Hi Dayna,
I am your girl. Full time working Momma married to a Mr. Hottie Pants high school teacher with the cutest 21 month old son you’ve ever seen. I’m a former television news anchor turned high school English teacher turned Executive Aide to a County Commissioner.
Come to the bustling metropolis of Port Saint Lucie, FL - live the exciting life of local politics and entertain my awesome boss who dreams of one day becoming your babydaddy. ;)
And in return, I’ll begrudgingly spend the day with Mark McGrath and all the celebs - living it up with all the glitz in high entertainment style.
You do a great job and I would love to switch places with you - give me the chance and I’ll make you proud!

I am the one to pick because my girls will melt your heart! I am 29, I have been on my own since I turned 18. I was married at 20 (and have been married ever since). At 23 I had the first of three children, 24 the second and 25 the third. 2 years ago I became a full time student, in addition to having two of my own children in school - YIKES! I drive 1 hour to and from the girl’s school 3 times a day (two mornings a week I work there - just think this could be you Dayna!). I am thankful for every minute. I however, have never had an adventure of my own. While my friends were recklessly living their youth, I was being a responsible wife and soon, after mother. I think this would be a great opportunity to do something for ME! Not to mention a great adventure for the ever glamorous Dayna Devin!

Here I’am Dayna, your sub for the day. I’m a stay at home mom; who would love a break form my day to day routine. I have three sons who have never even had a babysitter. They would think I was the coolest mom if the host of Extra came to our house for the day. So, I say come to New Jersey to meet the sweetest boys ever. They are fun, loving and smart. Wyatt, the oldest will help you out with his younger brothers Maverick and Nash.

I am graduating college in May as a communications major. My dream job is to work as an entertainment television host, so when I saw this opportunity, I knew it was something I could not pass up. I believe I posses the qualities and skills to be a great host for the day and I hope that you will pick me! It would be a great stepping stone into my future communications career!

I kid you not, but earlier today while driving, I was thinking about Mark McGrath’s career, and was wishfully thinking that I would have loved that career path…you see I was (am still, occasionally) in the music industry for 15+ years(thus, the big haired head shot attached)…my kids think the “1984” song by Bowling For Soup, is about me (no, I don’t still wear a snake skin mini-skirt, though); then life took over and here I am wife/mother in suburbia. I love all things entertainment; music/movies/theater/arts. I still’clean up good’ and have spent time infront of a camera. I would LOVE to have this experience, and my kids and neighborhood would be WONDERFUL to Dayna!!

It’s Marina from the windy city, a fresh-faced newly turned 30 year old, professional gal who runs her own Advertising Media Department. However, the moment I step through the front door of my greek home everything changes. My kooky roomates are my mother Fanny, my father Achilles (named after the Brad Pitt character in Troy), and my big brother Tom. My mom still picks me up daily from the train after a late work night and asks “why are you not married yet?” and “where are we going to find him?” (yes she says “we”). My father actually prefers that I live at home for eternity and never get married. Then there’s Tom… the 32 year old king of the greek household who claims he will never leave his throne, and quite frequently states “with that irritable behavior who would want to marry you?” Numerous people have commented that my life should be showcased on a reality show because it is so similar to THAT greek movie (you know which one I am referring to), however, we don’t use windex for every ailment, we don’t have athenian marble statues or a roasted lamb on a spit out on the front lawn, and we got rid of the plastic on the couches years ago!
Dayna, you would have so much fun hanging out with my mom as she teaches you how to become the perfect greek wife-baking sugar cookies that only require 8 sticks of real butter, ironing all the laundry including dad’s underwear, cleaning my brothers tragic room (I would wear gloves if I were you), and all the while not missing a single deadline at my chaotic ad agency.
Now, I can’t promise you that everything will go off without a hitch on the Extra set but I give 150% into everything that I do. I love everything celebrity and I can’t help but run into one wherever I go! The icing and shining star on my actual 30th birthday cake on Jan 13th was yours truly the talented, sweet, and funny Mark McGrath (see pics). I must disclose that I have almost all of season 1 and 2 of Mark’s Extra career recorded and Dayna I even try to pose like you in every picture I take (one hand on the hip is a must)- I call it my “Dayna” arm pose. Dayna please give me the moment to walk in your sexy Stuart Weitzman’s, that 1/2 hour experience will be with me for a lifetime (and hopefully distract my mom long enough to keep her from setting me up with the car mechanic’s son)!

