Denise and Richie's Battle Against Cancer

Celebrity couple Denise Richards and her boyfriend of 10 months, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, are sharing a secret and painful battle: each star has a parent that is currently fighting cancer.

“My mother has cancer and Richie’s father has cancer,” Denise told People magazine at Tuesday night’s GM Ten fashion show, held at Paramount Studios in L.A. “It’s hard. Thank God Richie and I have each other not only to go through divorce, but to go through both our parents being ill.”

Richard’s 4-year marriage to “Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen officially ended in November, while Sambora split from blonde bombshell, and Denise’s best friend, Heather Locklear last year.

While the coupe has remained mum on their love, Richie dished this to “Extra” in November, “Obviously we’re doing very well right now”

I agree with Ameline. I’ve never liked Denise as an actress but I have to say she’s impressed me as a woman.Being a celeb didn’t keep her from living her life as a woman,wife, mother and daughter. She has all my respect for that. And I’ll keep her and Richie’s families in my thoughts in these difficult times.

Denise has been in far worse situations than Britney has, yet she isn’t the one shving all her hair off and dropping in and out of rehab, ignoring her kids and whinging to anyone who will listen about how bad her life is and the big bad media.

Denise had two kids closer together than Britney did, she had Charlie going psycho and even getting physically abusive with her, she had the glare of the media as everything tumbled down around her (FAR worse than Britney) and then faced up to the wrath of both Heather and Charlie, only to then be hit with the news that both her and her partner’s parents were battling cancer. THAT’S tough, Britney has just behaved like a spoiled brat looking for attention. Somehow she has everyone feeling sorry for her and Denise is treated like the devil incarnate. AT LEAST DENISE’S KIDS KNOW WHO SHE IS.
