Brandy's Deadly Car Crash: Listen to the 911 Tape

“Extra” breaks news on the deadly car accident involving R&B star Brandy, as we heard the frantic 911 calls made just seconds after the four-car pile up.

The witness tells emergency response of a “bad, bad accident; I think one of them rolled.”

It’s been one month since the deadly crash, which started when Brandy rear ended a car on L.A.’s 405 freeway.

So far, nobody has been charged, leaving many to wonder if Brandy is getting the celebrity treatment.

The California Highway Patrol told “Extra,” no, Brandy will receive no special treatment.

Rather, the case is about to be turned over to prosecutors.

“We hope to wrap up the investigation by the end of this week,” CHP revealed.

My heart goes out to the family of the lost. Brandy on the other hand was probably on the cell phone or doing something else not paying attention or in a hurry to get to where she was going. sorry she should not get special treatment she should still have to pay for her crime, all the stars always get off, just because they are famous. Not fair at all everyday joe blow would have to serve jail time, without the life of luxuries……..

I think that it was a mechanical problem on Brandy’s Ranger Rover. I owned a brand new 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Westminster Edition that I bought in Beverly Hills (The same Model and Make that Brandy owned). About 2 months after I purchased the SUV, I drove to Scottsdale, AZ for a weekend to visit my partner. We were both in the SUV at about 11AM on the 17 freeway in Phoenix, AZ and traffic started slowing down. I attempted to hit my brakes, but my RANGE ROVER wouldn’t stop! I tried to cancel the Cruise Control button and the car kept accelerating!!! I then shifted my engine to neutral and the car began to slow down! I ended up driving in the emergecy lane for about 2 miles before the SUV stopped. My partner called 911 and the police arrived to the scene about 5 minutes after…When they towed my car to the Land Rover dealership in Scottsdale, the mechanics found NOTHING wrong! They sent it back to The Ford Motors Company and they concluded the same thing, NOTHING was wrong……I think that her SUV had some type of problem with her brakes. When she took it to Land Rover to have it looked over (after the accident), they weren’t going to find anything, just like in my case. They thought that I was making the whole story up….Wether or not it was a malfunction on the SUV, the victims family should receive compensation for it all. The victim that was killed was working 3 JOBS in order to feed her family! This is a very tragic loss! I hope that it all Works out for everyone.

I Love you Brandy. I know that you didn’t intentionally cause this horrible accident. I think your insurance should cover the expense and you should be able to continue with your life because you will always have the family’s affected by this tradgedy in your heart and on your mind. Accidents happen everyday and that’s all this was a horrible accident. I’m praying for you gal keep your head up!

I don’t feel that they should be sueing Brandy. Had it been an everyday Joe or Jane that caused the ACCIDENT they wouldn’t sue. I feel they are just sueing because it is Brandy and they know she has some kind of money. It is unfortunate for the death, but it is unfortunate that people are taking advantage of someone who is only human.

Well, you acquire insurance in case there is an accident but there is really nothing you can acquire for the mental or physical trauma and anguish that is the result of it. God heals the hurt and yes, there will be some for a very long time. As far as the family suing, they suffered a tremendous loss and should be compensated. Maybe the money will be put towards a very worthy cause, children’s education, whatever it’s used for, it’s deserved and fitting. Both sides will need a lot of prayer and counseling. The family loss a loved one and Brandy’s mental capacity has to be a little tarnished right about now. I’m not comparing the two losses, there is no comparison; because certainly, Brandy still has her life but let’s be mindful of the aftermath when such a horrific event as this takes place. Let’s pray, not judge and wait until the facts have been “proven.” It doesn’t matter who is at fault. What’s most important is that they be able to heal and learn, in time, to live with this tragedy. Don’t forget about the CHILDREN!! You never get over it. To the family, I say, God bless you in this very difficult time. Seek Him and some Bible-based counseling to help you heal. And to Brandy, I say, don’t replay that day over and over in your mind. It happened and you can’t change it. Do the fair and right thing and God will help you heal mentally. Let’ show some mercy you all. Without grace and mercy, where would we be?

I think this is all very nice but has anyone even relaized that god does not make mistakes. It was not a life stolen god called her home this is an appointment we can not miss, it can not be rescheduled. It was her time to meet god. If she had been home in that hour she would have still be called in a moment in a twinkling of an eye. My thing is to sue someone because god called your love one home is silly. All I can say is to just pray and let go and let god. and to the family of the deceased if you sue someone just out of anger you are no better than a theif stealing from a neighbor, no good will come out of the proceeds. So my advice is to ask the lord for direction and peace in all of this. God not money will help you through this trying and difficult time.

i think that the only reason nobody’s been charged is due to brandy’s celebrity. if this was any regular person they would have been charged already. i think brandy should get sentenced like a normal person and hay if she gets charged oh well she KILLED some one wether or not it was accident some family’s life is turned upside down thanks to her so thats my opinion

Brandy was in the wrong, with the accident, but this comes along wiht the territory of being famous. All of you are saying why is she being sued???Why do you all think she is being sued because she was being careless. You all know that if it was your family you would do the same. Why should that child grow up with out a mother, and Brandy lives happily ever after. No she needs to pay for what has happen.

You know what people have been using the word “accident” like if it means it’s okay and there are no consequences afterward. It’s an accident when a baby falls out of a window, it’s an accident when a child gets scalded by hot water in a bathtub also, should the parent/guardian/person watching those children be punished? The reason why we have car insurance is because of “accidents”. And if you’re at fault, your insurance pays for it or u pay out of pocket,,but you also pay when ur premium goes up….Depending on the circumstances surrounding the accident, that’s pretty much ur punishment. An “accident” does not mean nothing happens to the person that is responsible. If that was the case then we’d all be having careless accidents and not caring about the consequences.

You know what, even though accidents happen, some of them can be prevented. When you’re driving behind someone, you’re supposed to give yourself enough time to slow down in case of a sudden stop or anything else. I don’t know what she was doing at the time of this accident, but if she was obeying the rules of the road, this accident could have been avoided. It’s obvious she didn’t have time to slow down her vehicle and/or was not paying close attention to the vehicle in front of her, so that caused the collision. Even though accidents happen everyday, the guilty person needs to be punished/responsible for the accident. If this was a non-entertainer they would give her some type of punishment. Maybe not jail, but something would/should be done. Someone is dead because of someone elses carelessness….that does count for something.

first of all accidents dont just happen, they are caused!! however u shake, twist it, it was brandy’s fault.dont get me wrong i dont think she meant to hurt anyone and i believe no one can punish her more then she is punishing herself right now!so i think they all need to pray and believe that god will make things work out the way they should!!

Right, it was an accident. People shoot other people on accident everyday, but they still deserve to be punished. It was poor judgement on her part, who cares if she’s famous, she deserves to be punished like the rest of us would. My heart goes out to her and the victims families. But, if this victim were family to you, I’m sure you’d have a different point of view. She didn’t just HURT this person, she was the cause of this ladies DEATH!

My best friend and I were in the car talking about this yesterday and we came to the conclusion that even though the word accident is used heavily in this tragedy, that’s exactly what it was,and accident. She wasn’t under the influence of any alcohol or drugs so why are they suing her? Could it be on account of negligence? Who knows but I feel like the lawsuit would not have been brought against her if she were an average Jane and I’m sure that the deceased family member would want closure and acceptance, not revenge. Brandy, being the compassionate woman and mother is taking it hard as well. I feel for the family but as bad as it sounds, money will not bring her back. You can’t put a price tag on family. That’s as simple as it is. Hasn’t everyone involved taken enough anguish for this horrible accident?
