Bindi Irwin Takes On the Big Apple

Bindi and Terri Irwin are taking their very own “Amazing Race” across the continental U.S.

As part of G’Day U.S.A. Australia Week 2007, the Crocodile Hunter’s leading ladies are on tour and sharing stories about their beloved wildlife warrior, Steve.

“The only time I saw him really afraid was at our wedding,” Teri recalled. “The wedding day was the day of terror, sweat dripping off his fingers. He was shaking like a leaf. It was a beautiful thing. He even wore a tuxedo; it was the only time ever he did it!”

Now America, and Hollywood, are falling for the lovable little Bindi.

“When they see you sing and dance, doors are going to open,” Terri told her daughter.

So is moving to L.A. on the horizon for the Irwin clan?

“I really like Australia,” Bindi said. “Australia is my home, I got to say.”

Only “Extra” was backstage with the Irwins after Bindi charmed David Letterman.

When asked what Bindi means, she told the late night comedian, “It means ‘young girl,’ and when I came out of my mom, she just said, ‘Bindi,’ straight up!”

The Irwin gals even rolled out the welcome mat for our A.J. Calloway, with an invite to the land down under.

“Come to the Australia Zoo, and we’ll throw you in with everything!” they promised.

“Oh yeah, come on, we can surf,” Bindi added. “Yeah, I'll teach you.”

I, too, am looking for the Wiggles tour info that was stated to be on the site from the Extra show and cannot find it anywhere. Where is it that we are all seeking it and can’t locate?

Where’s the Wiggles tour information?
Am I just missing it or isn’t it here as was stated on your recent broadcast?
Not good policy to broadcast something if it isn’t true. Might make your viewers question your ethics…. I.E. Are the rest of your stories authentic??
If the information is here and I’m just not finding it… Please except my apologies for jumping the gun.

Funny how you advertise going to your web site to get info on the Wiggles US Tour and I’ve been all through the site and find nothing. Would you care to actually post what you advertise or at least give out phone numbers to contact the informed sources? The info would be great to find as I don’t have hours to scour your site looking for something advertised that is NOT there!

I THINK PEOPLE ALL HAVE THEIR OWN WAY OF DEALING WITH THE DEATH OF A LOVED ONE. TERRI AND BINDI (STEVE IRWIN’S) WIFE AND DAUGHTER ARE NOT USING HIS DEATH TO PROMOTE WHAT EVER IT IS THEY WANT TO DO BUT ARE KEEPING HIS SPIRIT ALIVE AND MISSING HIM IN THEIR OWN WAY!! SPEAKING FROM SOMEONE WHO JUST LOST HER FATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lynn: You go Girl!! I agree with you whole heartedly. I missed their appearance on Ellen DeGeneres and stayed up last night till 2 am to see the repeat. These are fantastic people with warm hearts and amazing courage. Too bad this person also didn’t see Terri’s appearance on Jay Leno. Terri misses Steve very much. These two had the relationship everone dreams of having with their mate. This is how this family chooses to deal with their grief, but continuing to live life as Steve would wish, rather than hide from the world.

I certainly realize this Kay person has a right to her opinion. Obviously she has never watched Steve or his family or know anything about them..if she had, she would know that they are doing exactly the right thing for the grieving process and to protect his memory. How dare she complain about all they do for wildlife conservation, and his legacy. Poo to her and her vicious attitude. The Irwins are wonderful people and certainly deserve all they achieve in life. I have been a Steve Irwin admirer for years, and i am so glad his life is continuing in Terri, Bindi and little Bob. I love all of them. Go find another cause Kay you are barking up the wrong tree. shame on you

Kay you are sorry human being you should know like the rest of the world people grieve differently. They did seek counseling she does not want to hold her children back for doing what they want and love to do. Also, it is great to see Terry and Bindi together and promoting wildlife together. You still can see they are both suffering from thier lost but you need to get your boots on and go forward and that is want Steve would wanted them to do.

Go Terry and Bindi and wildlife warriors you are my heroes.

I love these two! They are still grieving now and all this activity is good for them. I know since I am now myself going through a similar loss. I was truly saddened when Steve died and I am sure his family is not over it yet by any means. I think it’s great they are carrying on his legacy and Steve would just want Terry and Bindy and Bob to be happy. The more attention they can bring to the cause he believed in and they believe in, the better!

You grieve and you move on. What Terri and Bindi in my opinion are doing is continuing what Steve strated and what he would have wanted. All Steve wanted to do was to save wildlife and now that he can’t it’s up to the two women who knows how he would have done it to continue it. You can’t grieve for to long because you will miss the bigger picture. Yes, Steve is gone and will never be back but his life’s work will go on through his family. I have the greatest repect and love for the Irwin family and I hope they continue to fill Steve’s dream.

Already I have had enough of Terri and Bindi! It appears to me that Steve Irwin’s death is being used to promote this Mother/Daughter duo. They just seem to be a little too Happy go Lucky after having lost such a close loved one.Bindi is just a little too dramatic in my opinion and comes across as fake and showy. They should both be allowed to absorb the death of their husband/father, instead of using it as a tool.

NO, I do not think Isaiah Washington should be fired. I think the press is just making a mountain out of a mole hill. Burk’s character is very important to the show. Come on people, people get called and call people names everyday. It is a part of life, turn the other cheek and be the bigger person and forgive. Thanks Charlotte Warren Selmer, Tennessee
