Meet 'Idol's' Newest Nonsingular Sensation

Meet Ian Benardo, the mouth that roars even louder than Simon Cowell’s, and who shocked the judges when he scolded Judge Dread in front of 30 million viewers Wednesday night on FOX.

“He threw me out of there after I started singing,” the wannabe “Idol” complained. “Because he’s a moron.”

When the Bronx, N.Y., native was quickly shunned by Simon, he spouted, “Who are you? Do you even have a working visa?”

After leaving his “Idol” audition in a tizzy, Ian became the talk of Hollywood on Thursday, and “Extra” has him enjoying every bit of his 15 minutes of fame.

“People recognize me everywhere I go,” he told us. “People are asking me about what my next career move is.”

So, what does Ian plan to do with his “Idol” fame?

“I really want to be a talk show host,” he revealed. “I really believe that I can be the next big American sensation.”

Ian got collagen just before he lipped off on national TV, but he confessed to “Extra” that Simon is not the only one who didn’t appreciate his performance.

“My father is humiliated; it’s horrible right now,” he admitted.

But was the humiliation worth it? Well, since we’re listening, I guess so!

Ian had just one thing left to say to Simon before we parted ways: “I should take his job because I have more witty things to say.”

Ian is one of the main reasons why most people in the United States look down at New Yorkers. He defintly gives us fellow New Yorkers a bad look and thats not cool at all.

No one paid any attention to this guy when he auditioned on “So you Think you can Dance” Why pay him any attention now?

I hate him. And I hate people like him. And I hated his audition. And I hate how he talks.

What a New Yorker! He’s obnoxious, but a riot that only an East Coaster could appreciate.

I think American Idol is a very made up show like wrestling is - all phony. Thank God I do not waste my time viewing any of it and that arrogant guy, Simon, is just as full of himself as the Donald is here in Manhattan. When are we going to get some GOOD variety shows with REAL talent?

Maybe you should give some airtime from Idol who may have a shot at a singing career with another venues as opposed to those like Ian who should be on medication.

Just look at the recording, (the latter part) where he says, “I want this job, I have more witty things to say.” He is not gonna do any better than Simon.

You guys have got to be crazy giving him (Ian) all that air time. These are ppl who intentionally audition for AI hoping to get through so that they can TRY and humiliate Simon. His intentions for being on the show has been successful, for the meer fact that he has clearly said that ppl are gonna start calling him to be on tv is a clear indication that he is only doing this to get fame.

There are ppl out there who can actually sing and auditioned for Idol but did not get through.

He refers to Simon as being the do-do bird, well i think he shoud call the National Geographic Explorer Channel and check himself in.

PS: There can only be one William Hong. lol

This guy is a diluted piece of garbage. Who cares about him and his 15 minutes of fame?

I think it was nice that the guy got a little fame.
Those judges are real hard.
But some people know if they cannot sing they should not try out for these things.
I just happy for the guy that he had some fun on TV.
Others should just see it as a joke and don’t take the guy 15 min fame to serious

How can you put a looser like that on TV again? That’s exactly what this looser looking for. It’s outrageous. I couldn’t help but to switch channel. I hope you don’t pull this sort of stunt often. Then I may not be watching your show anymore.

I just wanted to say, this is the 1st time I’ve ever said anything on something like this…but…Why put Billy Joel’s rich a$$ wife on TV talking about makeovers? I’ve been to perscriptives…it’s nice, but come on Extra!! And I thought this website would have a place for viewer comments! You guys have tons of $…get your website designer to fashion a “button” for comments. I love the show & keep my eyes on Hollywood, but c’mon! I’m educated! There are some out there who watch your show & aren’t. Geeze! I don’t want to stop watchin you guys, there are a few others on at this spot, but this show promted me to talk. I guess I just feel that tonite’s show made me feel stupid for watching. It made me feel like it was a waste of my time. This is the epitome of me seeing them trying to dumb us down!!!! I’ve said my two cents.

Couldn’t agree with the first commenter any more.
It’s a tragedy and a mockery of the entertainment business that this annoying reality show reject is getting as much publicity as he is (though not a whole lot, it’s still too much).
He’s a joke, and needs to get over himself.
Please, don’t give him the light of day anymore

I’m so sick of these sore losers! They go in to the AI auditions, with little or NO talent, then complain. They usually single Simon out, when its clear that all the judges think they stunk. Stop giving them mic time!

I can’t believe we were subjected to this person on your show tonight. I saw this obnoxious person when he tried out for “You Think You Can Dance”. He was annoying and completely obnoxious then and I have no idea why they gave him an audition on American Idol. Now you have given him the extra TV exposure tht he was looking for. I can;t stand to look at him and I changed the show for awhile until I knew he was off.
