CBS Offers Morning Show Segment to Anna Nicole Judge

It appears that Florida Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin’s dramatics during the Anna Nicole Smith case have paid off.

Seidlin’s assistant, Joann Gallo, has confirmed that she has been screening at least 200 phone calls a day from network and TV recruiters.

“He has gotten a mind-numbing amount of interview requests from all the big names and top shows,” Gallo shared.

One network in particular is courting the once obscure probate judge – now famous for commanding the spotlight during the dispute over the custody of the body of the late starlet, Anna Nicole Smith.

CBS is reportedly creating a new segment for its weekend “Early Show,” featuring the quirky, charismatic judge.

“I have been extremely impressed by your compassion in the Anna Nicole case, and I would love to discuss with you the idea of being a judge on a new segment, ‘Morning Justice’,” Michael Rosen, the show’s senior producer, wrote in a letter to the judge.

Seidlin would neither confirm nor deny the offers, simply stating, “It’s inappropriate to talk now. I’m focused on the case. I’m just focusing on the case.”

Florida Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin’s action in his courtroom was totally “OUTRAGES” and “UNPROFESSIONAL”. Talk about milking the cameras. But hey, it worked….What a joke!

This was the worst judge I have ever witnessed in the court room. He exerted no control over the actual subject of “who would get the body” and his careless demeanor in the court ran Anna’s reputation into the ground further. The needless testimonies he “allowed” in that court room had nothing to do with what he had jurisdiction to rule on.

Even Judge Judy sticks with the actual subject she is to rule on. We don’t see her asking stupid questions or allowing people to throw out damaging, unfounded, “hearsay” to be left as a matter of the public record unattested. In her court on less serious subjects she still allows nothing to be said or admitted in the court docket that has NOTHING to do with the subject matter. THAT is the judges’ job. To follow the laws of the court and maintain order.

This judge tried his best to insert himself into all aspects of Anna’s legal issues for fame and limelight. He even had the nerve to try and tell the California judge he was “taking over” the custody case.

His nonstop ramblings about himself, his life, and his stupid opinions made what should have been a simple proceeding last FAR longer then needed. I got so sick of hearing him talk about himself that I started to mute the TV when he would start to speak.

He wanted a TV show before he ever got Anna’s case. Sent a tape of himself to many media outlets with what he deemed as “highlights” of his previous proceedings.

We have to wonder if the participants of those prior court cases knew thier rights to privacy were being violated and their former judge was sending thier likenesses to media outlets who could have aired their cases on TV?

He doesn’t need to be rewarded with a TV job for doing a nightmare of a job from the bench. He needed to be reprimanded.

Jane’s comments remind me of an SNL skit - Jane, you ignorant sl … .!!!
The man (he no longer deserves the title judge) is a joke - he should be disbaarred. The Floridians continue to make an a.. of their state.

I think every one is coming down so hard on this judge. He is a man first who had one hell of a decision to make. He is being criticized for showing human emotion. Another thing that really bugs me is how people say he took to long to make a decision. He had a lot of facts to go over to figure out who was really there about Anna Nicole and not her money. I wish these people that are whining so much, would first try to put there on self in his shoes first and maybe they could see just what this man had laying on his shoulders. I hope he accepts an offer. He’s got my vote.

That’s a really huge waste of that show’s time.
Don’t they have a different way to use that airtime instead of that whole crap concerning the judge handling that Anna Nicole Smith case?
That judge guy doesn’t need to become an instant celebrity.

Well, he is entertaining, you have to say. I think he wasn’t so much trying to be as people accused him of, but he really is entertaining. I also think the case was handled well by him.

Great!! I think he did an excellent job and showed human compassion during a very screwed up mess of a case. Everyone involved used and abused her and she was so messed up and out of it - tragic human story.
