ABC to Take Action Against Isaiah Washington

In light of the recent controversy surrounding “Grey’s Anatomy” stars T.R. Knight and Isaiah Washington, ABC tells “Extra” today:

"We have had a long standing policy to create and maintain respectful workplaces for all our employees. We dealt with the original situation in October, and thought the issue resolved. Therefore, we are greatly dismayed that Mr. Washington chose to use such inappropriate language at the Golden Globes, that he himself deemed 'unfortunate' in his previous public apology. We take this situation very seriously, and his actions are unacceptable and are being addressed.”

Why would anyone put up with this creep for disrupting the show, fighting with other people and just being disgusting while making a lot of money. Who is putting up with all this nonsense? GET RID OF HIM!!!!!!!

I have to wonder what would happen if this happened to a christian? Would the media be making such a big deal about this kind of situation? Or would it get pushed to the back of the news because soo many people would be up in arms calling for an apology or to fire the person who made the comments? I don’t think he should be fired, he has already said he is sorry so let it go. Just because he has upset 2-8% of the american population doesn’t mean that it’s big news, it is still wrong, but not such big news. And Rosie can’t seem to get into the news enough to please her so it seems that she has to give her two cents on anything and everything that might get her ugly mug into the news so she doesn’t feel left out of the idiot fights.

I THINK THE ONLY REASON YOU PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT LETING HIM GO IS CAUSE HE IS BLACK AND WE ONLY HAVE A FEW CHARITY BLACKS WORKING SO YOU CAN DEAL WITH THAT SO LET HIM STAY HE IS A GREAT ACTOR. WE R HERE TO STAY AND LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU USE THE N WORD CAUSE YOU ALL CALL HIM THAT ANY WAY CAUSE YOU ALL R RACISTS

NO DO NOT FIRE IAIAH. He is perfect for the character of Preston Burke. The show would not be the same without him. It was an unfortunte remark but too much is being made of it. The media spends too much time on what’s politically correct. He has apologized, move on.

Why does the media not rush to judgment when Queen Oprah makes the statement, “I do not feel that I have to appease white America.”? Why does anyone give credence to the blatherings of untalented, vacuous loudmouth Rosie O.

The man said something which he should not have. Then he apologized. Amen!

Attention all you people who want Mr. Washington fired: Where is all your righteous indignation of when it comes to violence against women in rap songs, in movies, music videos, etc.

In the grand scheme of life, this is a tempest in a teapot. There are much bigger offenders, hate mongers and downright dangerous people out there. Raise your voices against them. Of course, it’s much easier to gang up on one apologetic man. Geesh!

If the situation were reversed and T.R. Knight had called Isaiah Washington the N word, would he be fired? The only reason I say fire him is because of his volatile past and the fact that he is not taking responsibility for his immature and disgusting actions. I don’t care if he’s a good actor or not. I’m disgusted by him.

Don’t even think about firing him. I love this show and watch ever show. If they fire him over a misunderstanding I would never watch the show again. He is a wonderful actor and plays the part of Preston Burke very well. He can not be replaced.

DO NOT FIRE Isiah. I really enjoy him on the show, it really wouldn’t be worth watching if he wasn’t on there anymore. He made a mistake, he is only human.

I believe Isaih. Why would he risk his job again. It is hard to be accused of something you didnt do. It was probably weighing on him. Had he been a white guy, no one would be calling for his job. I bet many black actors have had this experience but it has not been publicized. America is still not equal to all people. Blacks always and will always get the short end of the stick. Fat Head Rosie ODonell made the “ching chong” comment and she is still on the view judging people. Such hipocracy.

I think if Isaiah Washington says he didnt do it,(he probably didnt do it) it probably bothered him that he apologized to appease America (to keep the peace for others and not for himself). I think this is just another tactic to find a reason to give someone else a job on a hit show. He plays an integral part in the show. I love I. Washington and hope that ABC will stop being stuffed shirts ‘good ole boys’ - we already got one in office that obviously did not learn what the word ‘integrity’ in from his wealthy upbringing or Harvard education. It’s time, even Hollywood, to change and stop having that egostical power and slave master mentality when something happens with a black actor/actress. We know that conflicts go on everywhere with others’ and no one is contemplating firing. Please ABC be fair.

Do not even think of firing Isaiah! He is a wonderful actor and I would be really disappointed if he was not on Grey’s.

Every black man is not O.J.Simpson. Why is it everytime a black person do something it’s totally taken from a mister meaner to a 1st degree murder? What is the difference in what he did and what Mel Gibson and Micheal Richards did? The gays can’t compare themselves with the struggles of the Black Community. I have meet so many prejustice gay people and the only time they can see me as someone that has a importance is when someone has called them out or is bulling them. Give a brother a break….master!
