Hi!

Does anyone know anything about what happened to this contest? Did it really happen? Could someone post here so we know that the contest really took place? Or could it have been postponed?

I’ve been checking both the show and here to see if there are any new announcements with this contest but haven’t seen anythihg but then, maybe I still missed it.

I know they were supposed to tape the show on April 12 with the contest winner and maybe just not aired the segment yet.

Does anyone know anything at all about this contest?

I interned for two college semesters at KUSI News in San Diego, Ca. My hard-work paid off when the producer offered me a production assistant position as well as going out in the field intern reporting for fun. I have hands-on experience: writing stories, editing, preparing scripts and teleprompter, etc. I also have LIVE on-air experience, preparing and doing interviews, introducing weather, and pre-recorded tapings for my resume tape. The best news-room experience is to help coordinate the show, welcoming celebrities, entertainers, and musicians.

I have great references from a well known Director and on-air personalities in San Diego.

I am a true social butterfly by nature. Have been running a successful business for seven years, and I can interact with all levels. I seem to have this ability to move a room. Example… I went to dinner at an restaurant and for the 100th time, where no one was talking or doing anything, I opened myself up and within 5-10 minutes the room was engaging in fun. This happens everywhere I go. REALLY. I believe it takes a certain personality for a super star to feel connected. I am balanced mentally, physically and most of all emotionally. Extra! Extra! Extra!!!! I have always wanted to be a host on television and told my aunt Jackie that I would love to work on Extra after watching the show the first time in 1995!

I am now a Lieutenant in the Army stationed in NC and still get excited at the thought of being a correspondent or host on your show! I have done some voluntary hosting for events and television and would love to be back in Vegas living one of my dreams of working on Extra!!!!!! I’ll be in Vegas Memorial Day Weekend on vacation because that is how much I love the city, but I would love to come earlier to work for Extra!

He left me for someone on the internet, younger too.I lost everything because I couldn’t pay for anything,disability doesn’t give you much. Hey extra. I live in a small town in NC right now but got a little taste of big city life in NY for a year. Now i’m back home working in the charlotte, NC night life. I have always wanted to go to Vegas and as good as I am with any type of person you could put in front of me I know I would take that job to new levels!!! I’m hoping for the best!

I love this show. Hello all you beautiful people. I too am a Las Vegas resident like many of the applicants. I want to show the Extra viewers just how fabulous Las Vegas truly is, and you cannot do that unless you live here.
I want the Extra viewers to know what the locals do if they want a different experience of Vegas, and I also want to show them the strip’s hot spots. If you want to showcase Vegas you have to give the viewers a taste of all that Vegas has to offer. I am looking forward to sharing the true magic of fabulous Las Vegas.
