'Grey's' Wins Big at SAG Awards, Isaiah Doesn't Show

It was a who’s who of Hollywood’s hottest stars Sunday night at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, as ABC’s hot docs reigned supreme.

The cast of “Grey’s Anatomy,” led by Chandra Wilson, had everyone talking when she took the stage after winning Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, and jokingly took a jab at the conspicuously absent Isaiah Washington.

“It’s about those 10 other cast members sitting over there and the other one in rehab,” she said, quickly correcting herself with, “I mean you all.”

Only “Extra” was with TV’s top docs as they stepped off the stage after winning a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

While they weren’t doing group interviews, Chandra went one on one with “Extra’s” Tanika Ray, who inquired about her acceptance speech.

“What did you say about that guy in rehab? You are going to start some mess today,” Tanika said.

“I have no memory of that,” Wilson joked. “We need to laugh about something, so lighten up!”

As the “Grey’s” cast celebrated their win, a new report surfaced claiming that T.R. Knight, the target of Isaiah’s gay slur, may quit.

But on Monday, ABC told “Extra” the story is not true.

On the red carpet before the big show, the cast told Tanika and our Jerry Penacoli that the on-set mood has shifted from critical to recovery.

“You know, we love drama,” Ellen Pompeo joked.

“There was a wrench thrown in for a few minutes, but we’ve moved on,” Justin Chambers chimed in.

But the “Grey’s” drama couldn’t darken a Hollywood dream night.

Best Supporting Actor Eddie Murphy gave us the scoop on his hot new girlfriend, Tracey Edmonds, whom he thanked during his acceptance speech: “Thank you, Tracey, for fixing everything.”

But will there be wedding bells for the gorgeous couple anytime soon?

“Oh no, slow with that, slow with that mama!” Eddie said.

Jennifer Hudson was also basking in victory Sunday night, after picking up Best Supporting Actress for “Dreamgirls.”

“I’m just a little fish in a big old pond,” she said. “They noticed me! It’s like, ‘Hello! It’s little old me here!’”

TV’s favorite “Ugly Betty” proved ugly is in, as America Ferrera reflected on her rocket ride to stardom with “Extra.”

“I was in New York City doing an off-Broadway play,” Ferrera said of where she was at this same time last year. “I swore to people, ‘One of these days you’re going to see my face on a billboard!’”

Alec Baldwin took home the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, and he went on rumor control with us backstage.

So is it true that he’s turning to the online dating world because of dating woes since splitting from ex-wife, Kim Basinger?

“No, that’s not true,” he said. “I don’t need to go online dating anymore.”

Teri Hatcher confessed that all the attention wasn’t her idea of a perfect day. Rather, she prefers a casual day with beau, Stephen Kay.

“We were just saying all day how we’d rather go for a hike and see a movie,” Teri said.

“Grey’s Anatomy” starlet Katherine Heigl and her fiancé Josh Kelley were all smiles on the red carpet, and they dished wedding news to “Extra,” as Josh tried to convince us he’s helping with the plans.

As for rumors that Eva Longoria will marry her prince charming at a castle on July 7th, the beautiful “Housewife” said don’t be fooled!

“There’s all these reports; we have done nothing,” she promised.

Mommy-to-be Jaime Pressly, who proudly showed off her baby bump in Badgley Mischka, introduced “Extra” to her fiancé, Eric Cubiche, and the proud parents-to-be broke baby news to “Extra!”

“It’s a boy,” Pressly confessed. Desi James.”

Chandra Wilson made and execllent speech when she accepted her award paying respect to all her co-workers including Isaiah Washington. Chandra was brilliant when she mentioned the one in rehab, read between the lines people she is not taking sides in my opnion she appreciates both TR Knight and Isaiah Washington they are her co-workers. Katherine need to think before she opens her mouth.

Oh, that’s too funny. I totally forgot about Katie Heigl’s sex interview. I remember at the time thinking “TMI, honey, TMI. No one wants to know those details about you except maybe stalkers and perverts.” We can forgive her inappropriate comments and chalk them up to her youth. Although, even my mid-late 20s I knew better than to discuss my sex life with strangers. lol

I’m pretty ambivalent about Ms. Heigl and her character. Izzie is often too immature and, coincidentally, judgmental, for my taste. But, now that I think about it, maybe that’s the actress rubbing off on the character. By being so judgmental and unforgiving, Ms. Heigl may be setting herself up for some harsh judgments herself. I guess time will tell.

Chandra Wilson was delightful. She definitely deserved the award. And all of the cast needs to thank the likes of her and Sandra Oh (last year’s SAG winner) for getting them the ensemble award. There are a few very strong actors on that show and a few very weak actors who are lucky to work there with them.

The problem with Katherine Heigl is that she won’t let it go. Classy people just say things like, “we are working togther to move past this.” She says she doubts he will be successful in his attempts and she’ll believe it when she sees it. You’ll notice that other actors aren’t bad mouthing their co-workers. She needs to learn from them.

And to the person who suggest that IW may have been unkind to her, if he had, I’m sure we’d have heard about it by now. She keeps no secrets. I remember several months ago she went on and on in an interview about how much sex she and her boyfriend/fiance were having. Yeah, she’s a very classy girl.

Chandra Wilson would be a good role model for her. She was beautiful and professional. Sandra Oh, too. They are the best actors on that show and in interviews they represent the show well.

Wow. This is like the OJ case all over again. I had to stop reading the other comments because there are so many spelling errors it was painful. The writers below should spend more time learning how to read and write. And Kudos to Katherine Heigel for having the guts to speak out because no one else did. Bad behavior and bigotry is bad behavior and bigotry no matter what color one’s skin is. I’m glad she called Washington on it.

katherine heigl is actually a very sweet girl, outside and in. did any of you consider that maybe Isaiah has treated Her bad aswell (not just TR) and maybe that could be a reason why she has spoken out about him? don’t say bad things about a person who is brave enough to say when something is wrong!

katherine never said she won’t forgive isiaiah! She just said that is behind T.R and that she thinks it is positive that Isaiah is in rehab. Isaiah is bringing his own career so dont accuse Katherine of doing that!

I am writing to voice my opinion on the Isaiah Washington/Grey’s Anatomy so call scandal. I think this is really rediculous and should be put to rest. When I think of all the problems that exist in this world and all Hollywood can think is this. My advice to TR is grow up and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Isaiah Washington has apologise, he is now in rehab for god sake, what more do you people want? he’s blood. I personally don’t give a fig about a person’s sexuality. I am truly ashame of all these people, especially Katherine heigl. Although I applaude her for standing by her friend but I was also disapointed in her.She was asked on another show wether or not she forgives Isaiah, and her answer was no. Well my advice to to her is be very careful, for you are now in the limelight, try not to make any mistakes, for you may just be the one who needs forgiveness. Now is the time to start the healing before it is too late

I am writing today to voice what is just my opinion and I am sure many in the African American community. This Grey’s Anatomy- Isaiah Washington comment. So what that he made a comment of his opinion regarding one of his co-star being gay. Who cares about someone being gay! You open yourself up to criticism when you tell the world of your sexual orientation… Why does the anyone need to know that? Persons that prefer the same sex don’t deserve any less criticism than any one dating the opposite sex. I do not appreciate the smear campaign that is going. I say so what!
Part of the problem is that homosexual if that is “PC” try to compare themselves to those of color and the adversities that they are faced with daily and it is no where near the same thing. Them and their sexual escapades and African Americans being called out because of the color of their skin 100% different. The world is not shunning caucasions everyday of their lives for being racist… Now that is something to strive for! One last note, stop telling your sexual business and people will stop commenting on it!!!
