I don’t condone calling anyone names but I don’t see why this should be grounds for him to lose his job. There is too much double standard in this society, especially by the media. Many questioned, if someone had called Mr. Washington or Ms. Rhimes the n—— word they would be fired,not true, there would be more excuses than ever and would go as far as to say it was a mistake, and did not mean it. Why when a black person does or say something it gets blown out of proportion and is always grounds to get rid of them. Well, this type of injustice no longer amazes me….I guess we have come a long way…..ha! Anyone watched the view lately?….well, why not get rid of Rosie? gues she is allowed to do and say as she please…right? He should not be fired. It is time for the cast to get along and act as adults.

We have already decided not to watch the show again until Mr. Washington leaves. It is a great show, but there are plenty more choices available on my cable box.

I’m disappointed in Mr. Washington’s inappropriate comment to Mr. Knight. It was purposefully hurtful and so unprofessional. A sincere public apology as well as a one-on-one apology is in order. This incident has certainly tarnished Grey’s Anatomy.

If the situation were reversed and Isaiah was called the “N” word by T.R. wouldn’t you want T.R. fired? I would! Even though this is Hollywood, the set of Grey’s Anatomy is a place of employment. You just can’t say whatever you want to a co-worker because you are angry. Discrimination in any form should not be tolerated.

I think that a comment like that is not worth him losing his job. Even Jesus was talked about and was spat on and he was able to move on with his life. Everyone (including the victim) has made comments about others that maybe we shouldn’t have, but life goes on. Get Over It All Ready!

No, he should not be fired!

NO Isaiah should not be fired. Once again the media has reared it’s ugly head and are now campaigning against Isaiah. Isaiah is an articulate, intelligent and assertive black man…I’m sure that is itimidating to those who are insecure. Isaiah has a LARGE fan base out here as well and he is our DR. MCFINE!!!! So…if they fire him, trust me, there will be those of us who will NO LONGER watch Grey’s Anatomy. I wonder what “unflattering” names Isaiah has been called since this controversy has started. I understand Isaiah is not on Grey tonight…so I will not be watching….without him the show has no character and not worth watching. Particularly since George’s character is so boring and predictable! No!!How come everytime an African-American actor, actress or public figure says something, it is always taken directly on its words, disected in detail, and they are ‘judged, juried and executed’ by the ‘powers that be’ but when a situation like the kid on MTV’s ‘Real World’ can call another kid a n****r, everyone is appalled, BUT understanding of his ‘missed-education’ of ‘other’ peoples and they are willing to be very ‘understanding’ and ‘forgiving’ for that. The double-standard IS STILL in affect!

He should of said I didn’t call TR that name instead of actually saying it. Burke is one of the characters of the show. I would hate to see him go. His character is just as big as everyone else on that show.
Can’t we just set things aside for once and let things go. We just need to stop talking about it. I love everyone on that show equally. He shouldn’t loose his job over something stupid.
