ABC to Take Action Against Isaiah Washington

In light of the recent controversy surrounding “Grey’s Anatomy” stars T.R. Knight and Isaiah Washington, ABC tells “Extra” today:

"We have had a long standing policy to create and maintain respectful workplaces for all our employees. We dealt with the original situation in October, and thought the issue resolved. Therefore, we are greatly dismayed that Mr. Washington chose to use such inappropriate language at the Golden Globes, that he himself deemed 'unfortunate' in his previous public apology. We take this situation very seriously, and his actions are unacceptable and are being addressed.”

If the situation were reversed and Isaiah was called the “N” word by T.R. wouldn’t you want T.R. fired? I would! Even though this is Hollywood, the set of Grey’s Anatomy is a place of employment. You just can’t say whatever you want to a co-worker because you are angry. Discrimination in any form should not be tolerated.

There needs to be more thick skin. Why
cheat the rest of us of a great character because he called a spade a spade. It is none of our business what goes on behind the scene. I had a dear gay friend that his gay friends
showed pictures of their drag games at his funeral. I know he was so private. Some things just need to be kept behind the scenes. Let them fight it out and get rid of the thin skin and be a team. All the rest of us working stiffs have to be team players with people we don’t necessarily hold dear.

NO Isaiah should not be fired. Once again the media has reared it’s ugly head and are now campaigning against Isaiah. Isaiah is an articulate, intelligent and assertive black man…I’m sure that is itimidating to those who are insecure. Isaiah has a LARGE fan base out here as well and he is our DR. MCFINE!!!! So…if they fire him, trust me, there will be those of us who will NO LONGER watch Grey’s Anatomy. I wonder what “unflattering” names Isaiah has been called since this controversy has started. I understand Isaiah is not on Grey tonight…so I will not be watching….without him the show has no character and not worth watching. Particularly since George’s character is so boring and predictable! So who really shoud leave??? NOT ISAIAH!!

What was said Mr. Washington will have to answer to God for his actions. It is not my place to judge nor anyone else’s. He said he was sorry so move on and get a life. I don’t think he should be fired he is part a team and should remain that way. The press and George needs to let go and move on, if anything George should be let go for not letting things ride.

I can hardly believe any person in show buisness would make such a remark as Mr. Washington. If a co-worker had called him the “N” word they would have already been fired. It’s the same thing, bigotry. Yes I think he should be let go.

No Isiah Washington should not be fired. If T.R. Knight is going to chose to be gay (which is a sin and an abomination, read the BIBLE and see) then he should be ready to reap the consequences. It’s a word can you not overcome it, are you that weak? People get called things all the time get over it grow up what are you 6 T.R?

What Isaiah Washington said is just as bad as using the “n” word, which would not have been tolerated. Why should what Isaiah Washington said be tolerated?

I think Mr. Washington should keep his job. Who cares whether the guy is gay or straight—he is still human and one of God’s creation. I enjoy the show and feel that it would indeed be adversely affected with Mr. Washington’s departure. The only reason a person should be affended is when what is stated is not true. If the truth hurts, maybe its is time to take a long look in the mirror and determine what really exists…

Isaiah should definitely not be fired. I’m beginning to wonder if America is a “Free” society…???? There are so many things people are not allowed to say. Yet on “American Idol they can say whatever they want. Grey’s Anatomy is a success because of all the characters. The characters work well together. Washington is a great actor. Fire him and you will see the downfall begin.

The sucess of the show has a great deal to do with Mr. Washington and TR for that matters. Watching Ellen today, it does not appear that TR wants Mr. Washington fired. I do not think Mr. Washington should be fired.

Let the show move on.

Leave Mr.Washinton alone he is Mr.McCoCo
SEXY. He is a good Actor and I don’t understand why he is being picked on for the 2nd time. It is wrong for people to feel that he should loose his job I feel that RACE is in the Mix. If it was not for that smart Afro-American creator none of these so-called other Actors on that show would not even have a Dam JOB, OK, OK PEACE OUT. WE LOVE MR.WASHINGTON AND YOU BETTER LEAVE HIM ALONE HE IS FINE MCCoCo SEXY THAT IS MR.WASHINGTON he is tell DARK and SEXY.

PEACE

I think Mr Washington is a major part of the show and if he goes I probably won’t watch as much, I’m disappointed that my favorite show has so much turmoil. Just get over it…

Isn’t TR the one who came out that he was gay? Did anybody care before he came out? Why does he feel like he is so special? I say get over yourself TR Knight. I don’t think Isaiah should be fired. I wouldn’t watch Grey’s Anatomy with just the current batch of whiners. I think the show needs MORE color, not less.

Isiah Washington needs to be FIRED immediately. He was given a chance back in October. He blew that chance when he denied what he called TR on the Golden Globes. It was the wrong place and time to raise that question. He should know better then to call people names he is an adult for petes sake. ABC needs to FIRE him.