I AM THE ONE TO PICK, DAYNA, AND HERE’S WHY: I am a thirty-something mother and wife who had to lay aside her CAREER AS A REPORTER after I was diagnosed with the incurable auto-immune disease, Crohn’s. Being a reporter was my passion and joy, but after I gave birth 3 years ago to my daughter Paris Rose, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s and had to have major surgery within 3 months of initial diagnosis. Since then I have focused my energies on raising my daughter and national awareness about Crohn’s disease and other auto-immune diseases. I would love to go back to reporting, EVEN FOR JUST ONE DAY, and to use my time to BRING ATTENTION TO CROHN’S AND OTHER AUTO-IMMUNE DISEASES. Crohn’s is incurable, but those of us living with it are undefeatable and have a strong joie de vivre. If that’s not enough, I’m also a military wife with a husband serving our country. I HAVE THE EXPERIENCE, THE DESIRE, THE PLATFORM AND THE AMERICAN DREAM. I’M THE ONE, DAYNA!!!

Hi,

I would love the opportunity to trade places with Dayna, but would she??? My life is a whirlwind. Working full time, mother of 2, trying to keep up with the laundry, groceries, bills, driving the kids to their lessons, still whipping up a healthy dinner (most nights) as well as spending some quality time with my hubby and trying to enjoy life. That’s a day in my world….wonder what a day in Dayna’s life could be like?? I can only imagine, premieres, interviews with celebrities, meetings with stylists, a personal trainer, …Oh, I can only dream (but I am sure Dayna would be quick to tell me that she probably does some of the same tasks day to day that I do too). Our lives are probably not all that different, except that mine lacks a bit of that Hollywood glamour that I long for and watch every evening on Extra.

Maybe Dayna would enjoy spending some time in the country hills of Connecticut. Breathe in the crisp, New England air, take in the snow-covered scenery. Go sledding, ice-skating and skiing with the family. Sound tempting Dayna???

I’d love to do the Freaky Friday switch-eroo, given the chance. However, I’m sure, in the end, I know I would be happiest here at home. Would love to be given the opportunity, so PICK ME, PICK ME!!!!

Hi Extra,
I would love the opportunity to “Life Swap” with Dayna! I have lived A LOT of life already in my 34 years. I got pregnant with my first child at 16 and by the time I was 21, I was divorced with 2 kids. I was a single mom for 6 years. I put myself through school, and started a career. There is so much press right now about teenage pregnacy, but I have lived it. I am very proud of all that I have accomplished. I did get remarried about 6 years ago, and we have a 5 year old together. I have always dreamed of what my life would have been like if it had taken another path. Please allow me the opportunity to see what my life would have looked like if I had gone down another road! Give me the chance EXTRA!!!!
Looking forward to your call!

WANTED: Dayna Devon to come see how to live like a true Texas girl in the small town of Saginaw, TX! There is no one that knows more about Hollywood and Entertainment gossip than me in this small town and I would love to prove that to you! Thanks to Extra I have been able to survive every night in this place so far away from the lime light! I have waited for an opportunity like this to come up for years now and I can honestly say that I am the perfect girl for the job! Outgoing, charismatic, and infatuated with who’s with who, couples rumors, and gossip on Extra, rest assure I can get your job done! The only question is can you handle mine? Living in such a small town with no excitement can be quite a task when you have a husband who cannot tell you where anything in the kitchen is and is totally reliable on you for everything! Give me the opportunity Extra to switch lives with Dayna for a
day and you won’t want to let me go!

