Angelina's Mother, Bertrand, Passes Away in L.A.

The mother of Angelina Jolie, actress Marcheline Bertrand, passed away on Saturday after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Jolie, her older brother James Haven and beau Brad Pitt were with Bertrand at the time of her passing at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Bertrand, who had small roles in the movies “Lookin’ to Get Out” in 1982 and “The Man Who Loved Women” in 1983, raised Jolie and her brother after divorcing their father, Oscar winning actor Jon Voight, when Jolie was a toddler.

A private funeral is planned.

What is wrong with humanity today? Karma does not punish. What Karma is: Your actions have an effect on the lives of other people and living things. Your actions change their lives. In turn these effects, caused by you change their actions towards the people they encounter, effecting these other peoples lives. Eventually , the effects your actions had upon others return to you affecting your life. The number of others affected by your actions and the degree to which they were affected magnifies these return effects. This “Karmic Return” reaches the physical, mental, and spiritual levels.
So, when Angelina and Brad started seeing each other their actions had an effect on Jennifers life (her and Brad broke up). Is this offence bad enough to cause the death of Angelinas mother? For goodness sakes no. The devine creator is the only one to make those decisions. Brad and Jen would have split anyway, Angelina just sped up the action. Those of you saying the terrible things should worry about Karma biting you in the butt.

I was not going to comment on this topic, as enough people gave their condolences. However, I was shocked by the comments of two in particular ~~~~ The hate and bitterness left on the page was tangible. Sounds as if a partner was lost to a beautiful woman here? The comments were venomous, at a time when it was most inappropriate. And then I read the previous comment, which expounds about karma, (which I happen to believe in).

….The pain of losing a loved parent to death is entirely different from losing a spouse who no longer loves you enough to stay with you. When someone you love, who loves you very much is terminally suffering, and then dies, the loss is excruciating. No loss of a partner who shows they no longer love you, by giving that love to another, will be mourned over or grieved in the same way at all! AND, this is not karma! ~~~~~~ We all will lose someone to illness and death at sometime, no matter how much good karma we have saved up. So this was NOT Angelina’s punishment as implied. It takes two to tango, and if the chemistry had not happened between her and Brad, Jennifer would not have lost her husband. ~~~~~~ This must be a risk all actors and actresses take with their profession. They act out love scenes for film, and real emotions must arise. What do you expect? It is all down to making money and ego’s. Hearts will be broken, and no blame can be placed on any one person involved.

I’M sorry your mother died but I’M NOT SORRY FOR YOU!!!!!!!Like the guy said above if you cause pain you get pain back! I TOO LOST MY MOTHER, TO A RARE FORM OF LEUKEMIA I WACHED HER BLEED TO DEATH FIRST HER BOWELS THEN HER KIDDNEYS THEN HER BODY RAISED UP AND BLOOD CAME GUSHING OUT OF HER MOUTH AND NOSE! SO I KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO LOOSE YOUR MOTHER SO I FEEL BAD FOR HER AND YOUR BROTHER BUT NOT YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Well Angelina,

There truly is Karma

While you are feeling the heart wrenching soul destroying loss of your mother you may have a little understanding of how Jennifer Aniston felt when you destroyed her marriage by taking her husband.

What goes around comes around in one form or another. If you cause people pain you get pain back.

My condolences to you and your family, Angelina. Your mother is in a better place now, away from the constant pain and fear of cancer. I too lost my mother for Ovarian cancer, it is ugly and very painful to lose your mother, but God will take care of you and will give you comfort and hope ….try to find comfort in the fact that your mother has watched you grow to be a wonderful and mature lady that you are
with beautiful kids and a good husband and father of your kids, Brad.

I will keep you in my prayers…give God time in your life and he will strengthen and encourage you …

with deepest symphathy,

God Bless

Since our destiny is written for us the day we arrive on this earth, rest assured that your Mother was extremely proud of your humanitarian soul. Keep yourself busy and keep your mother’s light alive in your actions throughout the remainder of your life. This is not the end, but the beginning of another chapter in your life. You and your mother will meet again, when the time comes.
Thank you for speaking out and the actions you take for those who cannot help themselves.
God bless you and I will keep you in my prayers.

not disrespecting death nor alluding the sad fact…but, everyone loses a family member at some point in their life…i have lost 2 and just recently at thanksgiving..last year..soooo..i did not snub anyone nor act haughty…she acted that way on the red carpet because she is guilty of all her sins and hollywood knows it. she had no country, cause, nor friends to hide behind…so she had to act a part. great actress? sorry for her mother.

Dear Ms. Angelina and Family
My condolences,
A message of Consolation

On the wings of death and sorrow
God sends us new hope for tomorrow,
And in His mercy and His grace
He gives us strength to bravely face
The lonely days that stretch ahead
And to know our loved one is not dead
But only sleeping out of our sight,
And we’ll meet in that land where there is no night.
May God bless until you meet again.

Sincerely,
Davine R. Hurt

To Ryan Seacrest:”

You blasted Angelina at the Golden Globes for not talking to you.

Her mother was dying..you should have known that instead of going on the radio and slamming her.

Shame, shame, shame, on you.

Dear Angelina and family,

My condolences and may you find peace and strength with each passing day. I can rely to her situation for I too have lost my mother due to a long battle with cancer and ironically she passed during the Christmas of 2002 her favorite time of the year. God speed..

Sincerely your fan,

Jane
