Passion, intrigue and sexy hook-ups may sound like a plotline from the primetime hit “Grey’s Anatomy,” but think again -- we’re talking about the real-life romances of the TV docs.
“Extra” went on rounds, and here’s what we found out about the hot stars.
Patrick Dempsey, a.k.a. McDreamy, has been married to his best friend, Jill, for seven years. Together, they have a young daughter and are currently expecting twins.
So what about McDreamy’s on-screen dream girl, Meredith Grey?
Grey, played by actress Ellen Pompeo, is known for her infamous puppy dog eyes when talking about her music producer fiancé, Chris Ivery.
“Anywhere with him is romantic,” Pompeo gushed.
But what about those steamy love scenes with McDreamy?
“That’s the part that’s awkward; it’s not actually doing it, it’s explaining it,” Ellen admitted.
Pompeo’s on-screen best friend, Cristina Yang, is played by Sandra Oh, and like her co-stars, Sandra has a lover in her life.
Oh, who split last year from her husband, “Sideways” director Alexander Payne, is learning to love again thanks to a new man, who -- for now -- is still under wraps.
Other hearts we monitored included Katherine Heigl, who recently received a Golden Globe nod for her lovable character, Izzie Stevens.
And “Extra” discovered that Katherine didn’t just appear in Josh Kelley’s new video; she’s starring in his love life -- they’re engaged!
Last but not least is McSteamy, a.k.a. Eric Dane.
But this seriously hot sexpot won’t be found anywhere else but with his wife, “Vanished” co-star Rebecca Gayheart.
Who needs fiction when you’ve got this kind of reality?
