This is a really stupid decision, and I’m sure the network will end up regretting it in the long run. Passions is the only soap I really watch… (or younger people for that matter) so… congratulations NBC. I hope you’re happy.

I do not think canceling a show like Passions, that the 18-32 age group loves, to make room for a fourth hour of the Today show, is a good idea. Who does NBC think is buying all the products that are being advertised. I can promise you it is not my Grandma, who watches Today, it is people like me, who watch Passions. NBC tried the fourth hour thing before, and it failed, as I am sure it will do this time.

I completely agree. A 4th hour is absolutely ridiculous. I love Passions, it’s the only soap I watch. I can promise I will no longer watch ANY of the Today show in protest. Good Morning America is my favorite news show anyway and I see no reason to even check in on NBC anymore.

Very disappointing that the Powers That Be at NBC are not concerned with our opinions.

I hope NBC likes 4th place, because that is where that will remain with the cancelation of Passions. It’s only going to be down hill from here! You have really pisted off a lot of viewers, and you don’t even know it yet. But you will!

The Today show doesn’t need another hour. And if they do get rid of something else, but DON’T GET RID OF PASSIONS!!!! I love PASSIONS and have watched every single show since it began in July of 1999. It is my absolute favorite show on TV.

Who in the world is going to watch The Today Show for 4 hours!! Who has four hours in a day to sit and watch a news like show… We have that and the local news… Wow, that is just toooooo much! I love Passions, and that is the stupidest move you could EVER make by taking it off the air and replacing it with an extra boring hour of the Today Show…. its not going to decrease its ratings and then that show will be canceled as well…. I am sure people now dont even watch the full 3 hours…. I just cant imagine watching something for 4 hours, a movie is all I can take and that is only 2… Please do not take our soap off the air! NBC will have no viewers after this, I am sure of it!

I’m pretty much done with NBC - passions was the only thing I watched and some of its commercials hooked me into new shows, but not anymore. I am so upset that this was cancelled just to accomodate another hour of today…but let’s hope a new station is smarter than NBC and takes the soap. I guess this is why ABC and CBS have all the ratings - they actually keep their soaps on air.

Seeing How passions was the only think I watch on NBC. There is no reason for me to watch NBC anymore. You just lost one viewer.