I would really love the opportunity to host Extra. I live in Texas and there’s nothing more real than a day in the life of a mom from TEXAS. I have 2 kids, a spouse, and a mother that lives with us. There is never a dull moment in my household and several of my friends have joked about my life being a great reality show. I have always wanted to be a sports caster but never pursued it. This would be an opportunity for me to see how the other half lives. I don’t have any horror stories or heart warming stories to try to win you over, I would just like a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes at Extra. I’m a “Real” person with a “Real” life, family, and job. Give it a chance, a little dose of REAL goes along way!!!

I didn’t know that I wouldn’t have an opportunity to EXPRESS why I should be CHOSEN for this AWESOME opportunity when I submitted my information, so I thought I would EXPRESS through this message. I really do hope that the PRODUCERS of EXTRA are able to SEE why I would be the BEST CHOICE for this ONCE in a LIFETIME chance. As I said in my submission, I work @ two jobs. I do EVERYTHING on MY OWN without MUCH HELP. I feel that MY STRUGGLE is my DRIVING FORCE to CONTINUE when it seems like I CAN’T go on. I watch EXTRA when I’m NOT @ work. It does sometimes get OVERWHELMING, but it’s what I have to do. My car was TOTALED on HALLOWEEN, so now I have a BIKE as MY RIDE. I was able to LOSE WEIGHT through INDIRECT EXCERCISE, so I CAN’T COMPLAIN. I LOVE making people SMILE, and MY TWO jobs ALLOW ME to do that. At Sonic Drive-In, I’m a skating carhop. I would love to see Dayna do it. The reason is that it’s so much FUN! I’m also a checker @ HEB. I LOVE jobs that ALLOW me to INTERACT with people. Now, it’s NOT EASY, but it’s a GREAT WAY for me to make MONEY until I’m making BIG GIRL MONEY in the REAL WORLD. I’ve ALWAYS been a person that people GRAVITATE to. If I were given the HOST position for a day, I PROMISE that I would ROCK it. It’s MY OUTGOING personality that people LOVE! I hope that I’m the AVERAGE DAY AMERICAN that gives Dayna a chance to REALLY WORK HARD as I ALWAYS do. THANKS for OFFERING such a GREAT opportunity.

I am the perfect girl for this job. Who dosen’t love a Greek girl with her crazy big fat Greek family? I assure you Dana having me swap lives with you would probably be halarious. Member Toula’s father from the movie? He does not do justice when it comes to my dad. He is a loud stubborn, yet funny and charming Greek father, My house is always loud and insane yet its normal. Greek people talk like their yelling, Im sure having it on your show would be a complete riot. You would also be saving me from my oh so insane life. If anyone needs a break it is me!! Does anyone know how it is to live with straight off the boat european parents?

As much as you love them you wanna kill them sometimes. But to be honest I would not change them for the world!! Despite the fact that my life is ever so insane, they are my family. I work at the most intresting Maggianos than you have ever seen. Sometimes Mr. Jerry Springer himself dines there, you might just get to seta him.I also have some of the most intresting teachers ever, there pretty wacked out and insane. I promise you my life is not only a intresting one but a very unique one.
Dana you would LOVE the life and day of being Maria Tambouratzis the loud crazy greek girl.

Since I was a little girl I dreamt of being in the spotlight. I got into college to study journalism, but was told that the department was full. I foolishly settled for another course hoping to switch after the first year. Unfortunately for me my life took a cruel turn before I could fulfill my dreams. A night out with friends turned out to be my biggest nightmare, after experiencing a brutal rape. I couldn’t deal with it so I dropped out because of shame, fear and depression; I truly regret not pursuing my dreams. I wish I knew then what I know now. I feel embarassed sharing this openly online, but if it gets me an opportunity to be Dana for a day, I am sure it will be worth it, just to live my dream for a day.

