat, get the house ready for the baby, commitment ceremony etc. All the while watching her and doing whatever he could to help her through that trying time.

He could not stop the lawsuits, he could not stop her estranged family from making outrageous allegations based on only their opinions and no facts. He could not stop the media hounds who were beholden to their fellow trash magazine reporter Larry Birkhead. Nor could he stop Anna from trying to harm herself.

Each of those players from Birkhead, to her estranged Mother, to lawsuits over Danny, to lawsuits over Trimspa, to lawsuits over Marshall’s estate, played a role in tearing Anna down further when she was already at rock bottom from losing her son. Will they get equal blame for driving a woman to her death? If a majority of the trash press get their way all those things that had nothing to do with Stern will squarely be placed on his plate.

Will any of those players be made to take the same blame they place on Stern when he is driven to a break down and suicide?

I think Howard is responsible —— and why would he leave Anna Nicole in the hotel room by herself, knowing she was so sick. Doesnt sound like he truly cared about her to me…..I hope that Larry is the baby’s father and I hope that he will never let Anna’s mother see Dannielynn —- she doesnt deserve it. Also I think it is absolutely horrible that Ford Shelley and his classy family went into Anna’s home and stoled her personal items. I suppose he made himself feel better by turning over some of the things to the sheriff here in Conway, SC ( near Myrtle Beach, where she visted these “friends” ). I soooo wish they would go to jail, along with Howard.
