Nick Lachey on His Relationship with Vanessa

From hot cars to hot clothes and even hotter stars, “Extra” has your ticket the ultimate GM event where Mario Lopez, Petra Nemcova and Jay-Z all hit the runway at the GM show in Detroit.

Super sexy Carmen Electra also cruised the catwalk, as did Christian Slater, who revved up the crowd.

But it was Nick Lachey who really kicked things into overdrive, and only “Extra” got juicy couple’s news from Nick as he dished about his very public make-out session with girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo on MTV.

“It’s New Year's Eve, it's midnight, you want to kiss your girlfriend,” Nick said. “We never made it a secret that we were together.”

So are Nick and Vanessa in love?

“We don’t get into that,” Nick said.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z’s mood was far from blue at the event; GM just named a car color after him, appropriately titled Jay-Z Blue.

“It’s good to be me right now, it feels good,” Jay-Z admitted.

While the stars soaked up GM style, the super sexy Mario Lopez took Carlos Diaz behind the scenes for an up-close and personal look at GM style.

“I get to wear Dolce and Gabbana, whic is one of my favorite designers,” Mario dished.

Also rocking the GM catwalk was “Dreamgirl” Jennifer Hudson, who told “Extra” she’s living in high gear after receiving a Golden Globe and SAG Award nomination.

“I woke up crying yesterday morning thinking of all my blessings, and just saying thank you God,” she confessed. “Because everyday is a new surprise.”

Meanwhile, Hollywood veteran Christian Slater had a few words of wisdom for young stars like Britney Spears on avoiding some of the pit falls of fame: “Keep your shorts on!” he joked.

I love Nick & Vanessa together! They make such a cute couple. Vanessa is perfect for him because they share a lot of the same interests, unlike that high maintenance & unintelligent Jessica Simpson. Here loss though.

Rebound relationships usually don’t work out. I too think that Nick and Jessica were very sweet together, but that is not enough to keep a marriage together. No one knows what really caused the breakup. While I think Nick is the hottes guy around and he seems like the perfect guy with a down to earth personality, none of us have to actually live with him. Now I am not saying that he is bad, because I do not know him personally. I am just saying that no guy or girl is perfect and I have been in relationships where everyone thought my guy was perfect but they did not LIVE with him. Keep that in mind before you judge Jessica to harshly. She is not perfect either. No one is. I would love to see them work things out tho, when they both mature a little bit.

I so agree with you Rita! It really appears that Nick is happy for now! Although, if things change, I hope Nick doesn’t do anything to sacrifice his true happiness at the expense of Vanessa or anyone else! Nick, you are one in a billion, find someone who you truly deserve to make YOU happy!

I’m glad Nick is happy. I hope he takes his time in deciding to marry Vanessa. Will she still love him if his career is not as productive as 2006 and hers progresses? I like the fact that she makes him happy, but I have some reservations about her. I would hate to see Nick’s heart broken and I also don’t want to see him in a position where he will do anything to make her happy at the expense of his own happiness just to avoid another failed relationship.

I think nick and jessica made the perfect couple not that I have a problem with vannessa it’s just they were so so cute together I know he still loves her get your girl back nick.

I am glad Nick’s happy he is so much better than Jessica, I’m not sure about Vanessa b/c I don’t really know anything about the girl but I have a weird feeling about it but I think it’s cause I want Nick all for myself!!! I’m sure Jessica is kicking her own a@# everyday for letting that one go he is the cat’s meow!! And now anyone she hooks up with is never even going to come close to what she had with Nick!! I mean just watch the Behind the music episode on him and you instantly fall in love with the guy and she had that for life and she f@#$%d that up!!!

It’s not about whether she is a nobody or somebody. She makes him happy, and that’s what matter. They make a cute couple. I hope it lasts. Kudos for you Nick & Vanessa!!! lol

Nick had a broken heart and Vanessa helped repair it! If Vanessa was on the heels of Nick and Jess, she was just doing her job. Vanessa is a beautiful girl and I am both happy for her and Nick. Also, I am sure Jessica can’t believe Nick’s good fortune. Jessica let her father rule her life instead of looking out for her own happiness - She blew it!!!

i think vanessa shouldn’t be on any newsmagazine anymore since she’s with nick lachey because i think she should be ashamed of herself. when jessica and nick were together she together with her newsmag reporters were always on the tail of nick and jess relationship being kaput and were always looking for dirt

I like Nick and Vanessa together, but I sorta agree with Heather, Vanessa was a NOBODY until him. I think it’s crap she’s getting so much fame because of him. But they are cute together. He’s happy so that’s good!

I love Nick Lachey,
He’s such a sweetheart and had his heart broken in 2006 so he enjoys to have some happiness in his life. I would love to have a man like Nick..
So loving and caring..it’s jessicas lost..and a big loss it is..

I think that Vanessa is just using Nick for the fame. She was really a nobody besides a VJ. Nick will realize sooner or later thats all she wanted him for. He and Jessica will reunite this year.
