Thanks for the article about Ricky Martin. Ricky is so much more than just a great entertainer! He is an amazing person! I have been a fan of Ricky’s music for almost 13 years, but I admire him tremendously for his humanitarian work. He is truly an inspiration to me and makes me want to be involved personally with children’s charities to help make this world a better place for these precious angels.

It truly saddens me that mainstream American media does not seem to give Ricky the credit that he is due. Maybe one day American journalists, radio personalities and tv media gurus will wake up and realize what an amazing person the world has in Ricky Martin! Thank you.

Always pearls of wisdom from his mouth. Ricky Martin is the best entertainer. He only took a brief break from his hectic career, not a decade. I loved his Almas Del Silencio, Life and Unplugged CDs. His Life concert tour was amazing. Most of all I love him for his humanitarian work which he has been doing since he was 14 years old. His foundation is doing everything possible to eradicate child exploitarion, in any form, around the world. Kudos to this fantastic human being!

I’m grateful that Ricky Martin could step away from the spotlight to gather himself back together after wanting to really take time off from being famous.
I totally appreciate that so much from him.

Ricky Martin may have “stepped away” for some people, but not for me. I have been following his humanitarian work for some time and I have been very impressed with what he does for the children of the world. I am very happy that he is once again sharing his music with us; I admire him as an artist, but most importantly, I adminire him as a person.

I’m sorry but the Extra TV staff needs to do some research before they do a report. Since “shaking his bonbon” (which was only 6-7 years ago)and “walking away from the spotlight and leaving fame behind”, as you said, Ricky released 2 English language albums: “Sound Loaded” and “Life” and one in Spanish: “Almas Del Silencio”, had six(6) #1 hits on Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and 2 top 10 songs. He won many awards, appeared on many shows in America and around the world, had a sold out tour, appeared before the Congress, twice, talking about the human trafficking problem, and did a lot of important charity work around the world. For some reason these things are never reported on shows like Extra and Access Hollywood. They mostly ignore Ricky’s musical achievements, humanitarian and charity work, but do report about silly incidents like Ricky lost his balance and fell when he tried to get down from a roof of a van after waving to thousands of fans who came to greet him in Argentina…
Extra please stop ignoring Ricky, get your facts and priorities straight and report about what is really important.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him perform many times in 2006 and am always struck by his stage presence and professionalism. One request, though, would you please let the man move on.