How much fun would it be for both Dana AND me? TOO MUCH! As a mother and wife, to get out of the daily routines and madness and experience something totally different would be amazing! As a professional dancer and business owner, it would be quite an expereince for Dana, too. A day in our lives would look something like this: Up at 6:30 to get ready for work, get the kids up and off to child care, be to the dance studio by 8:30, field telephone calls about dance information, train teachers to dance, keep husband on his toes (because he is the dance director), coordinate marketing, sign pay checks, pick the kids up by 5:30, have dinner ready by 6:30 to sit down and watch “Extra” (of course), get the kids down by 8:00, prepare for the next day and get ready to do it all over again. What would be so great about coming to our house? It would be such a fun expereince. My husband and I love to have fun and absolutely love working together. So, not only would it be replacing me for a day, but, Dana would get to hang out with my husband all day (He’s much like Jim Carrey with Latin motion!). So, Dana, please switch lives with a working mom and professional dancer for a day! You’ll love it!

Hi Dayna, my name is Annabelle, I am from Belgium. I met my husband 10 years ago and we live in a little town called South Bound Brook in NJ. We have a 4 years old little girl Mackenzie, a 7 years old little guy Kenny and a 16 years old stepdaughter Stephani.
I want to tell you why you should switch life with me even for a day. I lost my husband 4 month ago from a heart attack. It was a Captain for the New Brunswick Fire Department. I am a stay at home mom. Between school, ballet, tap, Karate and other practice, coocking, laundry, shopping, homework,… I do not have to much time for myself. My two kids are everything I have left and they are wonderfull, you will have so much fun with them. I need a small break and I will love to take your place even for a hour. My husband was a wonderfull man and being a FireFighter you will see how warm and helpfull those people and there family are. I volunteer also for The James D´heron Memorial Foundation, Inc.The Foundation has been established to raise funds and awareness in order to help all of those who have fallen victim to fire and to the Connecticut children burn camp. Jimmy D’Heron was my friend Erin’s Dad who died saving 15 peoples in a fire 4 years ago. My husband and Jimmy D came on the job togheter and was very good friend. I hope you take me and my life in consideration so me and my kids will for even one day put behind our sadness and smile at a better tomorrow.

You need to look no further, DAYNA, AND HERE’S WHY: I am a thirty-something husband with our Yorkshire Terrier, Missi. I am a speaker and trainer and I look great in front of the camera. I was an extremely sly boy who overcame my fear of public speaking while in the United States Marine Corp. Now I show others how to overcome their fear of public speaking through my workshop “Speak Like a Pro in a Day.” My goal is to make difference in the lives of young people by showing them how they can overcome their fear of public speaking. But the main reason you should pick me is because my wife and I have been married for almost six years and I think this would be a great opportunity to give her a break. I know she would love to hang out with Dayna and show her the sites in Hot Atlanta. This would truly be dream come true for me and to top it, I would LOVE to hang out with Sugar Ray.

Give a student a chance to experience her future career!

I deserve to trade places with Dayna because there really is nobody that even compares!!!! I am a hard working college student at SDSU pursuing a degree in Journalism. It has been my life long dream to work in entertainment/news as well as radio. As you know, this field is difficult to break into and I NEED YOUR HELP to build a resume.

You will never meet a harder working student with such an intense passion for her dream. Although I do not have children or a husband to keep up with, my puppy Peanut will keep you plenty busy between classes. Not only would you be making THIS college students dreams come true, you would be able to inspire so many other Journalism students to keep pushing to reach their dreams!

Pick me and you will not be disappointed with my natural talent in front of the camera and my ease meeting high profile individuals!!!!

Hi, I’m Alexandra and not only is watching Extra every night at 7 a tradition of mine, but it has also been a dream of mine to work in the broadcast journalism field. Dayna Devon’s career is my DREAM JOB! I did the announcements and daily news when I wasn’t cheerleading throughout my high school years. The reason you should choose me for life swap is because I just gave birth 4 months ago to the most beautiful baby boy! He is certainly a blessing. However, motherhood may in fact be the world’s toughest job. I am also in college working towards my bachelor’s degree. My goal is to break the stereotype that teen mothers have ultimately thrown their lives away. My own mother is a recovering cancer patient. It’s been tough living in fear for her life over the years. Thankfully though, she has won that battle and she’s healthy and more beautiful than ever. However, a single day to fill Dayna’s shoes would be an amazing gift after the year I’ve been through. I’ve got a face for television and the personality to match. You will not regret choosing me for Life Swap!
