It’s unfortunate this matter has been blown out of proportion. Washington should NOT be fired.

He shouldn’t have even mentioned the incident (especially during the ocassion). That wasn’t the appropriate place to do so.

However, he is entitled to his own opinion. We all are… But to even try to EQUATE this incident as the same as the Michael Richards use of the “N” word is RIDICULOUS!!! As an African-American woman I can assure you that the most offensive remark made by Richards was not his use of the “N” word, but his reference to “50 years ago he would have been hung with a fork up his a**.” That was HATEFUL! And is this incident does not compare simply because the person making the statement is a Black man. Let’s not confused the two.

Plus, I read thru the comments and believe EXTRA has inaccurately reported the percentage of responses (90%)overwhelming for Washington’s dismissal. That is NOT what I discovered on this site. So, the media is hyping this issue and misreporting the facts. There were many duplicate postings on this site. They need to reexamine the comments and report the correct status.

Wait, didn’t this guy have a fist fight with another member of the cast not long ago? Well, he is a trouble maker, and it is time for him to take consequences of his own actions. There are tons of other hot, talented and descent actors want his job. It wouldn’t be a shame to see him go.

Being unemployeed myself right now, I hate to see anyone loose their income, even actors. But I wonder if his job was not on the line, if there EVER would have been an apology? It is shamefull that as a blackman, he has any predgudic in him knowing how that can effect someone very deeply. I applaud T R for coming out but he was actually “outed” by this entire thing. ABC is owned by Disney who is very gay friendly and only hope they will take the proper measures, being it fired or writing him into less shows for a while. That alone for an actor would distrub him and let him set around to think what was done, and worry about his future on the show. Ha ha. Ok, I’m evel.

The only thing worse than a self righteous conservative is a self righteous liberal. the deal of being Politically correct and having racial tolerance is bull. How someone treats a person is more of an indicator of who a person is, than what comes out of their mouths. Which is why black men are pulled overwhen they are driving nice cars or why most christians are ready to condemn all gays to hell and the country doesn’t want them in the military, or why most of you would grab your purse and travel to the other side of the street if you saw a black man and were alone. the majority of americans are hardly in the position to condemn anyone for what they say especially when their actions pretty much say the same thing.

The fact is that people don’t mind their own buisness, and the person who leaked this juicy tid bit to press behaved in a very juvinille manner. and have totally ruined these two men relationship. For me to run to my bosses everytime my co-workers made disparaging remarks about gays I would be doing it about once a day, usually I chew them out and move on with my life. To compare what Washington toMicheal Richards tirade is crazy. Richards using the N word would not have bother me as a black women it was the fact that he acutally made it seem as though he thought the lenching blacks was funny. Washington simply denied having said a word that is not the same as using the word in a hateful and slandering manner. the only person who Washington needs to apologize with is Knight. As a black man he should have never allowed something like that to come out of his mouth because those who have been discrimated against shouldn’t discriminate. However GLAAD is becomeing like the NAACP and needs to quit the petty behavior. Just like everything isn’t about race, everthing isn’t about homophobia. Unless the people at GLAAD are in Grade school they should know that what washington said was not aimed at anyone and was denial of saying the word and not using it. Just like every special intrest groups they have become so full of themselves that they actually believe they get to cause the shots in moral human behavior completely over looking that christians don’t vuew them as moral in any way shape or form, and if they aren’t careful in another few years when the we love gay people fad is over white, middle class america is going to be tired of the the self righteous BS and start to ignore them rendering them ineffective in a real injustice. Tolerence is just that, and when you start to chafe the masses, they tolerate you no longer.

I am truely going to be ticked off if this causes Grey’s Anatomy to go off air. this is the first decent show I have seen on network tv in almost 10 years. the cast has chemesty and getting rid of Washington is not going to be as easy as alot of people think it would be. As I said be for TR Knight is the victum, he has to go into a work place where he doesn’t feel comfortable and the Media has done more to cause that then washington ever has.

Isiah, as a black man, no doubt has faced his share of predjudice. This alone should have taught him long ago that stereotyping and name-calling are unacceptable in the world in which we now live. I do not believe Isiah should lose his job, but I would sincerely hope he has learned a lesson.

I believe Isaiah should be fired. There is no doubt that what he said was disgusting. However, the fact that he lied and denied his actions on national TV swearing that he never said it, is unacceptable. Had he apologized immediately after the first incident, then we’d cut him a little slack. Instead, he chose to make a spectacle at the Golden Globes and lie. This is not a person that can be trusted with anything he says.

Kuddos to T.R. for being so professional and continuing to work under these circumstances.

No he should not be FIRED. Both of those actors where great in the part 2 conclusion. That show will take a big drop in its ratings if he is fired. He and Sandra OHH, make that show perfect.
